So, really, your issue isn't with someones opinion, but with ZOS and their choices. I get it, you don't agree with it. You're passionate about it. However horrible you may think it is and how much you think it's needed, in the end, it's still just your opinion. Even if thousands or hundreds of thousands agree with you, it's still just an opinion and not fact.
So is Big Rigs and Duke Nukem Forever. The fact is, the game is still playable without it and will continue to be playable without it.
Which shouldn't be the case [snip]Until ZOS decideds to include it or not, indefinitely, figure out alternatives.
Wrong. And FFXI was on the PS2 and also had text chat. There have only been two, afaik, true MMOs on console.
That's the MODERATORS job, this gets taken care of fast in any good MMO.One of those is still currently a PS/PC exclusive. The other, that was released more recently, has text chat, but is incredibly flooded with spam messages and marketing messages, it's impossible to use correctly.
If people in my guild need to communicate and aren't on a mic or not able to be in general guild chat, we use a group chat app. It's really not that difficult to find alternative methods until ZOS decides to implement text chat.

Sorry it's a Objective Opinion that it's bad for many reasons people have mentioned. Objective is not the same as an Subjective opinion like you suggest.

Fact of the matter, YOU SHOULDN'T need to do that, [snip]

As much as I would like Text Communication, I seriously doubt any one game is "driving" you back to the "MMO that shall not be named". If you really wanted to play ESO, you would simply play it. Done. Simple.
The point was that the game is great to play, but the social aspects aren't very good. I'd like to see the Xbox communications brought up to speed with the PC. I want to sit on the couch, not in front of the computer.
Technically, you should be able to do both (sit on the couch in front of the computer) if you have a TV made in the last 5-10 years or so. Text support across those platforms that have the necessary input devices would be nice, though.
Having played mmos for 15 years I find the community is what keeps me playing any one game for years.
Lack of text really limits community interaction. Having to communicate with friends and guildies through psn features is ridiculous
Exactly the lack of Social features along with "Names" that don't even matter. ZoS quit making excuses and work on Text Chat.
Geez.
Imho, I think the majority of actual players are fine with guild chat and would prefer new stable content over redundant communication options that will require an additional purchase of a required peripheral.
I am in several and if you play on the PS 4, na server, I promise I will personally introduce you to some larger more serious guilds.
Eb of course.
We have a lot of laughs and I think you seem like a well reasoned adult who just got a bit frustrated.
Send me an invite and let's go play the game instead of this.
The offer is sincere.
Cheers.
PS zos
My friends have asked that I request this,
A dwemer mount.
Plzzzzzzzz.
Anyone I mention this idea to loses their mind with a serious case of 'take my money zos'
Not the point, I have also met great people. The fact of the matter is, I prefer typing over talking to people. And so do many people, it's also good for Roleplaying which an MMORPG is suppose to also cater toward and completely fails.

Bro the offer still stands and have you ever table topped?
I don't think we would have any of these games without d and d?
Straight voice comms there.
I was thinking that with all of the emotes and the area chat, roleplaying could REALLY be fun.
In table top you would narrate to fill for the accent you can't do or actions with no corresponding emote.
Similar to text roleplaying just faster and with the added level of empathy that vocal inflection brings.
Sorry for the rant.
Zos may we have a name tag that states we are 'in character' instead of. 'Tyro'?

While doing the daily pledges I have come across several people that I've added to my friends list so we could maybe group up again sometime. However this usually doesn't happen because I always forget who played what class (tank, dps or healer). So I was wondering, would it be possible to ad the roll someone is playing on the character they are logged on with to your friends list. You can already see their faction, location character name, class and level. Why not the roll they have selected in their grouping tool. This would make grouping with people in your friends list a lot easier.

Question:
When can consoles players expect a a simple "yes", "no", or "we are working on it" answer to the simple question; "Is text communications coming to consoles?"
Thank You,
