I'm a lurker, nobody knows who I am and that's fine but I do read this every day and wanted to make my first post in here after watching this derail.
This thread has had such a feeling of community and reminds me often why I've chosen to make my home in BWB and not 'graduate' to a vet campaign (the people). Sure there's competition in BWB but the people here are respectful to each other both in and out of the game for the most part. It's awesome to see the same people, hear their stories and perspectives as it plays out differently than your own on the battlefield. It's awesome people have realm pride and are strongly behind their team (GO EMILY). It's awesome to feel like you kinda know the people you spend so much time fighting with and against. That's beginning to be hard to find in multiplayer games these days and probably why you're in BWB too.
However, ego and "I'm going to show you how much better I am than you" or "you're playing wrong" is so contrary to that feeling of community (and how this thread has gone up to this point) that it's hard to enjoy what's going on in here right now. I'm going to be bummed when we don't have a place to hang out (this is closed/locked) because people think they're bigger and more important than the overall community.
Doing pretty good tonight even with AD pop-locked again.Really good fight at Nikel. We take Nikel with 4 people and AD takes it back with 20. Good times. Lol

6 of those members sat at the wall of Southern High Rock Gate and farmed the 3 DC members.
For the 30 minutes I was there, AD camped us as we jumped off the walls of High Rock when they could have easily walked in took the scroll and left.

No disrespect to the Wolf, you would have died. Cold fire was not even phasing them.
Then there are those that can come in and 2 shot me while taking zero damage. It appears I still have some work to do.

Capping in-game group size at 12 rather than 24 would help some too. Probably not solve it, as often the pugzergs are made up of several loose groups, but it would help.
Zos DID make some changes to AP gain so that you get more RFTW in a smaller group, as you make more AP, but that mechanism is obscure enough I doubt a lot of people factor it into their playstyle/decision process.
Hopefully the city capture mechanic spreads out the pugzergs a bit.vamp_emily wrote: »I think a lot of people on here are missing the problem. It isn't about zerging. It is more about Campaign Balance, flip flopping sides, and changing campaigns.
This certainly doesn't help. I will say, for the first time in a while, after AD crowned we just got hammered. It was pretty awesome. Didn't feel like the normal "Faction X emped, time to log on to faction X" nonsense.
We still have this day though...vamp_emily wrote: »The unspoken rule has been broken and someone needs to pay the consequences
This morning 20+ players came strolling into the gate near High Rock to retrieve the scroll. 6 of those members sat at the wall of Southern High Rock Gate and farmed the 3 DC members.

I am here seeking justice and sympathy for the 3 DC members that repeatedly died such a brutal death. AD needs to pay the consequences for breaking the unspoken rule.
To the members that fought hard this morning, I solute you! Rest in peace for those that will not be returning to the game.

Sounds like the same guy I met. I was looking for every opportunity to kill one of them and then this 2H NB comes in and slices right thru my unstoppable shield like its nothing. I and someone else was fighting him while other guy hit him with cold fire. I was thinking.. "Ya I can kill him now", but his health never even moved an inch.
I bet it is some gear combination that is allowing him to take no damage.
