No, it's even worse than it was
Trying out the 64 bit client and the sound is starting to mess up, static noise, misplaced sound effects (water fall inside a house) and frequent pitch changes. So going back to the 32 bit client until they come up with a fix to it.

We simply can't tell yet. For those unaware, the engine updated to TG version is having a major performance issue, thus you can't really tell if the 64bit version is helping or not. It is too early. Most of the people commenting are associating the performance drop to the 64bit client when it has NOTHING to do with it. Once the engine issue gets fixed, THEN it will be possible to test the 32 vs 64 gain.

    No, not significant
    I really don't see a difference between 32bit and 64bit. I'm running on win 7 64bit. Intel 6500 3.2ghz. 8gb ram. 960gtx card.

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

OK, my performance is still way way better with the 64 bit client (I haven't yet had my FPS drop below 125 on ultra settings with the 64 bit client), but the weird sound artifacts were way worse for me this morning than they were when I was running dungeons last night. Until that's fixed, I'm going back to the 32 bit client.

Game ran same as always on the 32 bit client.

Tried 64 bit client and had a few small issues with some textures.

I do have a Dx11 card. Not sure if the 32 bit client still requires dx11 but yeah, seriously if your rocking a card older then 2009 its time for an upgrade, that card is even older then most console life cycles. You want to keep on gaming you have to squeak out an upgrade at least every 6 or 7 years even if its small. Cheap cards like a gxt 750 or 950 will run ESO great and many other games at 1080p

My first impression was, I had to run the 64bit version manually from game folder. My launcher runs the 32bit version with no options to run the 64bit version. So I think 64bit is still in beta.

besides all the bugs. FPS seemed down a little bit in the usual places. But frames seems smoother though. HB seems poorly optimized at this time because the fps there is horrendous dipping down to 20 fps when before i never got let than 35fps anywhere. However 32 bit client performance Is WAY worse than it was.

Just finished downloading the patch. Its working a lot smoother for me on the Mac. I switched from med to high textures with still better performance difference than it was before. Played 15 mins without issues.

Yes, the game is much more playable now
Playing on late 2009 iMac i7 - Radeon HD 4850 512MB video card

Since beta, I have been struggling to find the settings to get the game to run smoothly. Sometimes it would be ok, sometimes it would be incredibly frustrating. After patching to the 64-bit client, here is my experience:
    • Load time of the character login is a bit longer - not a big deal
    • Loading of models and textures as I'm moving is MUCH more noticeable now - objects pop in and out of view seemingly randomly - hopefully they will finesse this
    • Frame rate is GREATLY improved - was able to reach 80 FPS in some areas with high settings/lower screen resolution, unheard of with 32-bit client
    • Was actually able to duel in Cyrodiil without crazy FPS drops - never been able to do this before!
    • Still had some FPS drops depending on my surroundings, but definitely improved overall
    • Menus and crafting stations where the FPS would drop now maintain high frame rates
    • The NPC facial animations are very cool!
    • Combat music is more exciting now
    • Combat text is cool and very helpful

All in all I think this a huge step in the right direction and I might just be falling in love with the game all over again!

    GOOD JOB ZOS! B)

And now I try to login a few days later and get nothing but errors and can't even get to the character selection screen. Seems to be happening with a lot of other players. Knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up with this update...

No, it's even worse than it was
    32bit: ~60FPS
    64bit: ~15FPS

That's on PC (laptop), No addons
    Win 8.1
    i7-4810MQ 3.6ghz
    16GB memory
    Nvidia GTX 870M

Not the fastest system around, but it's always gotten the job done until now.

I wonder if it is even talking to my GPU, or if it is just using the Intel chip.

    I love it!

The bugs are hilarious, interesting, and awesome!

Plus it does seem to make things run smoother.
