to all of you who've decided to pop your homes over from thornblade to party on our previously quiet little server - welcome, it's been a really great few days, and i've got a lot of hope for where chillrend's going now that there's a DC presence.

Glantris! I hope to see you on the battle field!
The only thing I don't understand is why the night capping EP from Chill - and the night capping AD from Thorn don't join the same server.
Wouldn't they want people to kill so they could earn AP?
I don't get it.

Some Aussie AD did move over and today the night capping EP were back hiding on Thorn again. We just need 1 campaign so you can't run and hide.
Yeah ran on thorn this morning and it was all the old EP from Chill I was fighting. Same crew - different server. Maybe they at least get a fight numbers wise against AD there.
Problem becomes the night capping AD from Thorn moving to chill - since the EP night cappers have moved to thorn. BTW - all 6 scrolls and Emp on Thorn are EP now.
@ZOS_BrianWheeler This is the core of the problem. We can't have fun and balanced campaigns with the ease of movement from one campaign to the others for the PvDoor crowd.
As soon as they get a fight they switch campaigns. Fighting is what it's all about. Balance is achieved through constant battles and attrition. The campaign score and scrolls/emp buffs are solely decided on who night caps and on which server.
There has to be a solution to this and right quick or the people who play the game for PvP will be leaving. I know it's a lot of fun to be floating from one campaign to the next - but the population is dying because of it. I'm not crying that the sky is falling - it's been falling - but this is one of the major problems facing the long term health of this title.

They went to Thorn in primetime yesterday and started turning the map red (it was all yellow), so this was not the Aussies from EP like you're saying. I don't know why they did it but it was likely because they were tired of being camped at their scroll gates by DC on Chill, that or they were tired of everyone from Thorn coming over to Chill and causing lag because Thorn is just one giant AD zerg at all hours.
I have no idea why they went, but it was not the Aussies that went over there and started fighting. It was probably just some EP who wanted big zergs to fight against to get AP or something.
I lol every time I see tripe b/c ik it's just gonna be a blazing shield battle lmao.Agrippa_Invisus wrote: »Thornblade NA crowned Tripe emperor at 10pm Central US 9/4/14. That's primetime.
AD was pop locked when it happened. We pulled every scroll but Mnem from AD on Thornblade during prime time while they were poplocked. We even let DC recapture Ash (the crowning keep) to let them 'stay in the game' so to speak. No defense (aside from pugs) was offered.
I will be gentle off hours, but during prime time, I step on throats.

:O bitaken why you misinform me
Good fights yesterday pixy it was fun, even when I got dethroned because AD and EP stacked hundreds of bodies on the flags at aleswell and we were unable to pour oil lol. My lcs meter hit 600k damage in that back flag room without pouring oil
The fights have been good! Yesterday the pop imbalance was crappy though. DC locked out when I got home from work, and AD/EP only had 1-2bars. Guess they were fighting on Thornblade.
Why can't we all just fight on the same campaignnnnn

Yep, definitely was.
I don't really get what EP is doing right now, or why they would go back to Thornblade, but I'm sure they had a reason at the time. I just wish everyone [except EG] would stay on the same server, or we could somehow come to an agreement before 1.4 drops as to where all the Aussies would go and where the rest of us would go.
In all the EG raids I have participated I have never heard Brandon once instruct everyone to spam AOE to crash the server.
If it's heals being spammed, then ZOS should change how ultimates are charged. No one is doing it intentionally to crash people out.

Ah agrippa, you seemed like someone who didn't exaggerate. I'm on chillrend, but I got the notification of all these flips and was on at 10pm central... yellow was at 2 bars on Thorn... not that I care that you jerk yourself off or whatever, but peoples' BSing makes me itch. I even remember looking and being surprised that I didn't have my Thornblade extra AP and other buffs! And lo and behold at that time (when I looked) Thornblade was almost all EP!
i was on thorn while it was happening, AD did lock at one point and when it unlocked it bounced from 2-3 bars but did eventually lock again. DC kind of hovered from 1-2 bars.
im not sure why EP would do this though, did you do it just to get your friend emp, or were you just tired of being stomped on by actual groups on chill?

We've been on Thornblade since before the reset occurred. We left Chillrend when it was getting flooded with EP and came to help shore up the flagging EP numbers Thorn was experiencing. Since coming to Thornblade we've repeatedly fought Venatus and DiE.
Last night was more about making banana pudding than pushing for Emperor. Vokundein pushed emperor while we were defending Faregyl from an AD counter attack. Tripe's in Hijinx and was with us there, not at Ash when he was crowned.

Oh, are you and Vokundein AU guilds?

We moved to Thorn while Chillrend was all red. While Alacrity, No Mercy, Venatus, DiE, and EG were all active players on Thornblade.
Vokundein was always on Thorn. They were the organized team holding the fort and keeping things together while the EP population dipped on Thornblade and the rest moved to Chillrend. Credit to them for sticking it out. They earned my respect through staying and explicitly not leaving for Chillrend.
Hijinx left Chillrend, being a Chillrend native from the first two week cycle of hte campaign precisely because it was being painted red every night during the overnight period.
During the worst of the EP zerging on Chillrend, the Thornblade team would be stuck at 2 bars much of the night, locking only after DC/AD locked and then unlocking first.
Thornblade, at the time, needed our help. Chillrend did not. At the same time there was a fair amount of drama between another EP guild and our own and it was less than fun to deal with our own Alliance mates on Chillrend.
We left mid-cycle of Chillrend's second campaign and started fighting on Thornblade. We homed to Thornblade once Thornblade's 30 day cycle reset.
let me translate this for you: "we run everytime there's even the slightest bit of competition. now that the best guilds in the game moved to chill we have moved with IR back to thorn to farm the crappy guild DiE and every pug in the universe that still plays on thornblade"
yeah exActly. i saw crystalized gone from the leaderboards yesterday too.
