I agree. Us EU players only get templates after two weeks or so of testing, I hope ZOS have improved their templates such that we can craft required gear or even better do it properly and have vendors selling the relevant gear which we can buy for 0g and actually test with.1 -

For different reasons I also think template characters should be more properly outfitted. At a bare minimum all new sets and max crafting with both new styles unlocked to properly test. I think the biggest concern with unlocking the TelVar stone sets for me though is the horrible imbalance that is farming stones and not getting ganked by a squad of 24 will be completely circumvented if players are given the sets without having to farm the stones in PTS.

Thanks for the response, but I'm more than aware that I'll get the copy. I still like to experiment on the PTS with various builds, and with their comments regarding how long it may take to farm the best gear or the mats to craft them (or Telvar Stones to buy them), I'm even more concerned about having different gear and materials/currency made available to template characters.
I will spend some time farming and testing out how long it takes to get some of the best new gear to gauge times and whatnot, but I don't plan to spend the time necessary to farm entire sets; I'd rather test ability balance, new builds, gear combinations, and stability in Cyrodiil/IC. I don't want to spend my entire time on the PTS simply farming mats and gear.
To put my views simply, I believe that the templates we were using for the PTS to test update 6 would be completely unacceptable for this upcoming patch.Daggerfall Covenant (PC-NA)

At this point, I don't think anyone needs to test trial gear, and the amounts of gold available wasn't even enough to buy the bag space to hold everything that's included on the templates. A selection of new sets would be nice for testing and perhaps a supply of stones on the templates. A few people will have the time to farm a bit in order to test new sets and give the 'risk/reward' telvar system a fair shot, but others (like me) won't have the time to get too far into the new systems if we don't have a solid starting point.

There is only one PTS, and the patch on it won't change. What she meant is that after 2 weeks, the NA copies of characters will be wiped out and replaced by EU copies.3 -

No, that isn't what it means.
NA and EU both share the same PTS, this is why NA and EU characters cannot co-exist as I have a character called "Paolen" in EU but someone on NA may also have "Paolen" and this would cause database errors and lots of issues.
To circumvent this, they copy NA first for two weeks, wipe all the characters and then copy EU over for two weeks.
Both NA and EU will be able to access the PTS fully from date of release however after two weeks NA players will only have access to templates and not their man characters.Edited by Paulington on July 27, 2015 9:04PM3 -

Where are Captain Durida and Captain Veranim hiding? They are not at either of the Daggerfall shields. I have searched and searched and I am beginning to believe they are only a rumor. It is very irritating to spend hours roaming around looking for people who do not seem to exist. Is everyone sure that Imperial city is on PTS? Because I don't think it is. There is no one in the zone who knows anything about it.0

I don't think they will directly nerf it, but there was some talk about a set bonus that is specifically meant to counter shields. We'll see later today i guess 0
