Do you feel second class if you are playing eso on console

I sometimes get the feeling we are treated unfairly to pc players it always seems to me they get everything better updates features etc I don't know why it feels this way but it does.I don't know if zenimax intends to treat us this way on purpose or its just cause they don't have as much freedom creating stuff for console users as they do for pc players console feels like a ghost town anymore with no text chat feature to use to communicate with On console. Does anyone else feel this way that we are treated second to pc cause I look at games like dcuo that are also available on console and pc and when they release something it's usually released on console and pc version at the same time not on separate weeks like zenimax does

Also, this is a PC game that was ported over to console. So, yeah, it's bound to be better on the PC.

Ever play a console game that ported to the PC? Talk about second class...

    <edit>
DCUO always had a console-y feel to it even when it released for the PC.

You would still think tho a company like zenimax should be able to handle updating console and pc/mac at the same time

I feel I can never play 100% on consoles because I'm always playing a guessing game.

Is my buff still up, are my DoTs still active, is the enemy at 25% health so I can maximize Impale etc.

No buff/debuff icons, no timers, no numbers, no nothing.
It's like driving a go kart, sure I can drive it but I'm no F1 driver.

Whatever ESO lacks ( which is a lot) PC players just make/DL an addon for it, problem solved.
Console players dont have that resource.

And yes, Text Chat. How is this not a DAY 1 feature!?

Hopefully it will be ready with the next DLC, those are some important details that should have been there on release day, both on console and PC without any addons.

Agreed I honestly don't understand why text chat is not a feature on console and it just makes it seem worse they won't even answer why it isn't and if they had it was a response from awhile ago that would not justify there reasons now why it isn't on console

No text chat on console is ridiculous.

DCUO is a last gen game on a ten year old game engine and supplies text chat.

In a game with lots of little aggravations no text chat is huge.

It's just dumb and the fact they won't out it in the plans and communicate it and tell us just dumb.

It is your fault you play on a console. There is only so much you could do on consoles. You're stuck using a controller with like 4 buttons on it. I haven't played on a console in like 15 years.

It's defiantly a pc port, even things like only being able to support 30 fps, really 30 fps in 2015? My pc supports over 130 fps if I want it too.

The whole thing is suited to pcs, half of the stuff left out of the gsme is added vis add ons, something that has always been am elder scrolls thing, can't be done on console.

Even games like akyrim, the console version played it in its most basic form, which was average at best, but addons and mods make the game 100x better, even with new titles like fallout 4, so so many things are unfinished or left with a basic level, but addons and mods can and will make the game a shed load better.

    My biggest issue?

Console version is 6 months old, pc version is nearly 2 years old, yet console is now far quieter imo.

Logged on pc eu Azura's peak time, multiple campaigns full and every single town has a huge population, places like undaunted enclave are packed beyond belief.

Log on ps4 at the exact same time, one campaign full, rest empty, undaunted enclave has about 8 people there.

Hes complaining about something that should of been in game day 1.
Who makes an MMO without Text Chat? Even Warcraft 3 has Text Chat when playing games like DotA and W3 isnt an MMO.

What we ask isnt unreasonable or impossible, its a basic feature of any social game.
2 DLCs APPROVED by Sony and MS, still no Text Chat.

How complex can implementing Text Chat be?

I regret buying ESO on console. REGRET!
I was hoping it would be fixed by oct/nov, thinking they learned their mistakes from PC.

My friend kept pushing to get it, I held off after reading all the info and feedback. Problem is my friend has no MMO experience so he was loving it. I'm a 10 year WoW player also played guild wars, rift, conan, final fantasy etc and a bunch of those free MMOs. So I know what I'm talking about.
Finally I gave in and thought screw it, its elder scroll, it cant be that bad ... I was wrong, so wrong.

As I have said many times ESO feels like a singleplayer game with MMCo-Op. Its anti social. With its lack of Text Chat, terrible phasing and absence of a proper group finder etc.

I can no longer get a refund for the game, I thought "maybe I just need t player more, it'll get better" when I came to the conclusion I didn't like ESO it was too late. So stuck with the game I might as well get my monies worth and keep play maybe even Platinum the game. Maybe, just maybe ESO will evolve into something better.

The PC game was so riddled with bugs and problems it literally was declared a failure to launch. Especially with broken quests that prevented progression in the zone.

On top of the price and the subbed fee it was doomed. Marred by greed and ineptitude the PC officially became the actual testing ground for fixing the bugs.

This would of been different if the game launched B2P with functioning crown store instead of trying to use WoW's decrepit and outdated sub method they got from lack of competition and sustained from the time others invested in there MMO with ZoS misguided belief new customers will flock to their game because it was newer despite previous MMO's failing the same way.

The game was obviously going to be launch pad for console, the controls were a dead giveaway along with the PC settings.

But since ZoS realized that shipping this on 2 different platforms would ruin the games reputation and sink it while taxing their staff to focus on 3 platform designs they decided to place all there eggs in the PC platform.

We were literally paying subs for a year for a broken mess of game with some gameplay design leaders not listening to community in beta.

So they had to set up the forum to be PC orientated since that was the only way to actually get damn feedback to fix this mess they got from sheer arrogance, lack of forthright and outright greed.

Because of this your sadly in the mix and I doubt they are going to segregate the forums for platforms because of the lack of population on each.

It's sad to say this, but games succeed or fail AT LAUNCH, even ones that get improved over time like MMO's with added content and what your charging the customer also matter to that games success.

If the game is considered fantastic with no bugs and charged a price that is considered a bargain at launch you would reap in billions on top of fame because everyone on that platform would want to try it out.

Gouge customers with a broken game even if it does seem revolutionary and fantastic at launch and people will remember to avoid it.

No one will buy something if people say they bought it and found out it was broken.

I hope really hope ZoS learned from this.

TL;DR: Lack of active players on top of a bad reputation and failed launch with a now transformed beta forum that required a damn invitation first to post on top of PC players required to pay subbed for 11 months so they could get it working.

Horses for courses, those are the exact reasons (mostly) I prefer console to PC :)

I honestly don't wanna be sitting staring at numbers, and due to those add-ons you just mentioned, it's pretty much essential on PC, on PS4 I have a 'pure' experience,.

As far as text chat, I miss it sometimes, mostly not, and can remember when PS4 beta came out I spoke to more people (as in voice) in one weekend than I did in six months of playing on PC.

I'm happier on console, you I guess would be much happier on PC, but I assume you can't play on that system for whatever reason, budget, convenience etc.

If the floaty numbers I see in some peoples pvp videos were on consoles I probably wouldn't have bought it tbh

Well just like WoW you have the option to turn them off for the pure ES experience. But when you make an MMO and put competitive content "pure" bare bones doesn't cut it. How can I be effective if I'm guessing instead of having factual info?

ESO should of been singleplayer, not an MMO.
ESO isnt singleplayer, so I dont know why they treated it as such.

We are out of beta and voice chat is bad. If its not kids screaming, its a baby crying or someone playing loud music or funny kids who think they are thugs and act "gangsta". I'll take Text Chat any day. Voice chat works great in small group such as dungeon parties or questing with a few friends.

What if I want to ask guild members who wants to PvP or run vet dungeons, I cant. I have send each person a PM. Its terrible and time consuming.

    These PC/Console arguments.
They are more about egos than anything.
    I've played on both platforms.
The difference in gameplay is zero.
Add-ons? Don't need and never used them. The game is more appealing to me w/o them.
Yes the console version has some features it needs, but it will progress as the PC version did.
And the console version just works.

It is not ZOS's fault that patches have to go through certification. That's Microsoft and Sony. I agree that it's frustrating, but they can't push weekly patches to console and instead have to cram multiple patches in one update for console. This is one of many reasons I prefer PC.
