I appreciate the opportunity to see gameplay from this perspective, but I didn't find it very interesting. (The footage from the first fight especially).

I can remember a time when my small group would run into Bulbasir, Hildy, Teargrants & a few others and we'd have some pretty good fights at the gank spots by the Alessia bridge or in the Nikel/Roe corridor. We won some of them & lost some of them, but they were always intense (at least until a zerg showed up to ruin the fun). It says something about the state of PvP in the game that those kinds of fights just don't happen anymore. It's kinda disappointing to see that you guys adopted the <ahem>organized group<ahem> playstyle because you were a solid/skillful small group, but that really isn't demonstrated in this video.

I understand where you are coming from, and you are entitled to your own opinions. This type of gameplay is not however some kind of instant group up and your unstoppable. It takes teamwork, strategy, and overall unity as a group to be successful. Anyone who says teamwork is stupid or OP needs to get a team, of find another game. Also, just because we choose to play this way ( as cyrodiil is intended btw ) does not mean we have by any means lost skill or the ability to small man. I greatly look forward to arenas and If and when they come into play, you will see us there too.

The amount of effort and work that goes into leading and organizing such a thing was a prime contributor to the burnout that lead to my three month vacation. It's a lot of work.

Due to my recent emperor push on Azuras, I have come to appreciate these types of groups more. Raids, zergs, gankers, roamers, whatever you are labeled as...they each play their part in the war and makes it interesting. (IMHO)

Since I was at work and couldn't impact the map during the afternoon, I watched Sypher's stream yesterday while doing paperwork. He was attempting to lead a raid to get Aetcharian (spelling?) Sophia crowned as Emperor for AD.

And... it just wasn't working. Not that he didn't have the bodies, he did. Not that he didn't have good players, he most certainly did. It didn't work because the experience level of running and organizing large teams wasn't there.

They'd get pushed by an organized group and just fall apart as the team couldn't break it into a bunch of 1v1 and 2v2 fights, but had to coordinate and use things outside their normal toolboxes. The quick orders and muscle memory response on how to deal with it just wasn't there.

Not to take anything away from Sypher, as I feel he's a very good 1v1 player due to his vast experience at it, but it's a whole different skillset and converting immediately into pushing for Emperor felt overly ambitious.

OTOH, when I've raid lead (both in DAOC and here), there's nothing more valuable than the rogues and scouts watching your flanks and rears. They keep enemies from piling up where you're not looking (by killing them) or give you warnings.

In DAOC, our guild made friends with some Scouts and Assassins that were online frequently. We let them know where to find solos easily and they let us know where things were they couldn't handle. By watching each other's backs we formed a more effective whole. When I see a keep under siege and either stealthers from the siegers side are watching reinforcement lines killing what they can, warning the siegers about what they can't, that's a soloer who is 'doing their job' so to speak. They're getting the kills and small fights they like AND they're helping the faction out immensely.

Gankers have a role to play. Good gankers who play that role well should be appreciated as much as the organized team that takes the keep.

    See you in Cyrodiil

Translation: You know youre zerging but youre not willing to be insulted for it.

More like.. You get rekt by 20men groups on a daily basis and it makes you so mad that you gotta try over and over again to convince people that zerging = anything but your own group.

Apologies if you were offended by FENGRUSHs words. There is no reason to come make up stories about the Lord FENGRUSH though.

Not here to bash the guild or gameplay - just enjoying the comments from posters that have to justify themselves to others by telling them about the teamwork required. This style of play requires an active and mindful leader backed by a solid core - beyond that its plug and play.

No offense to anybody, theres plenty of well rounded and good players in the video. If you think you can anger FENGRUSH, you truly do not understand Him. FENGRUSH is unaware of who you are, but looks forward to meeting you on the battlefield to see your rekting in action.

Cant believe you have sound on when you have to listen to rapid fire purges for hours on end.

Isn't he part of the same guild that almost always runs two groups deep?

    No, FENGRUSH is not.
