Doesn't really matter even if support for Text Chat was in the minority. The Dev's stated They wanted to encourage a Social Enviroment and also group with others for this game, they have completely failed in this area without Text Chat.1 -

No, its one side getting what they want and telling the other that it would solve their issue.
I never said it would solve everything all I said was ok t would give both sides what they want without either said not getting what they want .
Well right now their one side getting what they want and telling the other side to deal with it.My idea would a allow both sides to have what they want how is that a problem if you get text chat in the end just because it's not how you would like you would still have it.
I have a question what will you all do if Zos have a vote that made it so.all console.player would have to vote on.the issue or not get into the game and the majority voted to only have voice chat then what will you all say and do?
I would say that hypothetical situation is impractical. Also simply googling MMO no text chat brings up multiple links with discussions on several different sites about ESO having no text chat on consoles. LOL absolutely not, Text Chat is absolutely needed it's a Social Aspect, and the Dev's have already stated Grouping and also Socializing is what they want to encourage, they have completely failed to do so because they didn't add Text Chat in consoles.2 -

But this VC is driving me crazy its so horrible especially as only real way to communicate in this game although thanks to no chat box on console and only VC I never here much communication just unnecessary noise mainly getting tired of having to constantly turn VC off
Chat box is the way to go in mmo's on this scale we are all basically equal on a chat box and it does not interfere with my immersion (if I can disable it)
Voice chat seemed like a good idea but unfortunately its just your typical console VC awful quality (plus alot of peeps have crap mics) and mainly abuse towards others and the system.

FF11, FF14ARR, neverwinter, dcuo etc all had proper chat boxes that I happily used with a controller and there all still going strong no VC needed but atleast they got the option and ESO is a so much better of an mmorpg than any of these just this no chat box is gonna make Tamriel a very lonely place indeed in the long run think about Roleplayers and all the people here for the next gen mmorpg
One step forward and two steps back imo you'll be surprised how many gamers hate VC these days because its not used like it used to be now VC is mainly used as a way to just grief other players

It's a options that I believe is not needed it's not a options that is needed like damage numbers something that's need more attention and have bigger impact on the game then text chat but I see hardly any of you their asking for something that is more desperately needed then text chat.AaronLannister wrote: »

Like I said.you can't use that poll.Since the voting pool was tainted.If it was only consoles ESo players then I'll give up but since.it wasn't I Wil not accept it.It's like allowing Chinese people who only every lived in China and America's to vote in a poll about who they would want for president you wouldn't be able to use that poll since the poll is tainted.Since they are not American and their choice have no affect on them.The poll is unusable.
Adding text chat has no affect on you, and yet here you are trying to force your ideas unto people. If we(text chat people) are the Americans, and you(voice chat people) are Chinese, why are you trying to vote? According to you, your vote should be considered "tainted", because you simply don't matter. You're Chinese lol

That is because we (most of us) feel adding back in text chat would be a benefit to the game as a whole, by making the in game community stronger, more "global". Yes additional UI enhancements would be nice, but if there isnt a strong community in game people are not going to stick around for long so its kinda moot.

LOL absolutely not, Text Chat is absolutely needed it's a Social Aspect, and the Dev's have already stated Grouping and also Socializing is what they want to encourage, they have completely failed to do so because they didn't add Text Chat in consoles.
No they have not you can find a group and socialize with voice chat.Just because it's not the way you want to socialize doesn't mean you can not socialize in ESO.
I never said you can't socialize, you're just purely discriminating against people who want Text Chat and claim it isn't necessary when it is and it's proven that it makes games more Social.
There are too many disadvantages already pointed out when it comes to Only Voice Chat.
