I totally rely on addons for my enjoyment of the game, and would likely cancel my sub if I couldn't use them.

I always want my damage to be higher, my armor to be better and my weapon(s) to do more damage. Ergo I try to find/make armor/weapons with higher stats to help make that happen. It is a basic affair.

I don't need floating numbers to tell me how well I'm doing because I always strive to be better and that's all that's needed to improve.

So I guess you somehow intuitively knew that staves use spell crit instead of weapon crit? And also, that some class abilities use weapon crit?

No, there's absolutely no way to know that without seeing the numbers.

And it's not ok for us to tell casual players, or people that dont want to get bogged down in the details, that they need that type of data to be successful in the game.

If you want to do hard-mode trials and vet dungeons you absolutely do need that data.

I would be upset if we couldn't use Addons anymore, but I'd still be able to enjoy playing the game.

I think that many, or even most, players really don't care about details like that. And that's ok. What's not ok is them telling the rest of us that we shouldn't care either.

Actually I think many, or even most players WOULD be disappointed if they crafted a nice set of medium armour for the weapon crit, only to find out later that all their preferred skills actually use spell crit for some reason. Or the reverse with light armour.

It is strange that addons are the only way to really tell this isn't it?
