I'm ok with that. If someone wants to celebrate the Witch's Festival, the Crown store has that covered. Sounds like a win/win to me.

I want to celebrate the Witches Festival... on Frostfall the 13th. Too bad the items won't be released until Frostfall the 22nd.

Coming from LOTRO, they have seasonal festivals that are somewhat close to each other every year. I'm not an expert into Tolkien's mythos, so I'm not 100% sure if they're based on what was mentioned in Tolkien's books or if Turbine pulled them out of their...posterior (My guess is the latter).
So. yeah. Not surprised if its not accurate here. Baby steps, I suppose.

It's also a slap in the face to those who care about Lore. The Pumpkin is obviously Halloweeny. The Scarecrow I understand... I mean, some of them are already spooky, but a pumpkin? That's just stupid.

Having only Crown Store costumes to celebrate a holiday is not much of a "win/win". For many that love the feel of the holiday events in their favorite MMOs it is more of a slap in the face.
Yeah, who am I kidding, I know nothing of Elder Scrolls Lore... /S
It's important to be able to tell game play apart from lore. 100+ Skeletons is obviously a game play feature, just like 100+ Nightmare Coursers/Frost Mare/ Soul-Shriven Horse. It's nothing more than an over-representation of what's supposed to be, just like the the terrain and the number of NPCs are an under-representation. While Windhelm contains around X NPCs in ESO, that doesn't mean that Windhelm's population is around Xin lore. It's the same principle, even though we see 100 people running around with the same stuff, that doesn't mean that there are 100 people running around with the same stuff.Anything else?Kireth Vanos says, “Common so-called ‘Dwarven Ore’ is, in fact, given that name because of its resemblance to the metal forged by the long-lost Dwemer. As a metallurgist I can tell you that while Dwarven Ore is a tough substance indeed, it’s not nearly as durable as actual metal harvested from actual Dwemer devices. That’s why forging in the Dwemer style requires actual Dwemer metal as material.”
I would like to see holiday events on the condition that they are lore friendly.
But if they were added and turned out to not be lore friendly, then I'd rather not have them.
While I don't care personally... I'd like them to ADD to the lore of Tameriel with something that *feels* Elderscrollsy. Halloween events, christmas events, easter, thanks giving (or around here with my fellow natives known as don't trust *** day) just seems tacky and unimaginitive. And is frankly a lill immersion breaking.

I understand your point, but there is much about MMOs that are immersion breaking...

It's all about perspective. From my perspective I am the only "hero" you are just another adventurer. From your perspective, you are the "hero" I am just another adventurer.
- Thousands of "heroes" running around doing the same "hero" quests as you.
This is more a design of Elder Scrolls and RPGs in general... so... no issue there.
- Every time you open inventory, going into another screen that makes your character spin.
more of an irritating necessity. It surely would have been preferable for ESO to have been one large area without loading screens but I think that's more a comment on the capability of the programmers and designers than it is on the immersion of the game. What breaks my immersion more than loading screens is the weird zoning logic ESO has.
- Every single load screen window
I think immersion is an integral part of the experience. Without it, my interest weans. In fact, I have little interest in items that do little to support immersion. ZOS can release all the little trinkets they want but if they don't "fit" into Tamriel in an immersive way, they will never be purchased by me.It is an MMO and immersion is only a very small part of the experience.
