Shuffle Bug Needs To Be Fixed ASAP

Came very close to 50% in all four test rounds.

I don't know if it's the same bug or not, but Shuffle has been broken for months. This is being used by almost every Stam build and needs to be fixed ASAP. Against some players, I am missing 5 concealed weapons in a row -- even from cloak; they are not being roll dodged.

    Status quo honestly.

    I been saying its been broken for months, and didnt wanna be the guy to out it like I did last time something was kept on the downlow and it came out.

    I am surprised testing showed 50, when i tested it it was closer to 70 on 500 attacks

    Theres a reason everyone in the streamer/dueling circle started running the exact same build.

    Petty sure it doesn't dodge 50% of attacks. Last I did a major test (200+ hits) it was 19,5% or so.
    Haven't tested this patch though.

    Just because you dodge 4 hits in a row, doesn't mean you dodge 50% of all hits.

    Might give it a go abit later today to double check.

    You do realise that it's a 20% chance on each attack independent of previous attacks, not 'dodge 1 of every 5'.

    You could dodge 20 straight attacks with the right rng.

    That said, I haven't tested it over a large number of attacks.

    There is a problem with dodge in general, when you see some one standing up not doing anything special, shoot at them 5 or six times or more and they dodge all of them every time, happens to everyone in my group cant seem to hit certain people, I am sure it is another exploited broken game mechanic.

    @zyk We identified that to them at the last two guild meetings as well. Even told them how to do it (to stack dodge chance up to 99%).

    I have suspected this for some time now. 20% is OPAF as it is, and reason enough to be on everyones backbar with almost no exceptions.

    50% is absurd OP. It's so OP that if you die 1v1 while running Shuffle, you should quit the game now.

    I will confirm these tests when I have time.

    I do notice that some players can dodge alot more than others. I personally think it is related to exploits. My dodge chances when I use shuffle seems to be around 20%. I've never seen anything wrong with it.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)

    Soulac tested it. Soulac is not an idiot (most of the time). 800 is a fair sample size. Reason enough to be skeptical, and reason enough for others to contribute to a larger sample size.

    To be fair, this game doesnt exactly support build diversity. What's effective is what's effective, and even at the intended 20%, you're completely mitigating 1/5th of all attacks against you, passively. There is no reason whatsoever this shouldnt be on every stamina build's bar.

    Personally I think passive dodge chance buffs in a game with an active dodge mechanic is silly to begin with. The dodge chance buffs should be scraped entirely (like miss chance debuff was) and replaced with either Minor protection or something new.

    These skills were designed at a time with softcaps, without excessive dodge roll.

    I agree with you in the current design of the game, ZOS probably should have modified them for magicka builds or replaced them with protection or something.

    Same here.
    I used Shuffle for half an eternity on my own stamina build; blur on my magicka one.
    Never noticed a higher chance than actually stated in the tooltip.
    On the other hand I fought stamina builds dodging near everything, only having shuffle up.

    Dunno if there is a difference in animation canceling or not tho..

    And please don;t say every stamina players is gonna QQ I am stamina and if it is broken ZOS needs to fix it. PERIOD ! Be magicka or stamina.

    That is true, my assessment was being a bit unfair to ZOS and the initial design. Along similar lines, it still probably plays a critical role as a damage mitigation option on the No-Cp campaign (or for low cp players in general). I don't want them to strip away any of stamina's defensive options, I would just prefer it be implemented differently. Maybe it's something ZOS will look into tweaking for the Dark Brotherhood update.
