Chances are they will go with a system where 1 alliance controls IC at a time by. So when your side has access and has cleared the enemy out it should be safe for the most part but you will still have to watch your back.
Your not forced to go to the IC and PVP. But they have been clear since the beginning that this is a mixed PVP and PVE game and if you want everything and to be as strong as possible you will have to do both. If you cant do that this probably isn't the game for you.
At a time of chaos and turmoil, children from all across tamriel have been taken by an evil Argonian Thieves guild. They were raised in captivity, forced to learn their captors evil ways and endured the harsh environment of Black Marsh. The intentions of the evil guild is still unknown till this day.
Amisdt the events surrounding the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a brave few has escaped their captors and ran off as far away as they can, eventually landing on the shores of khenarthi's roost.
Armed with the skills and the scars they have endured during their captivity, these brothers and sisters in chains has vowed revenge on their Argonian captors and their allies.
They kept the names branded to them by the evil reptiles as a reminder of all the pain and torment they have suffered, and have joined the Aldmeri Dominion as a means to an end... Paint Tamriel with Argonian blood.
100% lose of stones was my most frustrating experience so far.
I would get to about 400 tv stones and get group ganked by an opposing faction (did not make a difference of being grouped myself, they just focused one at a time).
As far as the city itself. It is nice. The environment was epic, with battles happening. The scope and size of Imperial City is about what I expected, but it is very small for a DLC that is suppose to keep us entertained for a whole quarter. As a Pve and PvP player I do net see enough in this DLC that warranted 2 vet levels.
Player ganking/griefing, lack of fun repeatable content, and difficulty to obtain items needed for crafting are some of my concerns that will cause this DLC to not be enticing enough for many to bother purchasing.
@kaithuzar The Tel Var meter in the bottom right shows current number of TV stones as well as the multiplier.Tel Var Stones
Was it clear when you gained Tel Var Stones? - Not very
Was it clear when the multiplier increased?
I think the indicator would disappear at times
Were you aware that there was a risk of losing Stones, and how it could happen?
Eventually, not at first
Did you see the accumulation of Stones while you played?
No , it's difficult to look in your bag while fighting; maybe an addon will put the count on screen.
ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »We have a lot of new systems going into our latest update, so we wanted to provide some suggestions on where to focus your testing, and some specific feedback we’re looking to gather that would help us the most. To aid in testing, we’ve provided VR16 and mid-level character templates for each alliance. In addition, we’ve copied all PC/Mac North American megaserver characters, and will be doing a PC/Mac European megaserver character copy in the coming weeks. Thanks in advance!
TESTING SUGGESTIONS
- Find the entrance to Imperial City, and go check out the new areas!
- Gather as many Tel Var Stones as you can, either from monsters or other player characters.
- Acquire new gear or item sets, and try them out with your character.
- Craft new armor or weapon sets via the set-specific crafting stations in Imperial City.
- Stream or record your group playing through the Imperial Sewers, Imperial Districts, Imperial City Prison, or White-Gold Tower, and let us know so we can watch!
- Visit an older dungeon with a low-level character, and see if the scaling feels balanced.

FEEDBACK WANTED
Imperial City
- Did you understand how to get to Imperial City, and how the new systems worked? Yes, although discoverable map markers in an interior area is a little odd.
- Was it clear how to leave Imperial City? No in-game warning was given when leaving the campaign by entering the Group Dungeons. A transitus shrine in the Alliance base would be incredibly helpful, even if only one-way.
- How was the overall performance throughout Imperial City? Regular CTDs in the districts. No problems in the sewers.
- How many Tel Var Stones did you get during your testing? Please specify how long you played. 400 in 3 hours of exploration, lost half and would have lost more if not for crashes.
Tel Var Stones
- Was it clear when you gained Tel Var Stones? Not very.
- Was it clear when the multiplier increased? Yes.
- Were you aware that there was a risk of losing Stones, and how it could happen? Only from prior knowledge.
- Did you see the accumulation of Stones while you played? No.
- What was your main method of acquiring Tel Var Stones? Trash mobs.
Itemization
- Did you find you could get VR15 gear easily? Was gaining VR16 gear more challenging? Looks to be exceedingly difficult.
Achievements
- Did you receive any new achievements while going through Veteran dungeons, Imperial City, or killing bosses? None.

FEEDBACK WANTED
Imperial City
- Did you understand how to get to Imperial City, and how the new systems worked? Yes. Quest giver points directly to sewer entrance.
- Was it clear how to leave Imperial City? No. There is no indication in game AT ALL that exiting a dungeon kicks you out of Cyrodiil proper, which renders a physical entrance in the IC or sewers useless. After discovering it once, why would anyone bother to run all the way there again when they can port directly into the dungeon from outside. And a player who spent time and effort queuing to get into Cyro, unlocking the entrance to IC just to get kicked out because he didn't know dungeon entrances worked like that is going to be VERY annoyed.
- How was the overall performance throughout Imperial City? Slightly laggy, CTD in all districts, but compared to live Cyro performance was very smooth, although that might be due to the low population.
- How many Tel Var Stones did you get during your testing? Please specify how long you played. Banked 350 over a few hours. Lost roughly 400 to players and mobs.
- How many Alliance Points did you get while you tested? 0.
- If you played through the Imperial City Prison or White-Gold Tower, how did the balance feel between the normal and Veteran versions? What level was your character? Tried veteran version of WGT, feel that it's completely overtuned. In fact, the dungeon at V15 now seems more of a tedious slog than when dungeon scaling was first introduced. Massive amounts of mob health, high mob healing, instakill AOEs and skills, our group of randoms got bored after the first 2 groups of trash. Fights were just tedious and boring. First boss had some interesting mechanics, but again the sheer amount of damage and adds flying around meant it was almost impossible. Gave up after 2 hours. Char was V15 with V14 gear.
Tel Var Stones
- Was it clear when you gained Tel Var Stones? Other than the ding sound, no.
- Was it clear when the multiplier increased? No. The meter fills but no indication when you jump or fall a tier.
- Were you aware that there was a risk of losing Stones, and how it could happen? Not without reading the patch notes, no. Only in game indicator is the death recap.
- Did you see the accumulation of Stones while you played? No. Most I had on my person was 102, which I promptly lost when a large group of enemy players rolled over me.
- What was your main method of acquiring Tel Var Stones? Mobs. Player kills provided very little stones, I can only assume that no one was carrying any, or the splitting mechanic meant individuals received very little.
Itemization
- What is your favorite new item or item sets? Where did you receive them? NIL. Did not receive or earn enough to buy any TV sets. Out of all sets in game now, Nerien'eth is my favourite now, would personally hope Maw of the Infernal gets buffed more to be viable. A thread is already open about MOTI and why it is currently bad.
- Are you happy with the stats on the new items or item sets? No. Most sets are gimmicky (Phoenix, Shock Master, Essence Thief), too situational (Shield Breaker, Meritorious Service, Powerful Assault), high TV cost for very little benefit. Item descriptions lack information/details. (Phoenix heals for how much? No internal cooldown for Scathing Mage/ Leeching/Prayer? How "nearby" must a player be for Redistribution/Assault? Radius of the Leeching poison cloud?) I firmly believe that when if I'm going to spend time acquiring these new sets, I want to be AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE about what I am getting. No surprises, no strings please. At the moment, would not buy the news sets even for the appearance. Unable to decide armour type or trait (on vendor/dropped sets) also kills it for me. Same goes for dungeon boss sets, effect is not worth the trouble going through the entire dungeon. Lord Warden 2 piece bonus is a complete let down. Molag Kena might be useful for the 1 piece shoulder, since farming the head is a no-go for me as per the above reasons (tedious, overtuned etc.)
- Did you feel the drop rate was adequate? No. In the few hours both alone and in a small group I gathered 8 pieces of random V15 gear, which are probably only good for decon. Absolute waste of time.
- Did you find you could get VR15 gear easily? Was gaining VR16 gear more challenging? By "get" if you mean "acquire" then yes to an extent, since mobs do drop V15 pieces at a slow slow rate. If by "get" you mean "keep and use", no. Not by a long shot did I find anything remotely useful from mob drops. The situation for V16 gear is 10X worse and just seems like an amazingly boring grind.
- Were the new items or item sets worth the effort? NO.
Achievements
- Did you receive any new achievements while going through Veteran dungeons, Imperial City, or killing bosses? No.

It wasnt out of the reachable hard but nicely challenging. The only downside were the Healer mobs from time to time. Havent installed any dmg addon atm but we had a realy hard time doing more dmg then he was healing. I assume it was because of not enough dmg from our side. I dont think its to hard. A try with a real group will show if the healermobs are realy OP. They were also not a problem because of dying but that it took a stupidly long time. We ran away from them after the first 2 -3 Groups after the First Boss.

- >> Yes, but was unsure about the sewers. First thought the sewers were the safe exit route from the districts. It was kind of confusing how to leave the districts, because the sewers seem to be the more dangerous place . But i realy realy love the 100% losing rate. If to many people cry about it and you are about to nerf it, pls let there be atleast one district with a 100% losing rate.
- Did you see the accumulation of Stones while you played?

- What was your main method of acquiring Tel Var Stones?
- >> Fighting in different sized groups/solo in the districts vs other players and all the mobs in the way. Also tried the Sewers with a group to kill Mobs and solo ganking of other players. The most Stones are aquired by ganking in sewers which i just tried for a few minutes. I ganked a group of 3 and got 1k stones from them. So i think there will be the issue on how to leave the districts because i think the sewers will become one gankparty to get stones.

- >> I realy like the idea, that vr15 is relativly easy to aquire and you realy have to farm for craftable v16 for the slightly better set. It has the big plus, that people can get decent gear rather quick, but people who want to have a goal can keep going for the slightly better v16 pieces and wont find themself with nothing to do. I realy appricate this and even think that 110 pieces per armor piece is not that much. Would be great to need something more like something out of the tresure vaults so there is an incetive to keep farming without getting a unfair advantage over the people wearing v15. And aslong as there are championpoint differnces unfair advantages are a given so it wouldnt even matter if the v16 pieces were much better.

Then that is just SO BORING!
IC in PTS last night was the BEST PVP experience I had. It felt like an Arena PVP. Fast paced and intense. Goodbye horse simulator.
Too bad IC was not meant to be played like this.

I did get roundabout 40 Stone in PvE in the Sewers with a random group and some dying for 1 hour or so. Than i have to log out in the sewers AND be killed by a NB. 40 Stones AWAY! Thats not ok. I playing PVE and ONE 5 Second PvP kill can destroy all my work... not nice! It's ok that you lost "more" stones on players than on Monsters. But not all!How many Tel Var Stones did you get during your testing? Please specify how long you played.
Killed two or three names in the sewers, only VR14 Gear. I found a chest VR14 gear+ 12 Telvar Stones. In the sewers only gear of my level drops.Did you find you could get VR15 gear easily? Was gaining VR16 gear more challenging?
