Where are the Holiday Events? Do you desire to see them in ESO?

There are many lore friendly holidays that could be put into the game and have events timed around them. Most MMOs have them and most players enjoy them, so why do we not have them in ESO?

They just better be lore-friendly... Similar to Bad Man's Hollows. I hated WoW holiday events so so so much.... Everytime I saw that stupid dwarf dressed up as santa it made me want to gut punch a gnome.

I was torn on how to answer this. I do like holiday events generally. They promote community and all that MMO goodness. However, if I ever see a Santa Claus hat in ESO, that's it. I'm done.

There are a lot of lore friendly holidays that could be implemented in the future. I'm just not convinced that ZoS would ever put the time in if they couldn't charge for it...

I'm all for holidays that fit with the lore as I think the holidays in Tamriel are really interesting and cool. I don't want to see Earthling holidays invade Tamriel.

i wanna see Elderscrolls themed ones rather then playing off of our real ones. give us a direhollow rather than halloween as a way for the "darker" sinister types to revel in a period of moon phase that has a full moon for a full 2 weeks of eso time with new spawns across the lands like the undead and necromancers using the time to harvest souls to foul some deathly creature.

give us suns grace rather than summer which causes drought in some lands and causes more fire beings to thrive while also creating more of a "bustling" feeling in colder towns.

give us nordic winter which causes a large cold spree across many plains especialy in the north and that special little khajiit can wear his colovian hat just like in morrowind, tho highly doubt it due to the fact he aint born yet. nothing santa like but him.

basically follow the year of tamriel rather than earth. let the games year have its own events that work throughout our real year, meaning multiple times a year. this would open up great opertunities to cause more players to play throughout the year.
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

Yeah I definitely want to see lore oriented holiday events! I for one have loved these types of events in other MMOs and even if I hadn't played the MMO for a while I would always log in to do the events. One of my favorites were Final Fantasy's events (11 and 14). They were based off the lore more than say WoW's and was a blast to do.

I am not suggesting real life holidays, but lore friendly holidays (you know, the ones based on in game lore).

Yes definitely but make it fit with Elder Scrolls. Perhaps smaller "invasions" from other daedric princes with smaller temporary dungeons/events with unique event loot.

    Halloween: Vaermina?

    Christmas: Mehrunes Dagon?

    Valentine's Day: Sanguine?

    April First: Sheogorath obviously.

    Midsummer: Hermaeus Mora?

    Etc

Something like that. Cut out the silliness and stuff that other games usually have in their seasonal events. Make it darker, make it fitting for Elder Scrolls.

Please do holiday events. I played several games where they had those events. It is fun to do and probably lure some new members/players aswell.

Perhaps a small storyline or quest. " Find the destruction elk of santa" ;)

I voted yes, but part of me is on the fence. I think it's fun to do but it can ruin immersion since Tamriel doesn't have the same holidays as us.

I think we'd just be seeing a remarkable convergence between the lore and real holiday parafernalia.

I dont like events, played lots of games where there was an event for everything. Those always screwed up my game why i liked playing the game.
No more pvp during, no more raiding during, either way, because of events finding group for the things you want to do gets near impossible to accomplish, so please leave it out.

Also christmas eso? How is that gonna work, religion in Nirn has nothing to do with jebus.
Hallloween? Well its halloween all year long, zombies, skeletons, spirits, witches and all sorts of boogeymen all over the place.
