I know... I know.... what I'm about to say is going to get crap from others.
With that said, the only way a company will take action to do what is right for their product and their customers (when so blatantly ignoring us) is to enter consumer complaints into the BBB and other organizations of the like. I know that many of you will laugh at me. But I've been down this road before where products aren't supported and customers can't use the product purchased to it's fullest. The ToS for this game does not include not being able to play. There is no response from their CS team, no response from their Moderator staff other than the same usual crap of "check your connection", "hard reset your xbox".... etc...etc..etc...
This is utterly ridiculous. Once again, I know that I'm going to hear crap about this, but file complaints with the BBB, your state's attorney general, everything. This is absurd that we cannot play this game without problems, nor acknowledgement of the issue. Getting Microsoft included in this problem will help prove that ESO is screwing over Microsoft as well. They too are losing money in this fiasco.
ESO is a child-led company with incompetent employees who do nothing but shrug us off.
**** this game. I'm going to wait until new fall releases come out. The incompetence of maintenance for the console players, and the NA server, has completely pushed me away from throwing another dime into this. I would have put money into crowns, ESO Plus and DLC's. You've ruined this for a huge fan base.
Congratulations idiots.
I doubt you'll get crap; quite the alternative, everyone's just going to ignore you. DLC is very shiny after all, and everyone who's been in the world a while is itching for something new. This entire little issue will be a long-forgotten memory in a few weeks.
Actually, wait. Make that, "...a long-forgotten memory as soon as the servers work again." Nobody's gonna give a single toss as soon as they can get back to their quests. Also, every office and organization you mentioned has much better things to do than chase down Zenimax over a broken server or poor resource allocation. I like a good "torch n' pitchfork party" as much as anyone else, but the mob ain't rallying for this one.
That's just it. I don't want "crap". I want a game that works. We all do. I'm not asking for reimbursement of some sort. I just want to play.
And you are wrong in that this is not a "little issue"... this has been going on without any answers and won't be forgotten for quite some time. In the future, if I am interested in purchasing a new game, and I see that Zenimax has a hand in it, I'm going to think twice before purchasing it.
Finally, I only mentioned one office, BBB. But we can also go to the Bureau of Consumer Protection through the FTC. It doesn't matter. And that's the problem. If everyone who has had these problems, instead of entering a ticket through Zenimax's crappy Customer Service, instead entered a complaint online through these two agencies among others, then maybe Zenimax may actually ANSWER our complaints and look into fixing these catastrophic problems. It takes just as much time and I guarantee that you'd hear a response from these government agencies MUCH quicker than receiving a response from Zenimax.

It is a "little issue," because this stuff happens all the time with games. Big whoop. If you intend to hang it over Zeni's head forever, then feel free to waste your efforts; the opinions of few are always drowned out by majority rule, and the majority of players will forget all about this when they can get back into the game. Most of those on the fence will forget about it when they see features of the DLC that they like. Furthermore, I can guarantee that the servers will go down again in the future; they'll probably do it a dozen or more times in the next few months. There will be an outcry, it'll eventually get fixed, and people will stop caring. Again. Again. And, oh yes, again.
I'm sure you like to believe this company cares how you, individually, feel about the matter; I'd also like to think that every time I complain about FedEX losing one of my packages, Amazon will take it to heart and consider dropping that shipper from their service. Both of us should be adult enough to know that's not how the world, or corporations in general, operate. Reach out to as many legal teams or similar organizations that you like, just know that you'll get a lot more canned responses and automatic replies from them as well.
Then again, I can't really tell you how to spend your free time; maybe you're just venting, and won't reach out to anyone.I can only hope that you get over the fact that you're probably not gonna play this weekend, or many other weekends when the same thing happens in the future. Neither will most of us. Surprisingly, life goes on.
Lol name 1 AAA mmo that had this problem for 3+ days. Its "wow had much more problems at launch" excuse again, isnt it?

If this doesn't work, please reach out to Customer Support so they can troubleshoot with you. Thanks for your patience; we know this is frustrating.

- Log in to the opposite server (either EU or NA), then log back into your proper server.
- Turn your console totally off for 5 minutes, then turn it back on.
