It seems if you cancel the animation it applies the ground effect dot instantly.
How's that broken? The spell is instantcast now after all. If anything, they should update the animation.

You see in most games people tend not to use exploits in assumption action will be taken against them and they wont last long anyway. In this game people abuse them for months on end as they know nothing will happen nor will it get fixed until a major update (which seems to be like twice a year other than these "sound fixes" no one was complaining about)
For some companies, this approach seems to be the only one that really works. So to everybody: please share all the exploits you know, since ZOS isn't stopping anyone from using them and having just part of the playerbase enjoy the fruits of exploiting is unfair.TheElementalPlatypus wrote: »Inner Light (sorc only) - equip overload, turn it on, turn it off, and directly after press the key that goes with inner light/bound armor.

Double Mundus - Get twice born - go get two mundus - die in pve rez with a gem, and unequip while in ghost.
Dawnbreaker (sorta) - self explanatory
Free rezzing - not entirely sure how

see, THAT is was constitutes exploiting, in my book.TheElementalPlatypus wrote: »Inner Light (sorc only) - equip overload, turn it on, turn it off, and directly after press the key that goes with inner light/bound armor.

This on the other hand (or nirn, or flame-lash or concealed weapon, etc...) is mereley usage of bugged skills exactly in the same way you would be using them during "normal" gameplay.TheElementalPlatypus wrote: »Dawnbreaker (sorta) - self explanatory
For me as Stamina Build, actually using dawnbreaker is useless.
It gets mitigated by spellresistance and you barely got any penetration if you run Stamina.
5k crits ftw.
(wpn dmg buff is nice tho)
Meth hit me with a 36k dawnbreaker yesterday while I was looking at my map

What ultimate isn't magic damage?
Answer is: ice comet and shooting star. They are both spell resist anyways.

Incapacitating Strike is saying it deals magic damage, but doesn't get absorbed by Harness or mitigated by spellresistance.

Looks like Incapaciting Strike isnt working as intended and youre exploiting it. #banSoulac

I call all 3 [snip]
Dawnbreaker is not an exploit either. It is just a bug. You cannot forbid people in cyrodill to put it on their ultimate bar and use it. It is up for Zos to fix/balance it. Don't cry/whisper to the player who used it. He just uses a legimate skill.

Soulac is using a stamina build. As a result, the ultimate has scaled off Weapon Crit and Weapon Damage. As the ultimate is using Weapon Crit, it ignores harness/dampen. All abilities that scale off Weapon Crit ignores harness/dampen.
No man, it's working as intended! Check the poll.Joy_Division wrote: »Not even a vamp and insta-died to Meth's Dawnbreaker multiple times last night. Zero counterplay possible with that first tick coming instantaneously.

Why would i use it? I get much more damage by spamming Jabs over and over again. The weapon damage bonus is the only reason i even slot it.@Joy_Division I am with you. Many of the design choices are half thought through only. I slot meteor on my sorc as well and I have dawnbreaker slotted on my nightblade. If you have only lesser suitable choices otherwise, you take the best one irrespective of this.Joy_Division wrote: »Isn't The definition of "exploit" the abuse of a game mechanic that has an unintended or bugged effect?well, personally I have a hard time calling the straight up use of an ability an "exploit".
That said, dawnbreaker of smiting is currently clearly bugged, and needs fixing
By that standard, flat out using a bugged ability is an exploit. Sadly, this is usually tolerated in this game.
Because the game would be unplayable otherwise.
So I am a sorcerer, what ultimate do you want me to use since people will [snip] at me for slotting meteor and I'm a hack for using Dawnbreaker? The useless atrnoach? The nerfed-to-the-ground negate? Overload which can't hit all the perma-dodge rollers?
Was I not supposed to use fire trebs because the first DoT ticked immediately? It is the only tool in the game designed to counter enemy siege weapons on top of castle ramparts.
How exactly is the use of nirn supposed to be police and not tolerated?
A DK without flame lash in the 1.6 environment where it's burst or die?
It is ZoS's responsibility to provide us with a functioning and balanced game. Not my responsibility to run a gimped build and compete against the many players who do not measure up to your standards of what is good sportsmanship.
But I would never go on the forums and post useless things likeThis makes one look like a poor sod who is unable to survive without exploits and desperately tries to defend what little chance of success they have. Hence, I cannot take those serious.
