Great read and exactly how a lot of us feel about the game. Heck looks like he canceled and refused to give them any more money same time I made my decision.

Call it what ever you like. Problem is MMORPG hits a lot of PC/MAC users, this is NOT good for ZoS.

How is it not good? If what he says is true, and all that matters is console, then it doesn't matter if PC suffers as long as console doesn't. And to that point, there are several comments already that reflect my opinion too.

He sounds like a whining, impatient, immediate gratification driven toddler.

And most of them know that MMORPG.com is a club of ... whiners. Don't you? I would never, never ever read an article there and take it as given. And I don't really know someone who would ... maybe you are the first?

I take the gist of that article to be "I quit paying, because I disagree with the company policy of revealing/announcing big news at big events. Otherwise, the game's great."

Also, people who have to resort to claiming they're not whining are almost always in denial. To wit:
I know this article seems like I’m whining like a toddler because I’m not getting enough attention, but that’s not the case at all.
    Yeah, right. ;)

Yep simply put the PC game is not worth the subscription fee right now. The only reason to sub right now during console crisis is to altruistically support the company in hope of the future. Its the only reason I remain subbed through this.

I think they are stuck with console crisis as much as we are. My thought is to support them through it so they can later begin to support me after the crisis is over. If they lose subs they may lose a position, or a potential hire and then console crisis takes even longer to end. Maybe we get burned at the end for all our support I don't know, but it seems reasonable.

    @BigM Thanks :)

I was thinking/wishing the other day about this very thing and that more of the gaming sites should be covering the atrocious behavior towards the pc player base. Something is better than nothing.

If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Just read the article on mmorpg, and it's a level headed article that I agree with 100%

You seem to be jumping into most complaint threads (your choice of course) complaining about the complainers, but the mmorpg article sums up nicely why so many of us are complaining so much.

Sums up nicely? The only argument he makes where he considers both sides equally is the subscription fee. That's it. He explains the pro's and con's and then settles into "it's not worth it". I'm OK with that. The rest of the article was "I CAN'T BELIEVE WE STILL DON'T HAVE MORE CONTENT".

You guys can say what you like about MMORPG but they do have Members:2,988,636 Users. If just a half a million read and decide to stay away from game it will hurt in long run.

And in addition, members != readers, not even close. And for many that did read, they have come to same conclusion as the rest of us: it's just whining.

One thing we should all agree with consoles, those players are more of a run and hit gamers. Sure a lot and I mean lot will buy and play then a new game will hit and boom ESOTU will be a ghost town. PC/MAC is where ZoS should be leaning toward for loyal players.

It does not matter how many users MMORPG has. All that matters is if the sub fee provides value to you, not someone else, but you. If it does, keep the sub going, if it does not, then make that decision.

Personally, the sub is worth it to me, as I am leveling my characters faster now in VR than ever before, and I fully expect I will be at VR14 or close to it when I finish Gold. My Sorcer just hit VR10 and still has all of Rivenspire, Alikir and Bangkori to do. My Templar is VR6 and just showed up to the 3rd zone in Silver. She will probably be at VR10 when she finishes Silver. My Dragonknight is currently basking in some field somewhere, other than having him enchant, he has been parked for 4 months.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

What people that call us whiners don't realize is that we whine about the horrible decisions ZoS makes consistently cause we ultimately really like their product and care enough to complain with hopes that things will change for the better. If there were no whiners, that means they would just leave and not be around at all cause they didnt care enough.

Case in point, I have played Tera, Archage, SWTOR, and WoW and I never visit their forums to tell them what I don't like about their games. Cause I simply didnt like the game enough.
I'm kind of a small deal!

He pretty much glosses over the other perks for subscription, it isn't just Crowns and 10% xp gain. Yeah maybe he doesn't PvP and need the boost to AP, or crafting, or gold. To me its decent perks for someone who is enjoying playing the game.

Of course I took several months off and have not reached VR14 yet so I am still enjoying content. No issue for me.

What @Nestor said: your own opinion is it that matters. Why should I base my opinion on others? If I would do that, I would have missed a lot of games that I love. I'm sorry for everyone who does that.

@Lord Xanhorn exactly I expected a LOT out of this game, not bugs and being pushed to the side while console got all the attention. They should have done a better balancing act with both.

Well, you could have said right from the start that this was going to be another unfounded, biased jab at another platform. It's a good thing ZOS released the OS X version when they did, because otherwise we'd never hear the end of diatribe against Mac as a gaming platform. Wait... :D

People's opinions are always fine but all these topics on ESO Plus where the company specifically told us all in March when the ESO Plus was open, they would be directing pretty much most of their attention to the console launches is a bit much...

I don't think it is a jab. I own the PS4 and have ordered TESO for it.

But I still strongly feel the PC users have been treated awfully by Zenimax in the lead up to the console release

Not taking jab at consoles, hell still saving up for an xbox1 but I know console players Fallout 4 will get a lot more players than ESOTU will. Big thing will be how many will come back after they play Fallout 4. Normally console players just move on to next game.

Either way this is not great advertising for them, so not sure how they couldn't have stopped this from happening. Didn't need a crystal ball to see this coming.

What a bull****. MMOs that are available for PC and consoles are making more money and are played more on console than on PC. And that's not an opinion, that's a fact based on numbers published by the developers of such MMOs. If you are such a frequent reader of sites like MMORPG.com, you would know that.

So you are really just a crybaby screaming for attention.
