What? Just put a new launcher on a different drive. Copy paste. First unclick auto update in settings AND makes new folder in new drive. Put copied launcher in there. Drag shortcut on to desktop. Rename it PTS. Game will always download into whatever folder "that launcher is in". Then install PTS.

I doubt it. Nothing will carry over to live after PTS ends. Most people will check it out from curiosity and test if anything that affects them directly is broken. Then go back to live to get their Champion Points and gold and other things that will persist and be useful when IC goes live.
The people that do serious, committed testing on PTS are wonderful people. But they are rare. I bet only 5% of player base has PTS installed and a much smaller percentage do serious testing.1 -

ZOS stated that their plan would be to BUFF abilities to level the playing field as opposed to nerfing them. ZOS, If you nerf abilities with hard caps such as this the consequences will be bad. Because once that ability is rendered useless They will move on to the next "best" thing and nerf that.
People will complain. ZOS needs to buckle down and decide what's truly right for the game and not what pleases the customers who make the most noise. For instance, ZOS, you probably don't hear much on PvP that isn't tied to Cyrodiil.. and that is because these players left last year. But you can bet your bottom dollar that small instanced PvP would promote class balance and bring in new customers.
I haven't played PTS (as it isn't out yet), but you can bet I'll instantly be trying out bolt escape.

To test Imperial City, don't you have to be part of a campaign? This wouldn't be an issue on Live, but the campaign is constantly full on PTS... I was really looking forward to testing IC.0 -
