This debate is dead from the start. The class counter potion ONLY counters ONE class. (Non debatable Imbalance) That is essentially going to create a divide in the community. The classes that benefit from from an "I win" button are not going to be against it.
Either 1 of 2 things need to happen.
Option 1: class counter potion (detect) only detects hidden players and NOT NB while cloaked. (Effects all crouching classes. No effect on abilities)
Or
Option 2: class counter potions are created for all classes.
Anti Sorc - shield ignore
Anti temp - heal Prevention
Anti dk - ignore defense
Anti NB - detect
Anti everyone - negate class abilities < (just examples. Not a requests)
Only then will everyone hate and agree anti class potions are awful in every conceivable way. Until then, NBs, don't expect support from other classes.

Totally agree with you here, that is balance right there...and for those who don't want to use a potion, there is RML (Radiant Mage Light), Flares and AOE attacks.
I use RML in Imperial City, Why? so I don't get one shotted when at mid to low health from behind when I am visible to enemy Gankers (and to hunt enemy stealthed players down).
RML has saved this one's furry tail plenty of times

What defense exactly? Terrain? Because that's pretty much the only DK defense left. But sure, let's add noclip to Cloak too, it's already so ridiculously overpowered so why not. Dragon Blood? Funnel Health is more effective than that crap. One crit tick from Rapid Regeneration is more effective than that. Or did you mean blocking? Blocking is stupid now unless you want to end up unable to break CC due to no stamina recovery, and besides, Nightblades make for the best tanks in PvP anyways and have since 1.5. Sap sap sap!
Detection potions need to be brought back to where they were. Even activating a 15 meter area damage spell immideatly after a Nightblade cloaks is often not enough, and right now you sacrifise way too many resources for too little visibility time by not using normal resource tripots.0 -
Merlight✭✭✭✭✭Is this thread serious? Got ambushed by a pussyblade, didn't drop at the first burst, he cloaked. So I popped a detection potion (lv20 tooltip says effect lasts for 5.2s). He appeared for less than a second, then vanished again. Happened numerous times to me yesterday. IF I managed to put a DoT on him in the brief window, he just danced around for the duration and then cloaked again, of course. I even found one good enough to know that I can't use another potion due to the cool-down, yet not good enough to actually fight.
