I am extremely disappointed that this change made it to live and that none of the great suggestions from the PTS forum were even acknowledged or considered. The Storm Atronach no longer taunts the target it is attacking.
Dunno why anyone would expect a finger waggler to be a tank anyways.

Dont change the game for the small % chance you are in a battle with "multiple SA". I bet this accounts for 1% or less of total encounters so poo poo on that excuse.
Who is allowed to be tanks, then?ThoradinBloodfire wrote: »sorry i like it. Sorcers shouldn't be tanks. You guys are already are OP.

Also, why?
The reason is that some people (mainly trials players) want the storm atronach to be a dps, not a tank.Yeah I wondered why they made this change. I don't use SA any more, but it was a life saver in PvE. Would be interested to hear the reasoning behind this change.
I believe you are vastly misinformed.ThoradinBloodfire wrote: »Maverick827 wrote: »Who is allowed to be tanks, then?ThoradinBloodfire wrote: »sorry i like it. Sorcers shouldn't be tanks. You guys are already are OP.

S&B imo. to uses what exists as a template. Hunter pets were never raid quality tanks, same with lock demons. I like it for solo content, but end game, or near that it shouldn't be.
Class balance. The issue is heavily lopsided toward sorc's. Needs major balance. this is a step in the right direction. You might as well be the Dragonborn. But since it's your class, i can see why you would want the goldlike powers you posess removed. IMO you can do everything really well.
I think the class needs more penalties. Like when casting, if you get hit, your cast time slows. i.e you get dumber. sort of like real life. When i used to train, the saying was whatever level you are, reduce it by a level every time you get hit. Its true. before you know it things that are basic almost become hard. Which is why people train so it becomes instinct. I think casting should be like that. But when you do get spells off, they should be a bit more powerful than they are now.
Why are those people more important? The reason is that some people (mainly trials players) want the storm atronach to be a dps, not a tank.Yeah I wondered why they made this change. This change allows the storm atronach to avoid aggro more easily, so that it can stay alive longer to do more damage.

Let's put it this way -- ZOS intentionally designed a mechanism in which you get a spam message notifying you of trial completion times, so that you are kept well apprised of the glory of trial players. Therefore, they are important because ZOS thinks they are important.Maverick827 wrote: »Why are those people more important? The reason is that some people (mainly trials players) want the storm atronach to be a dps, not a tank.Yeah I wondered why they made this change. I'll be honest, I'm surprised that's all they nerfed. My stormie is my Oh [snip] button. I drop that thing on nastie's heads and it's over, every time.
Don't get me wrong, I love having him the way he is and don't want any changes, but I'm shocked he hasn't been nerfed harder. I expect the day will come, sooner than later, he will be nerfed again.
Hopefuy they can learn from every other MMO in history* and not pander to the 1% before it's too late.Let's put it this way -- ZOS intentionally designed a mechanism in which you get a spam message notifying you of trial completion times, so that you are kept well apprised of the glory of trial players.
