PC is better just because addons.
PC because of addons. Which addons?
- Khajiit Speak (Character says "This one" instead of "I")
- Advanced Filters (Armor is separated in categories like helmet, cuirass, etc.)
- Immersive Mount Riding (1st person Horse!! WOO HOO!!)
- Harven's Quest Journal (Journal looks like a journal... oh and it keeps track of completed quests)
- No Interface Pins (pins on the compass but not floating over heads in the air)
I honestly couldn't play ESO without them... well I could play without Khajiit Speek, but I wouldn't play Khajiit.

Hey you really wanne play without crafting addons like CookeryWiz, CraftingStation or AIResearchgrid, or Wykkyd Toolbar or buffs displayed, or Destinations or Skyhards or Lorebooks ?
- I don't want to downgrade my grafics.
I play this game in ultra+ on 3xxx × 2xxx resolution by Nvidia downsampling while running an i7 4790K and 2× Geforce Titan X. This is one of the very rare MMOs which deliver pretty decent visuals and I should downgrade that ?

Addons seem to be a big part of why everyone loves eso on pc. Plus better options to communicate with others like text chat for example. Thanks for your insight

While the PC version is having some nice advantages, I would not play it, but that's my own personal taste.
Some difference to be aware:
* Console, that's plug and play. With the PC version you have to do your research and 'trial and error' to fine tune the game to your specific machine. It can take hours. It's what you like of course.
* On the PC you can use add-ons. Some of these add-ons are really nice, but most are pure crap. You have to do again some research. You could opt not to use the add-ons (like some players do), but then you have a competitive downside. It's certainly true that many people use different add-ons which makes the playfield not equal.
* PC players using a gamepad have a serious disadvantage versus keyboard/mouse users. On the console we all fight with the same weapons.
* It's a matter of taste as well. Some people prefer the mouse/keyboard combo way above the gamepad. In that case you have no other option as playing PC.
* On the PC you have TextChat, on the Console it's replaced by VoiceChat. Some love/hate TextChat, others love/hate VoiceChat.
* The Console updates of the game are way behind the PC updates.
* Graphics on PC could be better. Could, because determined by your hardware.
* Community on PC is older and at such in general better settled. The PC version is reaching its adult state, while the console version is more like a fresh teenager.
Executive Summary:
While the PC version has clearly some advantages in terms of power, flexibility and functionality, the console version is more user-friendly and more balanced.
It's up to you what you prefer the most.
