They should have a free trial I am fine with that. Usually you get 7 days or so of limited access to feel out the game. Thats not like being a f2p or b2p game with a cash shop.

The fact that they have not responded to the multiple threads about this same dead horse, confirms to me that they are not in the slightest worried about this rumor, and that next week and the week after that will be business as usual.

Trials could be OK is they were weekends only (like beta weekends) and on the PTS.

I honestly wont mind if ESO did go F2P only if they did it right.

But all this spawned because someone over reacted that 6 month subs were taken out, and now every other thread is the same thing, so damn annoying. Everyone needs to stop freaking out about something that hasn't been announced.
