Every time I check the population it is like this

2 Bars AD, 1 Bar EP, 1 Bar DC
3 Bars AD, 1 or 2 bars EP, 2 Bars DC

Some times I do see 2 Bars AD, 2 Bars DC, 1 or 2 Bars EP. Those are the times it is Fun. But the problem is if AD only has 2 bars and DC has 2 bars, its almost a guarantee DC will win the fights.

Shakes my head, fun you say? You must be on ADs side. Looks at your signature..mmhmm exactly what I thought.

This is a real problem.

It doesn't seem that long ago that holding emp was a struggle. When Naps-All-The-Time emped, we basically stopped running guild groups in BWB for more than an hour or two per day, because neither red nor blue made a strong dethrone attempt.

I do think it has to do with people swapping factions to the side that's up, which makes no dang sense to me. But the last several times we've emped, its gone from 3-3-2 or 2-2-1 population to 3-1-1 in like 20 minutes after a new emp is crowned. A couple months ago, new emps didn't just get free passes to push scrolls, and they often had to start defending emp keeps right away.

It sure seems that the change to allow people to home multiple characters on different factions in the same campaign (and swap without consequences) has something to do with it.

Eh, Monday and Tuesday were pretty boring, this campaign, but early days often are. Wednesday and Thursday were all right. I have hopes for the weekend.

I haven't been on enough over the past few days but when I have been on its been pretty steady but then I'm on 10pm est and pretty sure most of the west coast is logging in by then

Def agree with u on that vyle.... the only good thing so far out of the @name being displayed for when DB goes live would be that u would be able to tell those that are faction hoping easier

The most recent was the most notable, as it literally went from 2-2-1 to 3-1-1. Not only did people log off, they logged on to AD.

Yup. I think people on the factions on the defensive often forget that crowning that emp usually took coordination from multiple groups, a high-effort thing that often doesn't continue AFTER the crowning. So the campaign doesn't have to die, as long as you don't log off. /shrug.

@vamp_emily , I guess this is where you and I differ. I'd be pretty jazzed being on my back foot all the time - I'd be guaranteed good fighting and great AP. I wouldn't have to ride my slow ponies too much because the enemies would just come to me. That said, camping tri-keeps is a faux pas and a step too far.

You're right that I do only play AD. And despite some pretty odd folks on DC and EP telling me they know my "secrets" that I'm tri-faction, I wouldn't be caught dead coming into Cyrodiil anywhere but the Eastern or Western Elsweyr Gates. I'm on your side with hating how people will switch factions so easily. ZOS really does need to change that situation - faction hopping is super irritating and it wasn't hard to jump into a campaign if it wasn't your home/guest before. What I don't understand is when people faction hop to the high population alliance. Do they just need a self-esteem boost or do they think that it's fun to hugely outnumber the enemy and have a short-lived fight? Like @DeadlyRecluse mentioned, there hasn't been fighting after an AD emperor has crowned - just like EP and DC have logged, I've logged too. No point in staying up late and not studying if there isn't fighting to be had.

I should clarify why I think this campaign has been fun. We've been playing for 4-5 days (who's counting?) and no faction crowned emperor - that's pretty telling. The scores as of yesterday had only 300-400 points difference between third and first place. And while AD has at times grossly outnumbered EP and DC, to the credit of DC and EP, we haven't been able to crown. It's been great to see both EP and DC making smart choices and ganging up on AD because we outnumber them and lead in score.

Also, sorry that I've been beelining to proxy bomb you a little bit lately, @vamp_emily .

Agreed. .. it's the people that jump to the emp faction side that usually kill the campaign imo mainly because it leaves the faction they left with less of a pop. .. the more people that do it leaves that faction getting steam rolled

Exactly. And that's no fun for any faction, whether your the one with less pop bc of it or the one with most bc of it. Steam rolling isn't fun, its boring AF. I want a good fight, one that goes back and forth and is intense but that isn't possible when people hop factions so much or when people just straight log off bc another faction has emp or whatever. It kills the campaign.

So much this. If people would just not log or hop factions after another faction has crowned there could be some amazing fights. After a crowning the crowning faction should be on its toes defending, not lazily taking the whole map and scrolls. It really hasn't always been like this, before TG patch it wasn't. Now hopping is too damn easy. I don't understand those guys one bit.

One guild made me leave AD because of they're annoying habit of taking credit for all victories and blaming everyone else for all defeats. Now it's becoming unbearable in BWB. I'm playing more in Guest campaigns now.

If its not them, idk who else it could be. If at any time our members act that way it certainly isn't when we are around and if I find out they are anything but respectful, there will be consequences.

At any rate, that sucks, I hope it hasn't soured you to the point you wont come back. There's nothing better than being excited to play in your home and when others make you feel like not being there it kinda ruins it.

The guild is still live and well in BWB AD, so might not be the same guild we're thinking of. I'm just waiting for this guild to move on then I'll be rejoining BWB AD. The Dominion is my faction that I'll always return to... just can't stand that guild.

I run with BYTE when I'm on AD BWB, so no worries about that guild. I like them.

... And I once was a member of BYTE too XD

@WhitePawPrints , I hope you aren't referring to Guild of Night Blader (praise thee).

Just for the record, while we may be ridiculous and sometimes/often spam zone chat, we've got a huge appreciation for many of the larger guilds like Byte, Pugz, AOTD, TRC, and others. They do a huge amount of heavy lifting for AD and we're not so absurd as to take credit for their work.

I hope that it's not us that's driven you away, but if it is maybe this can explain things a little bit.

I for one claim to be the reason ad has been successful in all its victories. Those resource towers hold a mystical energy that can prove useful so thus they must be destroyed to unlock their power. And they also talk bad about our mothers.
