As I have said many times ESO feels like a singleplayer game with MMCo-Op. Its anti social. With its lack of Text Chat, terrible phasing and absence of a proper group finder etc.
You DO realize that most of players playing this game are Elder Scrolls single-player gamers, right? Not sure why so many people are stuck on the MMO = FORCED GROUP which is outdated mentality. Back in the day, the only players able to play an MMO were PC players and the limited titles forced them into one of the few titles available so those games could survive with the amount of players who wanted constant group content. Fast forward to today, and ALL nextgen consoles have WiFi access and most households have internet access... which means MILLIONS of single-player gamers now have access to online games and many of them are not looking for forced group content but are looking for a game that they can play solo but group if/when they want. Future MMOs would learn a lesson or two from ESO because the fact is, the number of players who want group content or PvP are an extreme minority among the gamers of today because of all consoles having online access. This is a major reason why Orsinium was so successful, because it was designed more for solo/casual players than the minority who want group/PvP content.
Oh, and as for Text Chat on console, I do believe they stated there are no plans to ever bring text chat to the console version. I think their explanation for not including it was shady, I think the real reason was because they were having problems implementing it into the console version, and after an already year-long delay in console development, they just went ahead with launch and decided to forego text chat and give some lame excuse why it wasn't included. I think for them to go back and add it would mean some serious recoding/redeveloment that they're just not willing to commit resources to doing. If it were easy, with the demand for it, I would expect them to have implemented it... but if it involves major redevelopment, then no. Same thing with bringing controller support to PC version... instead of developing actual controller support for PC, they took the easy way out and just gave PC version a ported XBOX One Controller UI.
The biggest issue was that zenimax lie, that this is an MMO, when clearly its a Singleplayer game with Co-Op.

No... I just think old-school MMO players need to realize that what MMO used to mean is not the same as it means today. MMO is defined as "Massively Multiplayer Online"... as in there are a massive amount of players playing the same game at the same time- not specifically all playing grouped as it used to imply. ESO IS a "multiplayer" game as it offers both grouping and PvP... but it is not exclusively group content. Because they expected the majority of players coming to ESO to be players of the previous single-player Elder Scrolls games, they needed to make it much more appealing to those predominantly solo players while also offering group and PvP content as well.
I just think ESO is ahead of the curve in realizing that single-player gamers also want to be able to game online, and their model is what I expect the direction that most future MMOs to go. Offering not only group content, but also allowing players to be able to level solo if they so choose.

They are more about egos than anything.
I've played on both platforms.
The difference in gameplay is zero.
Add-ons? Don't need and never used them. The game is more appealing to me w/o them.
Yes the console version has some features it needs, but it will progress as the PC version did.
And the console version just works.
No worrying about specs or drivers etc.
Of course my job requires me to be in front of a cpu screen all day.
I don't like being hunched over my computer when i get home.
I game from a huge leather chair.
And it is great.
I don't worry about specs or drivers?
It updates itself, just like my ps4/xbox
It'd plugged into my living room tv, right next to my ps4/xbox
I use a controller just like my ps4/xbox
I have a keyboard next to me for text chat , just like my....oh wait
I play the game at max graphics settings just like...oh
I can talk to all 500 people in my guild via text chat and discuss things via text chat easily just like...oh nope
Seems like you missed the ego part lol

Personally I mostly feel very happy I'm not playing on the same server as found1779...

@Alec508
I play on PC only because I loathe playing on a console, but I highly respect your opinion on all of that. It's a well thought out response, and not just a whine that console is second rate. I salute you sir!
Console version needs 4 things.
1. Using Character Names instead of Gamertags.
2. Text Chat.
3. Floating Combat Text.
4. Buff Timers
gimme those things, and we're all good. my experience playing on PS4 is incredibly enjoyable, beyond these 4 things.
First off this is silly.
1- Text chat should NOT come to consoles. THEY ARE CONSOLES . You are supposed to use voice chat like any other game on the consoles. Which EVERYONE uses. So if you don't like talking on a mic then you shouldn't own a console and expect text chat because it is very clunky like in final fantasy. Who wants text all over there screens ?
2- I used to play PC and literally bought an Xbox one to play ESO and love it 10 times better then the pc version.
3- The consoles (at least Xbox) are WAY MORE populated then PC is. When I logged in to the game on console I was very surprised .
4- The no add ons is a GOOD thing. You don't need to download 1000 add ons just to stay at even ground with people who have 1000.
5- Its more casual. The pvp is fun because not everyone is amazingly good with max cp (there are a good amount though)
6- the 30 fps doesn't bother me one bit considering this isn't a graphical game and on 60 fps on the PC I couldn't run it at max settings so I'd rather have a console version at max settings and 30 fps. Not that big of a deal. At all. I also don't have to adjust my settings and watch my fps every 30 minutes.
7 - Native controller support (You elites can thank us for that with your PORTED controller support that's laggy.
So if you have an expensive rig , then good for you. It must be an extra bonus to have a little better performance but don't make people think they are less superior because of it.
Moral of the story is I played both versions, PC and Xbox One NA and I love the console version much more. That's just my opinion. Doesn't make it factual . The only thing I'd argue is there is more people on consoles which is pretty obvious just by checking the campaigns and being in starter cities and seeing all the people running around
Edit: I'll probably get hated on for what I said but it doesn't matter because like I said its what I enjoy and no matter how sarcastic, or snobby half these PC players are . (I say half because I used to be one and know plenty of people that don't care) It must make them feel better about themselves. Meanwhile I'm running massive 24 people groups with 100v100 battles in cyrodil , with HILARIOUS people in the group chat. It feels 10x more social with voice chat. If you haven't gave it a chance I recommend trying it. I used to always leave area chat (still do) and group chat but when I stopped being an anti social butterfly I actually have met so many friends through group chat in cyrodil, delves, dungeons and dolmens then I ever met on PC. So once again the text chat is not needed. Only a very smal minority that QQ on the forums actually want it. You go IN GAME and no one suggests they want text chat. It's just in HERE

The Console game runs on low-medium settings. Not high. Large graphical difference imo
You don't need an expensive rig to play eso on pc, a 400 pound rig (same price as console) will run high settings at 60 fps.
Text chat has been requested by the majority, the issue with voice chat is no one uses it. I enter voice chat st the local enclave for daily pledges and no one is listening or in the channel. Therefor voice chat is uselsss since it can't help form a group in the first place.
Xbox and ps4 used to be more populated when it was new, many have moved on, I play on both platforms and pc is far busier, pvp has more activity and bars actually active, far more people at the enclaves doing vet pledges. Far more people competing in vma.
Even new areas are more populated on pc nowdays.
No addons isn't a good thing, it's a choice, you don't NEED them on pc, I know many good players that font on pc, they are a very good convenience item though. They are also the only way to test broken skills.
You don't hear people in game suggesting voice chat because you can't speak to anyone? Pretty obvious point that.
My experience with voice chat.
Go to undaunted enclave , enter area chat, out of 20 people there 1 is in voice chat. Keep repeating "vr16 healer lf gold pledge" for half an hour for no one to respond.
Someone joins voice chat and is eating loudly/baby crying in background or screaming my ears off.
No thanks

Id have to disagree. Everyone uses voice chat. I've ran into more people that use it then people who don't. You send someone a group invite and almost every time they have a mic. And also, my $500 computer couldn't run it at the high settings so unless you own a $400 rig that runs it at high settings 60 fps I don't think I believe that one. Also I don't go in area chat. I only talk in group chat. & im almost 100% sure the settings aren't low/med , the sub-sampling is atleast on high

It's missing lots of textures on console, they are far lower quality, view distance is greatly restriced, things like water/grass are all low rest etx.
400 pound ease, my 750 pound rig can run crysis 3 on a 4k screen at 55 fps.
Let alone eso at 100 at 60fps. People just don't know how to spend their money.
Quick breakdown
Z97 pc mate mobo 60 pound
Corsair vengence 16gb ram 40 pound
500 hdd 80 pound
Gtx 970 150 pound or even lower end cards can do it
Xfx psu or corsaie etc 40-50
Keyboard and mouse 20 quid
Could even run less ram and lower spec to get it even less.
Please tell me how I communicate with others in the area? I'm in 4x guilds of 500 members, no one is ever in voice chat, no one is in area chat.

I used to play with grass disabled. Some people don't care about the graphics as much as you. Like I said before , I don't use area chat or guild chat. For instance if I go pvping I'll invite a few people I see to the group and they always have a mic, or I'll be invited into a group with people who all have mics. It takes no more then 5 minutes for me to find a group in cyrodiil. If you want to join a group for a dungeon use the Lfg tool and you will always be paired with a group almost instantly who has mics. Do you even play on console ? Anytime I find someone to play with I always add them as a friend on XBL if they are cool and then when I need people for a group I send them a message. You have to actually try to socialize and make friends if you want to efficiently play with other people at a certain caliber. Or else you will get random people which is usually fine. But what's your point? All you are doing is pointing out the fact that a computer can run elder scrolls online better then a console. This is a known thing and you are a little late to the party. There are things other then the graphic specs that make people prefer console over PC, which is what you aren't able to grasp.
And also, my $500 computer couldn't run it at the high settings so unless you own a $400 rig that runs it at high settings 60 fps I don't think I believe that one.
