- PC graphics are customizable and no, it doesn't take hours lol
- Addons that make up for the hugely lacking UI and QOL in the game
- PTS access
- Ability to choose kb/m or controller
- Text chat which allows Zone communication for grouping, selling/trading and quickly answered questions
- Voice chat as well via Teamspeak or other programs for fast group or raid communication.
- No obnoxious RL garbage (music, screaming kids, screaming parents, barking dogs, someone's TV)
- Better graphics with the option to enhance them even more by using SweetFX if you choose
- Established community that is knowledgeable and can Test things (with those add ons) so less rumor, myth and misinformation
- Flexibility in how and where you play (we can play from the recliner, too
)
- We actually get to see our character names
Average Joe Summary
Much more flexibility, ease of communication, choices, smoother gameplay and quality of life in-game.
the advantages PC has is addons, text chat(arguably, the Console's voice chat is outstanding for a MMO) and that updates come sooner.
graphics, sure whatever. all I know is that ESO looks fantastic on my PS4. just awesome.
I'm a PC player only and i agree, nice summary and non-biased points made. It's something i tell people myself, despite the fact i don't like console gaming, i understand why people like them and have no problems with it.

An unfortunate but true reality as consoles are only the bare bones version made to tailor to casual players. The problem comes in when you get old school daily players that went from PC to console and expect a PC experience and get much less than what they expect.
The hardware in modern consoles nowadays is similar to that of a PC so there is little reason for this kind of discrepancy. There has only been one console game to date that I've played that can hold a candle to the PC version and that is ffxiv. Square enix did an amazing job making sure all platforms were on equal footing

This is such an oily faced comment.
I agree. Never spent "hours" getting things adjusted. It was and is just plug and play in my experience.
See I enjoy eso on my ps4, I didn't have a pc for the last few years and just recently got one.
Honestly? I would freaking love to play on pc, but there's no way in hell I'm giving up my 4 vet characters and 3 bwb chars plus nearly 5 months of hard work, gold earning, research etc to start again.
If they open up transfers to pc I'll be going, until then I'm stuck.

That means nothing.
It could be that you're very good in setting up games on a PC.
It could be that you have a very slow computer and just have to set everything at minimum.
It could be that you have a very fast computer and just have to set everything at maximum.
It could be that you just were lucky.
And it's very likely you're not playing in the best configuration as possible. At least your 'plug 'nd play on PC' is telling a lot.
But what's certainly true: not all the people are like you.

Exactly how I feel. Stuck.
No way I'm starting over although I've given it serious consideration. I can tell you this though, I will never again play an MMO on console due to the fact that devs consider them inferior enough to not implement standard features.
