shield stacking was never a problem, hardened ward is.

Hardened Ward could be scaled back 10% and sorcs would be fine.

Healing Ward is actually the culprit and worst offender for shields.

The only reason why people QQ about Sorcs is because they have the mobility to use Healing Ward+Streak and reset the fight.

its not any one shield. its shields scaling off the dps stat. why do you think nobody ever mentions dk, or templar shields. because they scale off health(and therefore are not overpowerd), thats why.

scale them all off health. why is it that heals has to always be lower than dps but its fine to have shields as big as the heavy hitting moves?

How does one shield stack? I main a vet 16 Templar just made that class. I have the cat, sorc, wolf at lvl 18 now. Still don't know how to stack it.

Shields protect in the reverse order you apply them. So you want to cast Healing Ward (resto line) -> Harness Magicka (Light Armor line) -> Hardened Ward. Because you cast Healing Ward first, it is more likely to still be up and undamaged when the heal ticks.

You don't have to cast them all, and in most cases you won't want to. For example, Harness Magicka only protects against magicka attacks, so if you are facing a stam player, casting it is a waste of time and magicka. Or, in PvE group dungeons, you probably won't use Healing Ward when you have a dedicated healer, but most certainly will use Harness Magicka against many bosses.

Add a 1 second cast time for Ward.

It would still be viable for PvE while giving a small window of opportunity to kill a sorc in PvP.

Why does it need to be? They need all that survivabity when they also have most mobility in the game? Be honest sorc synergy is op they have no hard counter. And they want cloak merged.

Yeah luckily there is no class that just hardcounters another. When it comes to skills, there are some like Reflecting Scales against projectiles or Piercing Mark against Cloak. Or when it comes to sets, Shieldbreaker against shields. Hardened Ward is as much of a problem as Breath of Life or Cloak are/used to be - examples of what removal of softcaps and cp can do to a combat system like ESO's. Nerfing one skill after another can't solve that issue, just continuing like that is the very definiton of insane.
