But not anymore, they want the $$$. More people playing, more $$$.
And so here comes the casual, and he has an opinion too.

Well some new games are hard to complete, but eso is a mmorpg and they want as many players as possible, cover up everyone.
Of course same goes for other games, but unlike eso they're mostly single player and you can decide if you want to play on hard mode or not.
Witcher 3 hardest mode is a joke tho.
Simply increasing dmg or health of mobs won't do the thing, I want more mechanics, more ways to react in a combat..
Hard to explain :P

The Elder Scrolls series have been dumbed down since TES4: Oblivion.
-Adds marker to show you EXACTLY where to go
-The world evolves with you (No more "I'm not supposed to be here" factor)
-Removed skills
-Removed spellcrafting
-etc...
Some games are "made" to be tough. But in a ridiculously way, like Dark Souls and such.

I really enjoyed the combat in Witcher 3 on Hardest. The humanoid fights were dumb and boring but many of the monster fights, especially when they way out leveled you were fun and a challenge and unlike most games it felt that every monster fight was different and you had to approach them with different tactics (once again when they out levelled you).
Honestly though, no AI in a game is going to compare to real players in a PvP environment. ESO up until now had so many ways to do anything you want and be effective at it that it kept me coming back. I'm going to give IC a chance and try to keep an open mind but if I end up having to rejoin the zerg to be relevant I'm going to go back and finish the Witcher 3 (and all the new DLC etc) while I'm looking for a replacement.

I'm actually a fan of the markers given how completely boring the majority of the quests are. Can you imagine having to listen to and read every quest you had to complete in ESO? I'd have quit by level 30....

More mechanics? Mmh...
What about reactive blocking? oh, and what about dodge rolling attacks that are really deadly! yeah dodge rolling would have to cost more than blocking to be fair...
...
Wait, wasn't that in 1.6?
