Sorry to inform you but there are many grinds where one can reasonably obtain ~500k/hr solo and ~700k/hr duo/married/plus. Outside of Cyrodiil at that.

The only praise you'll receive is superhate from those who have been secretly using some of these grinds for a while. ;)

The problem is not finding a good grind spot. The problem is finding a good grind spot that isn't perma-camped.

Or dealing with those people who just drop right into your grind spot and start screwing up the spawns because they want to grind.

I need an instanced grind spot

Incorrect, QuadroTony; my hero, the peoples hero will give me praise and reward me with a bag of Haribo.

I've no idea why you are "sorry to inform me", I'm not going to ask you to elaborate because I'm not here to encourage Gryndra thread derailment. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware - but QuadroTony is the spokesperson for Gryndra, which is quite a big deal actually.

It is my duty, my responsibility to bring as many 500,000+ solo grinds to QuadroTony's attention. He is my hero, Gryndra is my sanctuary.

I'm still holding out for someone to make the juicy Reaper's March insta-respawn, experience & gold farm.

Go right ahead. There's multiple grind zones in every single Silver/Gold zone. It's not hard. Fast respawn, easy-to-kill mobs, moderate xp rate, and preferably no CC spamming from mobs... Some are better than others, but most are still efficient means of grinding.

Perhaps your little "mission" will help alleviate other spots that are overcrowded.

Smart money would be on adding another form of PvP such as arenas, dueling, or battlegrounds to alleviate Cyrodiil load. But Zenimax has also said that they are not going to do this.

I'm just going to point out this is not entirely true.

During Open Beta we had huge large scale battles without lag. Hundreds over players fighting in the same location. It was truly epic!

I remember this because i was amazed by the performance and one of the things that convinced me to switch over to this game for PvP. However, ever since a certain unnamed patch was released and not rolled back, in spite of the obvious impact on performance, it has since then been all downhill.

An now that there have been so many subsequent updates since that fateful patch it will be nearly impossible to isolate and resolve the issue because any one of these subsequent updates could have added their own performance issues. Kind of hard to know if a fix works if performance is still poor because a new issue was introduced in a subsequent update.

Quite frankly it will take a miracle to fix the performance issues at this point.

After all, why would they have raised XP in the delves if they didn't want players to flock to them. Maybe this was your logic after all. Anyway...

I was wrong on this one ;).

I dont think they are going to nerf delve XP in Cyro because Brian Wheeler wants the players to be more spread out, away from keeps. This is definately a way to do that. And then the PvErs will get ganked and QQ... should be fun.

Nonsense. Any efficient grinder with a quarter brain knows not to play in any campaign that is not owned by their faction and has low pop .Also they would know how to avoid or beat most of those pathetic little gankers. Really what semi serious PVPer would actually get any fun from that instead in actual serious combat.

After about 40CP gained in Cyro in Cyro while farming MK sets I have encountered exactly 8 enemy players and got killed exactly 3 times.Fun times.

@Sureshawt I have heard that, and would have loved to experience it! But don't you think that perhaps the real detriment to performance was anti-hacking code added by ZOS?

I guess you are referring to the "lighting patch," but I have never understood how changing the way that the game renders lighting could cause lag at the level seen today in Cyrodiil. Isn't it possible that something else added in that patch is the root of all of the lag problems? Something unrelated to lighting?

I'm also not convinced the lighting change itself caused it for the same reasons you state which is why I don't mention it specifically. However, the timing of that patch and poor performance since makes me suspect that something was done in that patch that we are not aware of and it is not related to a lighting change.

    A question for the grinders.

I see toons grinding around and around and around again. Non-stop for hours it seems.

Does this not get boring? I have followed a few around for a bit and after five minutes of this complete boredom sets in.

I had so much fun doing quests and now find that I miss it. Non-stop grinding to what effect?

I ask this respectfully because I am honestly at a loss.

Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

If grinding was all the game had to offer then I'd agree that it would seem pretty pointless. A lot of us have made more than one character, played through the storyline multiple times, did all quests, side quests and a good chunk of the achievements. You reach a point when it becomes pretty boring and repetitive. In my case I got my entertainment value from the story line and I'd rather spend 30 hours grinding, than spend 130 hours questing. I grind alt characters, when I'm not in the mood to do end game content so that I can do end game content with them, namely pvp.
