Our stance is that we answer what questions we can as we come across them, or as they're sent to us. If our team sees a question we're able to answer on a site we have an official account on, we answer it. We also read quite a few sites in addition to the official forums.

We do consider the official ESO forums our priority and primary site for communication, but that doesn't mean we won't answer a question on Reddit, MMORPG.com, TESO Elite, or any other fansite we have a presence on just because it isn't our official forums. You'll notice we always post big updates here, such as the Templar and Stamina skills updates we shared last week. If you compare our posts here via the dev tracker, you'll find we post significantly more on the official forums than anywhere else combined; suggesting otherwise is simply not true.

The reality is, there may be times we post an answer to something elsewhere before we do here. It isn't us showing preferential treatment; rather, that is simply where we happened upon the question first.

The issue is that you respond on other sites but do not and will not move that info here.
If nothing else have a dev tracker for offsite info because as is, many of us don't feel informed on this site.

The real reality is probably that people from Reddit ask easier questions and people here keep asking tough ones such as loading issue, game breaking mechanics or class balance that ZOS can't or doesn't want to face upfront.

    CATS!!! ERMERGERD!!!!

It is painfully obvious you have not spent time on the elderscrollsonline subreddit.
Anything who have would see there is a HUGE difference in tone and behaviour. No wonder they prefer talking there.

I dont play Reddit or Twitter or even Facebook. I play this game and ALL communications should be on this forum or in game only.

I just don't care for the Reddit tools. Posting pics in-line is impossible. Posting lists is a pain.

With the IC update the entire reason the console community did not know about the skill reset was becaue it was only posted in the forums. I agree that there should be in-game information for major patches and updates. If ZOS had updated the console's entrance page or sent out an in-game email to all players then the skill reset would have not been an issue. Instead, their lack of communication has caused them to reconsider the skill reset. ZOS is entirely to blame for console players not knowing about the skill reset, and their solution to remove the skill reset ignores the real problem: a lack of proper communication in-game.

As long as you continue to post on reddit and other places people will continue to put their info there. If you post everything on your official forums you will have it all in one place. If they want to talk to you they should come to your forums. It's not fair to fair to you having to run all over the place for communication, and it's not fair to us having to run all over the place trying to hear the communication.

The worst part about this is how low tier reddit is. Discussing ZOS in a negative way is basically against the rules and talking about game mechanics is usually forgone to talk about frolicking around with the fox pet.

Given that these are the official forums, it would be handy if all replies to significant questions elsewhere were copied into a stickied thread here. By checking both that and the Dev Tracker we would be abreast of all official responses. I doubt, however, that it could be managed within the Dev Tracker alone.

Again, i repeat this for emphasis because of the number of comments discussing how great that the redditers treat zos. Dissent is basically against the rules on Reddit and anyone who wants to say something the tiniest bit critical of the game on Reddit has to first qualify their beliefs with how great the game is, how they definitely aren't complaining, and how they really, really, don't want to be down voted for discussing an actual issue rather than another fanboyism.

Somehow I doubt this; if true, however, it would make ZoS look neglectful and evasive to its playerbase - not a good way to build player confidence.

Reddit is a good forum in general, but the ESO reddit doesn't have the traffic as the official forums any more.

Usually if you like your customers you talk to them and deal with them directly. Unless you have orders from the top not to so. Who knows. Maybe they want to keep things official here so over there they can be more themselves.

Well, maybe if the Reddit community didn't show a consistent ability to be more thoughtful and respectful in their replies than this community, ZO would probably spend more time here.

It's not like the devs ever gave these forums a chance. And I think your assumption of Reddit as being filled with thoughtful and respectful replies quite humurous. :)

Being kept in the dark kind of makes people a bit agitated.

The sad reality is that Reddit is a more thoughtful and respectful environment than this forum. Think about that for a moment. This community is outclassed by Reddit. That should make you agitated.

That is not true, over there they have people that down vote certain people so their posts never really get seen. If they would remove that those forums would be just like this one.

But saying that it just proves that ZoS just don't care about the people that help pay their bills. You guys can't see that from all the questions asked in "Ask Us Anything" that has never been answered?

Wake up smell the coffee we are nothing to them. Why you think they laugh so much during ESO Live!
