Has the 64bit client improved the game for you? (First Impression)

So far... and bear in mind I was derping about in Wrothgar (not going near the new zone yet), the 64 bit client gave me pink critters and loading screens of doom. Went back to the 32bit client and it was much more "normal".

I did not really notice changes to fps, and played with the settings on very high as I usually do.

Didn't notice a difference. Lots of missing textures though.

Overall worse but nothing we can do about it now. My dilemma is do I run x64 w/ missing textures and annoying sound bugs or x32 which looks/sounds normal but massive loss of frames. :/

Significant improvement in gameplay - much smoother, shorter loading screens.
True, there are a few missing textures, but this didn't bother venturing in IC.

It feels slightly better, except for random audio errors (sound stops for a few seconds, or plays random white noise for a split second here and there)

Better GPU utilization, better CPU utilization, actually utilizing more than 8 GB RAM. Much better performance all around.

    Issues -

My Female khajitt is running around topless because her armor is see through ( Kitty boobs in their full glory, animated and all )

Random Sound FX glitches. Very annoying.

NPCs have missing textures. For example - The vendors in the keeps in Cyro have missing faces, missing hair, MISSING ARMS, etc, lol.

It's hard to say what issues are caused by the updates in this patch, including the 64 bit client, and what issues are caused by this being a new patch. Every new major patch is buggy; once they iron out the kinks, then we can tell what is good and what is bad.

Apart from performance...does the 64bits adds some better graphics?? Or it is meant just for performance?

It looks pretty much the same when you were on high graphics before - I had the impression that particle effects are a bit smoother, but I could be wrong. Ah well, distant terrain seems to load quicker and the transition is smoother,

I noticed this too. I can see keeps from WAY far away now in Cyro.

Blurry textures and permanent FPS loss are still in the 64 bits client, like the 32 Bits one (it was existing pre patch).

The TG update is a performance loss in general, both for 64bit but especially for 32bit. That was known since the first PTS patch. It is far better than it was on PTS (~40% in town) but the hit is still there:

    OwurNFp.png

The 60 is just coincidence, no Vsync, the performance hit is just worse the more is going on in the game...

This is a big mess. Thanks for the infom The zone is small and we have this fps loss. I guess it is bad coding. The zone is awesome anyway. hey modi are you gonna update ESO launcher for 64bits exe?

Clearly as the title says - I am curious. Because as for me, I haven't noticed anything new or better to that matter. But what's worse I keep seeing pink objects without texture, starting with my Daedrat, dead animals (such as goats are pink), even other players' mounts. My FPS in PvE has dropped drastically also.

What is your experience with the new client?

Edit: I do realize this is too early to tell (as half of you said, lol) but I wanted to see your first impressions. I am going back to 32bit client and just hope.

Sound glitches. I keep my game locked at 30FPS due to heat problems. Lenovo Y510p GT 755m SLI.

I think it's something broken with the ambient noises. I get random noises, at a loud volume.Creeky wood, a Stone door opening, water, static, fire crackling, a chirp, etc. It's randomly picked, but those keep coming back up. I did crash once while using it though. No further notes at this time.

Only a brief look in so far. Game feels smooth. Loading screens were not an issue. Did come across a pink deer in Auridon. Guessing I might strike a few more graphical problems like seen in some of the screenshots within this discussion.
Also noticed a kind of static hissing sound from time to time...

Using the x64 client, I'm experiencing regular crashes, sound artifacts, and even graphical artifacts. I do not know if these issues are limited to the x64 client or if this is the result of the new patch. I will note, however, a significant increase in performance ESPECIALLY in trials and in other scenarios where a large number of effects are being used on the screen simultaneously.

Too early to really tell, but my initial impressions are that it's running more smoothly for me. It did crash once yesterday running it, but that is to be expected. I also had a weird glitch where all females upper clothing was removed. I tried to record it, but forgot to turn on my background recording software. It only lasted about 60 seconds and did not repeat.

With using the ESO64.exe file to play the game, my wife and I have had no issues other than with the pink textures in which a relog fixed those. I was in PVP for a bit yesterday as well with no crashes there either. So far for us, the 64 bit works great.

We only have our Addons that are up to date turned on so I hate to say it, but if people are using Addons not updated for TG, that could be a lot of their problem.
