Hey guys just letting you know, I will be updating this very shortly with my Thieves Guild findings, you're going to like
I think he is trolling since temps are nerfed. I can tell by that joker emoticon haha
Look at patch notes. They hardcore nerfed BoL and tried to buff other usless things by 1% extra. The man loves his templar. I was just trolling. But most likely everyone will roll sorcs now. Templars been nerfed so much they are rage quitting stam NB bout to die magika dk could shine but will probably be heavy attack stam.failkiwib16_ESO wrote: »

This doesn't effect templar-dps. magplar-DPS got buffed quite a bit. I'm really excited for Nifty's build and the changes
Wall of elements buff along with cp changes and dark flare buff is very niceLook at patch notes. They hardcore nerfed BoL and tried to buff other usless things by 1% extra. The man loves his templar. So anyway heres the rotation I'm thinking but again, I haven't completed the testing I'm just waiting to hear back from @Asayre on a bunch of things I needed
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJZPdJiiTmQ
The problem is, you can proc kena with using Dark Flare only, it doesn't work with a maelstrom staff which puts a lot of the rotations I had in mind down a lot.
I'm still not sure 100% sure if using the maelstrom instead of swords is better and using it to proc a different skill but even then none of it will line up with how you want it to and you wont get full use of molag kena if you proc it with lets say vampires bane. And the weave damage gain with maelstrom staff seems little as it cant compare to a buffed and empowered dark flare in molag kena proc.
(This video was done without any buffs and with no cp allocated which is why damage is low, it's just to show rotation and timing)
However, I am expecting a nerf to happen to Dark Flare soon - This is without a lot of raid buffs

Sorc rotation - inevitable det -> vilacious curse -> crushing shock/proc frag -> disintergrate
Temp rotation - inevitable det -> unstable core -> dark flare -> empowered aurora javelin -> radiant oppression

Temp rotation ST-Dark Flare from stealth -> dark flare -> empowered aurora javelin -> radiant oppression = dead. imo
Temp rotation Multi target - Dark Flare from stealth on healer > inevitable det -> unstable core -> dark flare -> empowered aurora javelin -> radiant oppression. Maybe throw a jabs in there somewhere idk.
Edit: Really gonna need to play with it, wish I was on PTS right now...
Was sort of a waste of time to cast vamp bane for a short fight like that, i'd only use it for very long fights anything over a minute

I think Templars right now are pulling the highest single target DPS when done right, but the downside is our AoE is lacking. I'm thinking of just using Fire Ring for AoE instead of shards
II. Champion SystemFor the 501 Cap the Champion System right now is very linear in what you should have your points in to for the The Mage and The Thief constellations, I will leave the Warrior constellation out of this as that is totally player preference and changes for a lot of content.
The Mage Constellation – 167 Champion Points
Thaumaturge: Seeing as the Templar tooltip is all Magic Damage you should put 100 points into this to increase your Magic Damage by 25% -The new proposed chnage in CP will be irrelevant to this. We need to put our points in Elemental expert which in addition to Elemental Damage, now will boost mag damage as well. And Thermaturge will be boosting DOT damage which in case of templar is not that wonder full so I'd rather put balance points in to elfborn as you suggested. However another advantage of this change will be that Burning light procs will be hitting 25% harde as they get the boost form this CP element.
Elfborn: Currently how Elfborn works the best split to be doing would be to put 66 points into this to get your highest increase.
Spell Erosion: Most of your Spell Penetration is coming from Light Armor and Dual Swords (Nirnhoned) so putting 1 point into this to increase it by 1% will give you more of an increase than putting 67 points into Elfborn.
The Thief Constellation – 167 Champion Points
Arcanist: There is currently no Diminishing Return value for Magicka Recovery, your best bet would be to max this out before maxing out your Reduced Spell Cost, so putting 100 points into this increasing recovery by 25% would be the best thing to.
Magician: Putting your remaining 67 Points in this would give you the most beneficial sustain for the current Champion Point Cap
III. Mundus Stones and Trait StonesThere are 5 Mundus Stones in which you should consider running, Apprentice, The Mage, The Shadow, The Thief and The Atronach the first 4 are your main Mundus Stones that will give you the biggest damage boost, you should use The Atronach when you are providing any healing for Dungeons or Trials. Out of the 4 main damaging Mundus Stones the strongest which will give you the biggest overall damage boost would be the Thief, however if you are deciding to use Twice Born Star you will need to use both The Thief and The Shadow.
In terms of what Trait you should be using on your gear, there are 2 choices to be doing the most damage; Divines and Infused, currently using 7 Divine Traits will give you the biggest damage boost when using The Thief or The Thief and Shadow. If you are using The Atronach I would suggest using 7 Infused as the extra Regeneration really isn’t worth it.
{ in my opinion if your crit is appx 55% and above then Magica templar skills are best used with as much max mag we can however this brings the problem of sustain in long fights. I run 3 spell damage on jewelery enchant with atronach to avoid mag sustain issue which is the case whenever i switch to thief/ shadow or apprentice. It might be interesting to know if loosing 1 enchant to reduced cost vs thief/ shadow/ apprentice would be better.
The Thief: Increases Critical Hit Chance by 11%, 16.775% with 7 Legendary Divine Traits.
The Mage: Increases Maximum Magicka by 1280, 1952 with 7 Legendary Divine Traits.
The Shadow: Increases your Critical Hit Damage by 12%, 18.3% with 7 Legendary Divine Traits.
The Apprentice: Increases Spell Damage by 166, 213 with 7 Legendary Divine Traits.
The Atronach: Increases Magicka Regeneration by 210, 320 with 7 Legendary Divine Traits.
Now as far as the gear goes, i dont think there is any further options left than what you have already posted. I'm really excited for the next patch and see how templars fair in DPS race as the other classes did got a boost as compared to templar.
