If the a game needs Add-ons there is somthing wrong with the core of the game to begin with. i would like to see how mutch damage i do and don't get me started over text chat what should be a must in any MMO. but i do prefer the xboxone over PC just cause it plays beter with a controler for me

Setting text chat aside (I understand the problem with that) it's not very hard to get a pretty good estimate of your damage already on console. Is it exact? No, but it really doesn't have to be. I'll use the most complicated spell I have, Radiant Oppression, for an example. Also, I'm doing this off of memory so I'll use round numbers.

My RO does about 11K base damage over 3 seconds. By itself my DPS for this would be 11k/3 or 3,667 DPS.

    If I'm at full magic I get a 20% bonus. (11,000 * 1.2)/3 = 4400 DPS

If the bonus is applied and I get the 330% low health increase my DPS is ((11,000 * 1.2) * 3.3)/3 = 14520 DPS

As long as you realize that any spell hitting for 20K will 2 shot most opponents does it really matter knowing exactly how hard it hit?

At the end of the day, my keyboard and mouse are finely tuned to be more responsive based on my own reflexes. A controller doesn't have the same fast response times. I always feel like I'm moving in slow motion on the console.

But you don't know what your skills are hitting for, we don't know the armor rating of enemies and mitigation, we can't test penetration and crit ratings and stuff like that, it's all a big guessing game...

Yep.. We get a bar that shows us.. Not numbers. Just whack the dremora until it's health bar is empty! Just quest and grind until your XP bar is full!

To be honest for competitive games I prefer the console. Everyone is on even ground. Pc on the other hand, It is whoever has the better rig and add on setup that wins. ESO fits this category for me.

I stopped playing PC games many moons ago. I got tired of the idiotic spec chasing anytime a new game came out. While that has subsided over time, I just don't have a setup to play PC games.

Though, I will say as a console player I am envious of the mods, but thankfully, this may be something we'll get in the future. Rumor has it we'll be getting mods for Fallout 4. Just rumors, though.

As long as Microsoft keeps pushing Windows as a service, there really won't be much difference between PC gaming and console gaming in the near future.

*PC players have a severe superiority complex.
*Console players are smarter and have longer arms.

Real summary. If you enjoy playing games on the consoles then you won't be disappointed with it. If you enjoy playing on PC you will likely enjoy the game on PC. Either way you won't be disappointed with the game; it plays well on consoles as well as the PC. I prefer my console because that is what I am accustomed to and I don't like to play games on PC.

It does not play as well on console as it does on PC. I've played both

I think some people forget too that addon add features that would be a part most of MMORPGS by default. Damage Numbers, Effects Trackers, Enemy HP % visible, etc. The game has DPS checks in boss mechanics, phase changes based on health left, multiple effects to manage, and execute that interact with remaining health, and so on. It has one half and not the other.

    PC.

    Please don't bother with Console.

If you're just a casual player, Console is fine, but if you're going to be competitive in the end, want the best gear, min/max, all that crap — pick PC.

Lol okay buddy, there's plenty of casuals on both, and your hardcore PC players are too dependant on your add-ons to be quite honest. I do like the combat text but that's coming to console anyways.

Combat addons don't play for you, that's a common misconception. Most of the features would be standard and default in any other MMORPG. The pop ups for 'Potion Ready', 'Ultimate Ready', and 'Execute Now' would be the typically type of addons, along with parsers. However even those are starting to surface as default features. Everything else such as effect timers, damage numbers, enemy health %, visible resource numbers are not hidden from players in most other games.

The truth is not that PC players are dependant on addons, but rather ZOS left half the info invisible while having the functions of multiple effects to manage, bosses with DPS check mechanics, and skills that react to health values still in game.

I have literally heard a PC player say he doesn't know if the boss is in execute range because he didn't have his add-on on. That's pretty dependant to me

'To Know' is a certainty. Players guess on console.

If I gave you a standard sheet of notebook paper and a pair a scissors. Then asked you to cut it in squares measuring exactly 1 US inch (2.54cm) without the use a of a ruler. Chances are you could come close, knowing roughly what an inch is, but not presicely so.

That is the difference. Seeing a bosses HP percentage is the ruler. A player can guess and get close but not executing right when the boss is in range is a DPS loss. That matters when the game has mechanics that are DPS checks.

And it's that ability to pay attention that will make you a better player. I've never heard of someone becoming more intelligent by thinking less.

You're confused on what I'm actually asking for. I want two things added for executes.

1: a percentage to enemy health bars.

2: a tooltip update to clearly express percentages for each execute.

I don't want players on console to not have to pay less attention, or to have addons to play for them. I want them to have clear infomation to work with, and not be resigned to guesswork.

Ps4, personal preference. I dont miss anything that the PC has to be honest, plus the community is smaller, get a veteran character and the community shrinks even more, its a win for me.

I'm playing on PC only, I don't have a console. Even if I had one, I would stick to the PC. Reason: addons.

PC is better for a ton of reasons addons, by the time we get cool stuff on console it's usually nerfed into uselessness, The player base seems more knowledgeable about the game most console players don't even attempt to learn the game past the very basics and most fail at that the community is just better on PC.
Xbox One - NA GT: RebornV3x
I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.
