    Well, I'm going to make use of my materials as I normally would. Hopefully, I'll get my missing stuff back, if not...not much I can do about it. Won't cause me to stop playing my favorite MMO!

    Thanks for the update.

    Hey guys, thanks for your continued patience. We’re still working on addressing this issue, but in the meantime, we can confirm that this is not a visual UI error and the quantities of your guild bank items are accurate (though incorrect from what they were prior to the update). You are, however, free to use these items as you normally would. Unfortunately, the earliest we’ll be able to roll out a fix is the next incremental patch, which is scheduled for Monday, as any fix we implement will require downtime. We’re doing everything we can to remedy this issue and return the missing items to you, and will keep you updated as we continue to investigate potential solutions.

    Thank you very much for the update Gina!

    This was related to the fact, it'll take at least a week to fix it. Sorry, should have been more accurate.

    Luckily the stacks I have in my guild bank are of lower cost mats and the like so, if a less than equitable solution comes to pass, I won't be terribly upset. I cannot imagine the uproar that will happen if exact amounts are not returned.

    Based on the 383 "magic" number, I'd guess a dev used a signed byte field in an incorrect place, or some such error.

    200 = 1100 1000 in binary
    183 = 1011 0111

    159 = 1001 1111
    224 = 1110 0000

    The left most bit stays 1, but all the rest flip. And I'd guess stacks of 127 (0111 1111) or less remained unaffected.

    Just developer ramblings,

    This isn't aimed at you, but I just don't get the attitude of forgiveness with this MMO and ZOS.

    I personally PAY the ESO plus sub every month to support ZOS. I expect service and quality equal to other MMOs I have played and subscribed to. There is a level of quality and customer care that is expected for a paying customer of a MMO. It's a industry standard in MMOs. I've played these MMOs, there are developers and publishers who care about what they release. When CEOs of MMOs post on the community forums when there is a huge problem and tell you how they are going to make it right, that's service, that's caring about the community. I've played those MMOs and they get it.

    This is where ZOS can do a better job and show some pride in what they release. How can you say 'stuff happens' when the pattern of real bad bugs continue to get released with each DLC or major patch? How are those loading screens getting fixed? Hear anything in that yet?

    Then we get these poor forum mods that have to be the +4 Shield of Defending between the community and the developers, who barely respond to anything for reasons unknown.

    If I was a forum mod at ZOS, I'd get up and go tell leadership to get off their ass and post something on the forum to show ZOS' gives a ***. Yea, I may word it slightly different to keep my job, but then again....I may not.

    No clue how the fanboiz say "awwww it's ok we understand technical incompetence and are fondly OK with it"

    From my albeit limited knowledge, it was an identified issue on PC Test server yet somehow made it into release. From the consumer perspective that should be unacceptable from any service provider, retailer or commercial vendor selling a good or product.

    What makes it even more unacceptable is the fact that there is a growing track record of the exact same partner and practice. IC release had major gameplay and functionality issues that dogged it for nearly a month before anything was done. Rinse and repeat.

    At least we don't have to wonder why a large portion of the content is a virtual ghost town .... Lack of responsiveness and accountability , especially in console context, drives players away since it is just as easy to swap out and play forza, NW, COD, D3, or any other game within seconds and not have to deal with the apparent lack of ability to deliver a functional product.

    And this attitude of some people enforces that kind of service. As long as there will be uhm ... gullible people throwing money on faulty product the devs wont have any impulse to deliver better service. Luckly it seems when it comes to ESO patience of many is at end.

    I did an ingame /bug report for this.
    I, too, logged on the first day of Orsinium and had nothing but 183s in my bank

    This is a highly inconvenient bug, especially for those who had their stacks of V15/16 mats in there and were waiting for the DLC to use them on the new crafting sets. Now they have to go grind out 100 or more mats.

    Well, if the people who play on consoles were smart, once they learned that this bug went live on PC, and knew that it was likely going to hit them too, they should have shuffled all their expensive items into their guild banks in stacks of 128 before the update, so they could get transformed into stacks of 255.

    I play on PC, but that's sure as heck what I would have done if I had thought for a second this bug was going to get pushed live. Virtually doubling all my crafting mats? Yes, please! :)

    It is nice to know they recognize the issue and are working on it; but reimbursement is not a commitment. Nor is a timeline. "Everything we can" does not mean we will be reimbursed. It means they will TRY. "The soonest is Monday", isn't a timeline. It means no sooner than Monday. So it is entirely possible we will not be reimbursed and the fix will happen later than Monday.

    Is their response unacceptable in my opinion? No. Is it great? No. Could it end up being acceptable? Yes. Is anything acceptable now? Yes, Gina's doing a great job as middleman/spokesperson. Is anything unacceptable? Yes, the existence of this bug in the release version.

    So how about giving us our crafting bags for being ESO plus members already so these people can stop exploiting the guild bank feature to store their extra crafting mats?

    Depends who you're talking about. Sure, it's a bit of an exploit for individuals to have their own personal Guild Banks and it's ridiculous that people need to do that because of personal Bank or inventory space being so limited. But I belong to two Guilds who share crafting materials via their Guild Bank. One of them is a Guild of friends with strictly limited invites, but I assure you we are all separate, real people. The other is a Guild of 250 members, of whom around 25 have the right to withdraw items themselves, the rest needing to ask an Officer or senior member to withdraw for them.

    If the Guild Bank isn't for storing extra items to be shared among the Guild's members, what is it for?

    I just thank god that we only use our guild bank for gear-sharing and extra recipes, motifs, and prepared foods/potions. We didn't have any crafting mats in there at all.

    In fact, the only thing in our bank that was in a stack over 100 were the five stacks of 200 lockpicks that got tossed in there. But yes, these are all stacks of 183 now.

    "ZOS, YOU OWE ME 85 LOCKPICKS!"

    But seriously, I really feel for all those that lost far more than we did. I can't imagine how ticked off I'd be.

    I really hope you all get your stuff back.

    Our bank just suffered an even bigger loss since I was dumb enough to believe it was ok to go ahead and use them again. While stacking some items I suffered a roll back and while the guild bank recorded the items being taken out my characters inventory didn't :( . So we lost an additional 7k+ items on top of the 7k+ we already lost. Good news is now we have bank space lol. I made a bug report and so far have only been given the advice that they are probably in my junk tab.......smh......

    EDIT: Apparently this is my 100th comment......yay for me..... :neutral:
