i have been at it for well over a week now and on stage 9 boss fight, it is annoying but i will get it done. this journey has made me really hate playing though and has ruined my char for me...

I'd rather not slave away grinding vMA of all places, for an ugly as *** staff, that only gives me 100 sd.
its 180 and i feel you but for end of game gear crafted stuff just wont do and these weps and needed in most cases
to be amoung the top players you do, it's a fair amount extra dps, i like hitting the max stats i can
It's when people say things like this that I'm reminded just how little so many of the complaints on these forums actually mean to me.
Like, I'm not saying that it isn't important to some people, or that there's anything wrong with that. It's just that, until you said that, I was thinking... "Yeah, the risk versus reward here just isn't worth it." then you said that and it turned into, "Do I even care about this reward?"
i get that but there a lot of people who would love these weps but just don't see the point considering the stress of vma just for a chance, it sucks
Exactly, then coupled by the fact these weapons look hideous, I'd prefer to craft a choice style in a choice trait.ShedsHisTail wrote: »NateAssassin wrote: »Lol I don't use a vMA staff and I can pull 25k dps on my magsorc lol, you don't need them at all.NateAssassin wrote: »Never will even attempt, I'd rather keep using my crafted staff, the fact I can 100% choose the trait and style is nice.

It's sad when I see things like this.
I mean,is this the only reason you guys play ESO? Just for endgame gear?
No wonder you always cry"quit!".
No game will ever give you the feelings of accomplishment you want. Not even a better weapon. Not in the end.
You'll always want more than any game can give you.
(not being rude,just sayin')
That is exactly a l2p issue, not meant in a mean way. It is quite the suffering doing it the first few times, I agree. I am not much of a fan either, I'll still do it multiple times per week to try get the weapons I still lack at some point.
It gets better. Yes it will be frustrating not being rewarded for the effort, but it will get easier. By a lot. You'll notice.

Wow... beta tester and you are still here? I expect you are someone to ask about "what makes this game fun for you over the long haul"
And as an aside, BTW have you done vMA?
I haven't even done the non-vet, nor do I intend to.
Wow one player wrote they had done VMA 100 times and still no weapon drop. That is totally pathetic. I can see doing VMA until you complete it but after that the challenge for me would be gone. ZOS should of given players another option to acquire the MA weapons besides having to continue to farm the arena's content. I for one am sick and tired of ZOS's repeatable content. For me it is no fun to do the same content over and over again.

I spent nearly 15 hours fishing Bangkori for ONE blue fish! It was the last one I needed for the Covenant fishing achievement. Don't want to think of the total number of hours! It sucked and was frustrating at times but it was my choice to do that rather than sometime fun in the game. Atleast your farming experience is more interactive and entertaining than that.
Take a break and go back in a few days. It seems to give you a better favor with the RNG god.

Maelstrom Destro in a good trait is best in slot by a mile. If that doesn't appeal to you, then you are all good. Not everyone cares about such things. Now if you are suggesting that the difference is negligible compared to a crafted staff, you are simply wrong. My tests show a Maelstrom Destro adds about 3-5k DPS depending on the encounter. That is pretty significant, and I dont think any other single item can do that.

Maelstrom 1h on a stam DK adds much more, but you are right about the staff being BIS for Magicka DPS.

well thanks, i will keep at it!
how? its not an inability to do it, i am proving that i can, it is the suffering it puts you through just to get nothing back from it
