A Guide To Magicka Templar DPS (Bonus Healer Build)

    Late to the thread and this may have been brought up. I'm lvling my mag templar now with a main focus on pvp.

    I've been torn and have different setups.

    1)2 swords
    2)sword/shield
    3)restro on both bars

    Hopefully I can and will be ready for most encounters. I run a similar setup and can't wait for TG to release. What are your thoughts on eclipse and it's morphs? I could use that mainly for mag sorcs, sword/shield and defensive stance would work as well.
    Just seeking some advice.

    I'm so glad that there can be an actual guide to magplar DPS these days. I feel like for so long, the guide was: stack magicka, stack crit%, spam Jabs as if it was the only key on your keyboard that worked, use Jesus Beam during execute phase.

    Unless I missed it, I didn't see anything about alternate gear. What crafted sets would you recommend if you don't have access to the monster sets?

    Nerieneth can be a good choice for AoE, but for ST its basically useless when playing a jabs-rota. All skills you are using are considered a DoT.
    If you play with force pulse or reflective light it can be worth switching to nerieneth, but with jabs...

    @Nifty2g thanks for the update, in regards to the section Staff vs Greatsword vs Dual Swords and Weapon Traits you still advice "For Weapon Traits you want to go with Nirnhoned instead of Precise (the exact calculations and evaluations of mob resistance are provided in the build sheets)" but your Mundus Stones and Trait Stones shows TL;DR – For PvE DPS: Sharpened > Precise > Nirnhoned.

    No, only skills which say something like "deals x damage and y damage over z seconds" have a direct damage and can procc nerieneth, for example reflective light. Jabs, wall of elements and radiant can't procc nerieneth (unstable wallshould be able to with the last hit).

    Because majority of Templar skills result in a loss of DPS to cast them luckily for us we get to use guard, just means we are using double toggles, which is fine for the most part
