I love that video. But that doesn't really say much other than 75% of the people he killed didn't hit their buttons. He's also grouped with other people.

This says everything about your mindset as a player of this game. You conveniently ignore facts and cry nerf. Did you notice maybe that the build in the video can be run by any class? he;s crit charge executing and dodgerolling for the bow speed buff. If a dk or a stam sorc ran that, with the right race combo they can do what he does better.
Also, he's in a group. AND this video is from when upper crag was released....

Most of them don't have any skill, in cyro, or in a situation where they can't gain a gank advantage they get owned, like stomped, because they have no skill, no brain function.
They only ever kill people when they gank someone under 50% health fighting mobs, that takes no skill.
I've built a gank build on ps4 before, it was stupidly easy mode and I genuinely felt bad, but I also felt bored, where's the fun in fighting targets that can't actually fight back or react due to being insta gibbed?
Literially find someone on a horse, snipe, ambush, suprise attack...90% of players are dead, for those few few left alive just ambush and suprise attack again.
Works on every player in the sewers too.

The average NB in pvp doesn't hit nearly as hard and I do look at my death sheet. The average hits from 3-6k per attack, at least from my experience. The reason this person is probably hitting hard could 1 or all of the things:
1. Good gear.
2. High stats especially high crit/damage/stamina.
3. Probably crit'ed at the time of the damage especially if said player has high crit.
4. Experienced PVP player skill.
5. Weaving or animation canceling from what you can tell on your death recap.
6. Frequent usage of lots of buffs and/or pots.
7. ? Whatever theory you can add as to why they hit so hard.
That certainly doesn't seem like the average NB damage. My highest SA hit for 8k, on average they hit for around 6-7k~ and I am fully geared too.
The player makes the class OP, but that can be with any class. If a player knows what they're doing and output the most damage, they're going to wreck people regardless of the class.
Stamblades can and do hit hard, yes they can be really powerful. They do have good burst damage, but survivability wise it's terrible. The defenses that a good Stamblade uses would be Vigor, Rally, Cloak, and/or Shuffle/Double Take. Most of the time it's a lot of dodging, rolling, moving, and healing with quick reaction time. Vigor isn't even a burst heal so someone can easily kill a NB healing if they are quick enough or have enough damage to finish one. Anyways, if the NB is not doing all that, the NB is dead in seconds. I've seen a lot of NBs in this situation and it's happened to me and it can be hard.Edited by MidnightBlue on December 12, 2015 8:55PM1 -

I have a stamina and magicka NB, my stamblade has 4.1k weapon damage - yet i've never recalled hitting anyone for 10k+ with ambush or surprise attack from stealth. Yet i get hit that constantly, how much more damage can you stack to pull it off? And this is with maces/mauls, both dual weild and 2handed with sharpened+CP.
What is it i am missing, i can't be that bad, how can others pull off those numbers but i can't, and no it's not CP or gear issue, I have best quality gear, CP at cap and damage maxed out, my stats look good, yet in reality it doesn't hit for ***. I've even been hit for 24k+ by a NB (by well known damage stacker/ganker on EU) - where do people pull off these numbers? I spend time every day looking at all armour/weapon sets online and no matter how I crunch the numbers, it just doesn't seem to add up. I know if i sacrifice my regens, i could get 300-400 more weapon damage, but that still doesn't equate to 10k more damage some people manage to pull off compared to mine. When i ask them what are they wearing or if they mind sharing their builds - the answer is: It's a secret.
So either there is something fishy going on or there are sets that are not listed on the wiki pages which i am unaware of, just can't make it out...
Anyone mind sharing a successful stamina NB DD/Gank build that works? Unless it's some super-guarded secret.
Maybe my brain isn't working as it used to be as I'm getting older - I used to be really good at MMO's and competitive games in my day, but ESO is still a mystery in many ways, guess with no real incentive and busy family life i'm missing something.
you are missing they probably use some exploit and dont want to be revealed and fixed

HaldaAinur✭✭✭I have to agree with the majority here- most classes can dish out a lot of damage if they work hard at it. There are most likely some balance issues, in which case, the other classes should be evened out so they are on par with NB.
But honestly, nightblade doesn't seem as horrendously overpowered (although it is in some areas) as you make it out to be. The class has as many flaws as any others which many could easily say need a few fixes here and there as well, to be fair.0 -

How do you survive 25k+ of burst damage if you don't mind me asking, especially when fighting mobs in IC .
Don't say "oh I use a detect pot etc" that's when you are aware they are near or after you, decet /immovable pots aren't up 100% of the time.
I literially have been killed within a split second, not even seen the attacks happen, there is zero defence against this, yesterday I got ambushed from stealth and was dead instantly, I only saw the ambush and even though I pressed break free I was dead before the animation had even started.
My death recap was lotus fan, proxy det, concealed weapon and soul harvest.2 -
XT4xm4nX✭✭✭So I was running around out of stealth and ran in to a Sorc with full shields to my dismay he beat me down.... OP NERF please... I'm kidding of course the point is don't fight a sorc with his shields up out of stealth as a NB and expect to win. Same principle applies don't get caught with half health or shields down by a stealthing NB because your not going to win. Nightblades are meant to win fights when they catch you by surprise. PvP is not a solo game by nature unless perhaps you are a NB. In a 1v1 duel NB are by no means at an advantage to other classes if said player knows what he is doing. The outcome is usually decided by a slip up from one player or the other and or a lopsided CP match up. You call for a NB nerf but I can all but guarantee you that the best nightblade in this game absolutely under no circumstances can beat the best sorcerer in the game heads up. But if that same nightblade happens to catch the sorc with his shields down more than likely will kill him in about 1 second. Magicka Templars are not the best suited class to be running around the sewers solo but on the other hand a group with a Magicka Templar in it becomes a much much stronger group. In group play adding a Templar will improve the groups ability to win fights way more than the addition of a NB. Every class in the game cant be equally good at everything. If it was what would be the fun in race class selection. This is an MMO not a FPS part of the game is theory crafting and building toon to do something special it isn't 100% about who has the most skill with the exact same abilities. In fact traditionally MMOs are not about skill its a small part of the game. Strategy and theory craft supersede skill in MMOs. Granted ESO does have an interested combat system that brings a bit of skill and reaction time in to the equation but just try and remember what kind of a game you are playing before you call out OP NERF on everything. Think roleplaying game here for a second. I'm a magicka templar running around in cloth gear killing monsters by myself and over there is a skilled deadly assassin with 2 bloody daggers born and bred to kill people when they aren't expecting it. BOOM im dead he got me... what doesnt make sense about that? anyway im pretty lazy and i'm not up to going back and correcting this awful grammar and such so im sorry for having you trudge through this but I hope the points open people up to different points of view. In closing I just want to say that Im not calling anyone out here or throwing the L2P at ya just trying to offer a different angle.
