    Nothing has changed on my computer, I could play fine before server migration, after it is impossible.

    The amount of things I used to do on my old PC to maximize performance on vanilla wow+ would make your head spin, as would the number of tweaks for swtor on this one. Its part and parcel of MMOS that there are certain tweaks devs don't adapt that work well. I'll admit Zenimax cant patch and it shouldn't be up to you but it is and someone even laid out a solution for you so why not at least try if you want to play?

    LOL if you give up that easy then off with you. If you have read or tried anything in this thread then you will realize that it is a local setting on your PC/Connection that is causing you to drop out. How about trying a few fixes and stop whining!!

    Go away fanboi. Before server migration I, like many others never had an issue. After server migration, I, like many others cannot stay logged in. None of us have changed anything, how is it our fault suddenly?
    Of course, ZOS seem to be taking the fanboi view too, since it is over a week with nothing being said or done beyond the usual "We are looking into it".
    It's people like you that allow MMO publishers to get away with such sub par service.

    Fair enough your single minded approach just about sums it up. It was fine before migration but is not now. "I have not changed anything...ZOS Fix it".

    Oh wait you are no longer connecting to the same server, I know nothing about the Interwebs or how it works so its someone elses problem.

    I click play and thats about the extent of the work I have to do. If that is your approach I suggest console gaming.

    The point is we shoudnt be fixing zenimax bugs. That is what they are paid for. They could easily apply this registry patch with an update. We know and they know this is a tcp packet issue through euro networks.

    Can it be more fun than this?
    After the server move EU I couldn't play for 5 days, 8 people in ZOS were on the case.
    I finally found the solution myself and had at last 1.5 day no errors at all.
    (solution was in Dos to set the congestionprovider=ctcp iso none)
    Imagine my morale.
    Today patch day, sadly back to start like in Monopoly. The new version of the error.
    So ZOS?
    -how many repairs should I do now?
    -how many DNS flush?
    -are the port forwarding still the same? IPconfig etc...
    -how many Game Consultant files should I send you this time?
    -how many Host files?
    - Yes my add-ons are disabled.
    -and yes i log on as administrator.

    Don't let you fool by all the settings they ask its their network "specialist" who don't master their job... from all the games that are out there, how many had a similar problem... I can't recall any.

    Until they read the posts of people finding solutions and include those in the game settings i would recommend you to use Tweakmaster.
    After download open and just use the Connection Optimaization Wizard and use the first choice and you will be able to play.
    The program tweaks DOS and Hkey Local Machine Settings.
    You can try it for 30 days and maybe by that time bright brains copy/include the solution into the game.

    Using the Connection Optimization Wizard in TweakMaster makes my computer hang on boot (hangs infinitely on the windows logo with the drive access led flashing).
    Yet I am able to play on the NA server. Do I really have to switch to the NA server and start over from scratch even thou I live in EU?

    I would try and boot into a clean boot and then running TweakMaster afterwards if you are freezing up on the windows logo.

    Also if you are trying Rastapasta solution from command prompt set it to run as administrator before opening cmd.exe, not sure if it will make much difference but certain commands cant be completed in a normal profile.

    **What type of internet connection are you using(Wired/Wireless/Mobile tether/Satellite/Cable etc.)

    Exactly so, and the more people come up with workarounds for Zenimax's problem, the less chance there is that Zenimax will bother to fix their problem.

    Actually, all those little workaround "solutions" people come up with can only help the Zenimax folks to actually find what causes it.

    and it may very well be a local problem since not everybody is affected by it.
    if everybody was affected it would make it much easier to
    a. point the blame at zeni and
    b. find a solution, since the problem would be much more obvious...

    but sure.. go ahead and call me a fanboi and refuse to try the stuff that seems to work for other people... you are in the right, since the customer is always right, and the others can play...

    Yes, it may well be a local problem, but the point is it's a local problem caused by Zenimax when the servers were migrated, so it's still a problem they must fix. Before migration, no problem, after migration instant Unknown Error boot to login screen.

    Apparently they still are no where near finding a solution to this problem.

    Just got this response from customer support.
    - What is your ISP?
    - Have you contacted your ISP?
    - Are you connecting from a MAC or a PC?
    - Have you performed all port forwarding and exceptions to antivirus, firewall and spyware software?
    - Have you uninstalled any add-ons?
    - How long can you stay logged into the game before this error occurs?
    - Do you crash to your desktop or do you stay in the game with this error?
    - What are you doing when this error pops up?
    - Are you willing to be contacted by our Network Ops team for further investigation?

    Today i had this problem too after the guild bank fix. The funny thing is, with my main char i could not play because of the unknown error, with my alt it was not a problem. The problem disappeared after i had enabled the game profile in Kaspersky AV. Maybe it will help some people here.

    There are left 24 days in my trial version of tweakmaster. That's exactly my remaining time in ESO if they don't fix this or find a viable solution without 3rd party programs.

    Any one has already a working solution without Tweakmaster?

    Didn't know you need to be a subscriber to post here...

    So I sub again, after I erased the game till the last bit and made a fresh install.
    But its not changing, the Error is back straight away in all his glory.
    Installed tweakmaster again to be able to play for the next 30 days.
    I even got a couple of Errors with TWMaster now, during a 5 hours play session.
    Probably due to the server lag, average Fps less than 26 lol.

    Choose the trial obviously and install it. Afterwards select the wizard and try out the several optimisation wizards.     Still on and its been 20 mins...looking good :)
    Im going to post this to ESO support because obviously they haven't read it and they cost me 3 weeks of lost paid time :/

    The problem is tweakmaster is not free and you have to pay quite hefty money to continue using it after trial month. We all hoped they could analyse what was causing these problems network connection-wise and how tweakmaster fixed it so we would't be forced to buy that 3d party program to be able to play the game but it is silent on it so my guess is we will have to...

    Hi guys,
    I just got a great guy from the Elder Scrolls team in Ireland call me <finally!> and he really helped me out. I tried Tweakmaster but knew in a couple of weeks It would stop working as I ain't paying an outside company to solve said issue. It turns out that tweakmaster only changes a certain registry key value on the 1st solution try. Anyway after having to beg like a dog to the US night staff I got Matt from Ireland on the phone. The guy was calm, concise, to the issue and solved it for me in under 24 hours! I changed the key <after uninstalling tweakmaster> and BAM no more UNKNOWN ERROR!!! Not only that he noticed some errors in my usb wireless card that had been causing me to get kicked every 10-30 minutes <which is why I hadn't done much group or pvp> and after a driver update I can play almost full-time but it still sometimes prangs with too much data going in and out said dongle.
    So in the end, after a agonising wait it DID get sorted for me!!!!
    I'm about to go wired which I think will get me fulltime. As angry as I am I'm just happy to be back. But I have learned one important thing and that is THE US NIGHT TEAM BLOW AND SHOULD JOIN THE MUPPETS!!

    Same for me the issue is now solved by altering a regedit key value.

    Since not everyone is familiar with that I leave this to the ZOS to help you out.

    Important:
    -you need to log on as administrator.
    -uninstall TWM and restart PC
    -change the the hotkey value and again restart PC
    -done.

    Can we have some specific details on how to resolve this issue? I'm still using tweakmaster to play and haven't received any mail from zenimax on how to resolve this. Please post a step by step guide of what we should do after uninstalling tweakmaster.

    Yup. We aren't stupid. The game is screwed up and it is your fault. Own it. Be a man, Zenimax. I think if you guys just squared off and said "my bad, we'll fix it and give you some free game time" that's all it would take.
