    • Ability to choose kb/m or controller
    • Text chat which allows Zone communication for grouping, selling/trading and quickly answered questions
    • Voice chat as well via Teamspeak or other programs for fast group or raid communication.
    • No obnoxious RL garbage (music, screaming kids, screaming parents, barking dogs, someone's TV)
    • Better graphics with the option to enhance them even more by using SweetFX if you choose
    • Established community that is knowledgeable and can Test things (with those add ons) so less rumor, myth and misinformation
    • Flexibility in how and where you play (we can play from the recliner, too :) )
    • We actually get to see our character names

    Average Joe Summary

Much more flexibility, ease of communication, choices, smoother gameplay and quality of life in-game.

I agree. Never spent "hours" getting things adjusted. It was and is just plug and play in my experience.

And as this is not fps, the difference between kbm and controller is far less noticeable. I'd actually say it's negligible for anything other than the improvements to interraction coming with the next update.

This is my first MMO I have ever played on a console and for the most part I like it. If you are a traditionalist that likes text chat and mods then you will want to play on a PC, however if you can live without those things and you would rather just chill on the couch and play on a big screen tv then by all means get the console version.

    pc has text chat...
that's why the community on consoles is lacking
so if you would start over and don't mind playing with keyboard and mouse (which i do) i would choose pc

I've been playing ESO on pc since beta and early on paid for the character transfer.

I was actually looking forward to playing on PS4 when it became available. My characters were transferred and I dove into Tamriel.

Eeeek! Where did my beloved addons go? WTF? No text chat?

After an hour of playing on PS4 I returned to the world of PC. Even my kids won't touch it on console. Just my two cents.

the advantages PC has is addons, text chat(arguably, the Console's voice chat is outstanding for a MMO) and that updates come sooner.

graphics, sure whatever. all I know is that ESO looks fantastic on my PS4. just awesome.

For me, Console rulez. For practical and personal reasons as well.
I'm a married man and I want to keep it that way.

Now, I could start playing on my PC with as a result later my wife would start moaning that I should really come to bed.
She would be stressed and get annoyed after some time. Like most wives would do.

But...haha...if you put your Console in the bedroom with a beamer, you can play all night long, if you want to. Without the moaning. lol

Up to level 50 there's a healthy community across the board but on Xbox once you get into Cadwell's Silver zones the number of players drops down to almost nothing. I play for hours without seeing other characters. I haven't played VR zones on PC so I don't know if the same issue is there (highest lvl on PC is 45).

I definitely like the ability to type in chat on the PC over the Xbox voice chat but that's a matter of personal preference.

It doesn't matter what game it is.. the PC version will always outshine console. An unfortunate but true reality as consoles are only the bare bones version made to tailor to casual players. The problem comes in when you get old school daily players that went from PC to console and expect a PC experience and get much less than what they expect.

The hardware in modern consoles nowadays is similar to that of a PC so there is little reason for this kind of discrepancy. There has only been one console game to date that I've played that can hold a candle to the PC version and that is ffxiv. Square enix did an amazing job making sure all platforms were on equal footing

Preach it, brother! Squenix really went back to the drawing board and relaunched FFXIV into a MMO that's hard to beat. Personally, its the only MMO out now that shows that a sub-based MMO can work.

See I enjoy eso on my ps4, I didn't have a pc for the last few years and just recently got one.

Honestly? I would freaking love to play on pc, but there's no way in hell I'm giving up my 4 vet characters and 3 bwb chars plus nearly 5 months of hard work, gold earning, research etc to start again.

If they open up transfers to pc I'll be going, until then I'm stuck.

    That means nothing.

It could be that you're very good in setting up games on a PC.

It could be that you have a very slow computer and just have to set everything at minimum.
It could be that you have a very fast computer and just have to set everything at maximum.

It could be that you just were lucky.

And it's very likely you're not playing in the best configuration as possible. At least your 'plug 'nd play on PC' is telling a lot. :)

But what's certainly true: not all the people are like you.

No way I'm starting over although I've given it serious consideration. I can tell you this though, I will never again play an MMO on console due to the fact that devs consider them inferior enough to not implement standard features.

Oh, certainly, it is just my experience. I never said it was for everyone. I build my own systems. And currently my system runs everything on ultra. It also automatically adjusts my settings to the capabilities of my system, and that goes for some of my less powerfull machines as well. They dont run it on ultra settings, but the systems do change the settings to match the capabilities. So it very much is plug and play.

And even then, hours is a blatant overexageration. Unless you truly do not know what you are doing, the most it takes to open a menu and adjust a few settings is a couple of minutes. If is that hard, there are easy to access guides for that kind of thing.

I wouldn't say I feel inferior, unfortunately mmo's I find work best on PC , console release has been a great thing for eso, since millions of pounds worth of sales is what's ultimately going to keep the gsme going for years to come, but I without a doubt favour pc mmo style, let alone things like addons, text chat and more essential information in combat, it just seems right.

I personally prefer PS4 because it has no add ons. Many disagree with me but I feel add on cheapen the game. Played WoW for over 10 years and I can tell you that Add ons have ruined the community and gameplay of that game. First it started out with a few to help manage bank space and fix the UI. Now everyone is so dependent on them that you can not play the game without them. I mean they have add ons to tell you when to get out of AoE to when the boss is doing major attacks. And don't get me started about the Meter Maids running around. It started out as a good thing and now it is a disease infecting the game to its core to the point where Normal WoW Players can NOT do any Major content without add ons. And ESO on the PC is heading down that same path. Having a Add on free game if a breath of fresh air for me.

I know PC master race blah blah. Look I prefer the PC majority of the time to. But there is no reason to crap on those who like console either. I mean ESO was dying until console brought it back from the brink. To each their own. Hence why PC is there for those who like add ons and Console is there for those who like playing without.

*PC players have a severe superiority complex.
*Console players are smarter and have longer arms.

Real summary. If you enjoy playing games on the consoles then you won't be disappointed with it. If you enjoy playing on PC you will likely enjoy the game on PC. Either way you won't be disappointed with the game; it plays well on consoles as well as the PC. I prefer my console because that is what I am accustomed to and I don't like to play games on PC.
