This so called person of interest that was found cheating on DC a few mornings ago, belongs to an AD guild. This guild contains several players and 3 of those players were recently crowned Emp on DC. The more I think about it, the more it starts to smell bad.

There are some really good people on DC that i see play all the time and they try to do what is best for our alliance. They are the ones that deserve to be Emp. Just recently one of those players dropped 2 FCs at one fight ( 40,000 AP ). Those are the types of players that should be crowned Emp, not someone who know how to cheat the system.

Crap I fork them up all the time and never been a emp......I don't play but a few hrs daily if that

@vamp_emily I think most people understand what you're saying. I think the most honest thing I can tell you is that you end up giving less *** about who becomes emp because of how useless the emp thing is. Of course you want friends to get emp but at the end of the day you just want to have fun. Imo

I have an update on this topic.

I was so wrong, I had a talk with the highest ranking person. He is very smart, explained everything to me and how he did it. He did not cheat or do any trade kills.

I doubted him at first, but he definitely earned my respect.

I wonder of Zeni will ever take another look at the whole Emperor config someday and rework it. It might be cool to add some Generals and even lesser officers that have some elevated powers or perks. Say maybe generals can drop special types of forward camps that stay up as long as they are alive and in the area but they can only do that once a day or something. I don't know. Some way to get players to rally around the supposed leaders.

I just crazy talkin' though.

The stress on keeping on the leaderboards gets annoying; your no.1 with a healthy lead yet you wonder where no.2 is getting their AP, no.3 is a good ganker, your friends with no.4 they help you with your lead. Being No.1 on the Ap leaderboards means your a standard bearer, newbs look up to you for rezs , enemy players wish to gank you or 1v1 you to get more standing. You might even be called a zerger when you only arrive in large battles when the conditions favor your side and you get that juicy offensive tick. Not to mention the guild politics involved in getting emp, thats why I stopping going for no.1, my last was a DC toon called Faikyre, magic sorc rip.

I would like this but only with the 1st person on the leaderboards or only have it for the emp

As long as the emp system is tied primarily into AP gain, and AP gain does not correlate with leadership in any way, I don't see public/visible/map-oriented perks being a smart inclusion.

For every emp/leaderboard hero that WANTS to have a marker so they can have randoms helping (leaching) them, I bet there are a dozen that would prefer that information not be available. Especially those that prefer solo or small group play.

If you are on the leaderboard and want to provide a marker on the map to guide the puggles, start a zone group. Forcing that role on someone? Ew.

Completely agree with DeadyRecluse, most Emps (im assuming cause ive never been an emp) would rather not have a bunch of people following them around... And the top 10 would rather not have more people following them for loss of AP

If I want to lead a pug group I'll lead a pug group. I'm not particularly keen on having everybody know where I am at all times just because I'm in the top ten. Honestly while the intentions might be good, something like that would just be used by opposing factions to exploit. No thanks.

As for current topic: Markers on emp or those in top 10 sounds like it could be too much of an opportunity for a troll-fest imo. Esp with all the faction hopping that goes on, meh not really needed. Though I would love to see them rework Emp in some regard.
