Hmmmmmm .... I did move my computer last night to a monitor and felt like I was doing better... even got a few solo kills... rare for me! Maybe I'll have to move to the monitor for PvP... PvE stuff I can still do on my couch with a controller, though!

@Valen_Byte - only the brave try magDK (as a person that crowned on a magDK, they're in a bad spot). ZOS, please give me back my Dragonblood.

I play on a laptop (Lenovo y50) and connect it to a 32" tv via HDMI. It works better than my previous 24" Asus monitor that I was using and I have it basically right in front of my face (I'm blind anyway). When I connect to my MUCH larger tv in the living room, it sucks because I feel so far away and it's hard to see everything (again, I'm blind though).

Lol yup my only time as emp was on my magDK ; )) and that was pre TG for both of us hah

I did quite well with my magDK. In fact I had the most fun playing my magDK and am building a new one. That being said, much cussing and crying is involved with playing one.

I can only speak for myself and the groups I lead (roughly half of the organized groups we run), but when we tower farm the philosophy is always to do our best to flag the keep, either before or after taking the resource. That's the distinction I make between running a tower as a distraction and running it as a true farm. Does it make good AP? Eh, to be honest there are better ways in BWB.

Agreed 100%. Once you log into a faction for a campaign, you should be faction locked for that duration. It USED to work more like this, but there were many well-known workarounds. Whether the change to the current unlocked system was a change in ZOS's intent or merely an admission that they couldn't close the loopholes is up in the air.

Yes. Without a cap, a small coordinated group could fire enough AOE off at one moment to melt every player in the radius. With the cap, a large group takes less damage than one would logically expect from that AOE. They are artificially protected from it.

@Valen_Byte Which group? Namira's here, shamefacedly admit I didn't come back until b2p, and only as a casual then. Zergs were definitely a thing even then, and the stress tests seemed to have them explicitly in mind " get to level 10 and enter Cyrodiil" was even in the emails if I recall correctly.

So that explains your super wide video creation. I was wondering why your videos turned out wide.

Even though I only play ESO on one monitor, I have to have duel monitors. Usually when I am playing ESO I'm actually playing another social game also. One game on my laptop screen and then ESO on a external monitor.

Same here, I have my TV and two monitors hooked up to my PC so I can watch something or play another game, ESO, and get whatever work I need to get done lol

I'm a lurker, nobody knows who I am and that's fine but I do read this every day and wanted to make my first post in here after watching this derail.

This thread has had such a feeling of community and reminds me often why I've chosen to make my home in BWB and not 'graduate' to a vet campaign (the people). Sure there's competition in BWB but the people here are respectful to each other both in and out of the game for the most part. It's awesome to see the same people, hear their stories and perspectives as it plays out differently than your own on the battlefield. It's awesome people have realm pride and are strongly behind their team (GO EMILY). It's awesome to feel like you kinda know the people you spend so much time fighting with and against. That's beginning to be hard to find in multiplayer games these days and probably why you're in BWB too.

However, ego and "I'm going to show you how much better I am than you" or "you're playing wrong" is so contrary to that feeling of community (and how this thread has gone up to this point) that it's hard to enjoy what's going on in here right now. I'm going to be bummed when we don't have a place to hang out (this is closed/locked) because people think they're bigger and more important than the overall community.

@wiccax , I like you. I agree with you. I love that for the most part, I'm in a community where I can kill a player or get killed by a player and have a congenial conversation about builds. For example, just yesterday (or two days ago, I was on call and don't really remember) I had a discussion with an EP player after I got soundly rekt about rearming trap. I'd never seen that skill in PvP and was obliterated by it - I didn't even know the animation or what it really did.

I think in-game and out, we know the good apples and the bad ones. I'll just shun the bad ones and keep talking to the good ones.

I don't know why people seem to have an ego in this game. I've got real life things that I'm proud of - a video game I play for fun isn't going to be where I find self-worth.

I think most people with self-worth can find it in all things. Knowing what you are capable of in-game and out is nothing to be ashamed of.

Player A trash talks player B.
If player B says anything at all back player B automatically has an ego and can only find self worth in a game.

The whole ego and self worth thing are stretched and manipulated to what best fits the arguer's point of view.

I take pride in my work, I take pride in how I raise my kids, I take pride in martial arts, I take pride in my hobbies, and I also take pride in video games; I don't feel the need to claim I don't take pride in all aspects of life and I think those that feel the need to separate their pride in online aspects or pretend that people can't take pride in everything they do only say such things because they have nothing to be proud of.

If I out perform a player or group of players in a game, I take pride in it; just like I would if I out performed someone in any other competitive environment.

Eventually I'll get back into campaign but I finally finished the TG and now working on Wrothgar (found the lady for the Frothgar quests!)... but I'd like to participate in such small man battles.... or sorcs getting their pets to fight each other and we bet on them. That's been something I've been wanting to see for a while.

Also, since Emily isn't here yet... today is technically the last day of my work week during the summer so I'll just leave this here until she comes in with the annual celebratory Friday gif!

For the record, I think this is the most obnoxious gif I've ever seen.

I'm so jealous, I wish I had Fridays off.

My boss is so lucky he took the rest of the week off, and now I have to pretend to work while he is gone.....ugh.

You might not want to tell to many people you have Fridays off. I heard those AD players get mean. This is what they did to the last person who publicly announced they had Friday off
