Yep, I knew what I was getting from the beta. It's an awesome game with a few glaring faults that are currently getting fixed.

My only regret was not buying Imperial Edition.

I think the game has a healthy population and come September when most issues would be addressed (and the Summer and the World Cup are over) I expect it to increase even more.

Let's just hope they new PvP campaigns don't exacerbate lag issues

Do not misunderstand my vote, I like the game. I would not buy it because if I could go back in time, I would use my knowledge of the future to get rich, then use that money to start a game development company and build my own game that was exactly what I wanted.

Here a happy player living her virtual life in Tamriel. And a lucky one, I guess: playing since beta, I've seen no major issues so far, no latency, no lag, no broken quest... only minor bugs easily fixed by a reload UI or relog.

Dont get me wrong , while i complain about ESO , when it comes to balance/bugs/lack of repeatable/lvling content for solo players... Those things only refer mostly to the longevity of the game.

I think i got my money worth on this game when it comes to my run doing quests solo up to the vet10 , i like the story and factions, it was all worth it to know more about TES lore.

Still , if the game remain unbalanced and with a lack of content for me to do now that i have finished the quests , i will leave , just like i also eventually stop playing single player games i have completed also.

Roll a sorc or DK now you can level to vr12 in less then 3 days. I almost have them all at VR12 now.

If the game is so awful you wouldn't buy it now why are you still playing?

I don't get it, even if you bought a long term subscription, which no one forced you to, if its not fun to play why are you still playing?

I'm saying yes because the only disappointing part is that the console version is not out which is why I purchased this for PC after PC BETA. I only wanted to play this on PC to determine if I would buy the console version.

I was not happy with the PC experience in April but its better now.
-I do wish the console conversion was no cost to own the console version if I already own and play the PC version. No idea why I wouldn't just pay $15 for another subscription.

I am a VR8, DW NB Vamp, and I would buy the game again. I am enjoying VR content (I think because I am not leveling alts so everything is "new" to me and does not feel like a grind that others seem to find with VR content).

I am LvL 50 in Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Clothing, Alchemy, and Provisioning. I am working on leveling my Enchanting.

I have 5 traits left before I am 8 trait on all Woodworking items.

Blacksmithing and Clothing are taking longer, with my primary focus on Med Armor since I am an NB, but I am looking forward to maxing those at 8 trait each as well.

With a few minor issues, this game has been great so far, and I am looking forward to continuing to play future release content.

Abso-freaking-lutely I'd buy it again. In fact, I'd buy the physical Imperial Edition with the super-cool book again. The statue of Molag Bal is nice, but that book is where it's at. I don't regret buying it for a second, and I don't regret my 6 month sub for a second. There are issues with the game - things that need to be tweaked, things that need to be fixed, content that needs to be added. I'm still having a blast with all 16 of my alts, though.

Now, I haven't hit Vet content yet (leveling 16 alts takes time), and I know that's where a lot of people really have issues with the game, but I've still had my money's worth from the game. Heck, my main is currently level 42, so it won't be too long until he's vet (depending on how much I play him compared to how much I play my others - right now I'm concentrating on getting 5 lvl 18-19 alts all to lvl 20, and 7 lvl 10-11 alts all to lvl 12), but I don't even know if I'll start playing any vet content until all or most of my alts are there. At a minimum I think I'll complete all 3 pacts before I start doing vet content.

Rignt now I mostly have fun and enjoy the game because I like the stories, crafting, and PvE. I thought after level 50 we'd be spying on the other factions, not just doing their same stories like our alts can do. Like 3 unique longer stories. But I'm ok just doing my alts.

Gaming for me is mainly adventure and puzzle games, going back to Myst and before. I've tried some MMOs but played The Realm, Matrix Online, and Fallen Earth the longest. MxO I started pre-launch and watched it go downhill and die, then pre-launched with Fallen Earth looking for something to replace it (now F2P).

I'm hoping ESO has a long run and stays fun for me.

No. Completely not. This game has been exactly what I thought was not going to be. This is not Elder Scrolls. This is just a game that uses the name Elder Scrolls to sell.

It is sad for me, because Im a hard TES fan and I REALLY wanted to like this game. But due to veteran ranks stupidity, lack of immersion, lack of TES feeling...I have just cancelled my sub.

About graphics, and artistically is good, sometimes very good. But I have no fun, plus I don't really feel I'm playing a TES game.

mediocre ES game, worst MMO i've played.

I wouldn't say it's mediocre, the real word is "different". This MMO is much better RPG than all others ever made, this is what makes it special for me.

I can understand there are some that don't like it for the very reason it doesn't feel much like others, doesn't play like the others. It's actually sharing very few similarities with other MMOs.

My question is, why do you even bother playing something different?

Please just go back to your MMO, I'll continue playing my MMORPG.

I sometimes wonder if that what folks who defend incompetency want to see. Can see no other logical reason for doing so.

Edit: Considered one more reason folks might staunchly defend incompetency - they may not know any better (i.e. folks for whom ESO is their first MMO experience).

No MMO has ever been perfect at launch. So far with the added content and the pace they are adding it is just fine. Some games take a few moths for a simple patch to fix minor bugs. As far as new content some take half a year for small changes.
We can't expect the game to have everything we all love from other MMO's. Plus all the content from the single player stuff all rolled into one. Like all MMO's this takes time to work out the kinks and add new content.

to be perfectly honest: no. why? because ZOS 'lied' to me by showing black haired Altmer during their promotional materials. I'm playing black haired Altmer for 11 years and I have no plans to change it. To some it might seem unimportant, but imagine bonding with your favourite character for 11 years only to find out that during character creation there is no black hair colour option. 3 more after launch and this bug is still not fixed. to some of you, what I say may look silly, but just imagine: 11 years, false advertisement, purchase. it sums to some pretty bad mood ball.

*Disclaimer: The only reason I pre ordered was to be able to play any race in any alliance. I knew the game was going to have a lot of technical issues out of the gate and honestly wanted to wait 6 months or whatever so that I have could have the smoothest game play possible.

So my answer is kind of yes & no. Yes, at some point I would have bought it. In hindsight it wasn't worth the flexibility to play any race in any alliance and I should have just waited. I think I would have had a better experience overall. It's a beautiful looking mmo though with lots of TES goodies so how could I resist.

    $320

I paid $320 for 4 early release copies I bought my 2 sons, my wife and myself. Both sons who have been playing in shooters and mmos for 12 years. They both quit ESO in the first month.

Thanks for asking, because I called my oldest son up to tell him to cancel his and his brother's accounts. They quit the first month and I haven't brother cancelling their accounts. So that's over $500 I have invested into a game I see that has potential if you include the 4x monthly fees.

I consider this game to be one without a real direction. Is it PvE or PvP? Looking at how most people bailed from the start because of the Frontiers PvP copy and paste (granted most don't even know it). The poll taken yesterday being overfilled with PvE players. ZOS can focus on improving PvP and improving a repetitive leveling system (doubt that) to get the masses back or focus on keeping those who are here.. You have to admit. Those defending this game and asking questions like.. why are you still here then? Will most likely be happy with anything.

To make sense of that for you. I'm already invested into this for my entertainment. I even came out of mmorpg retirement to give Matt Frior a chance. I'm a rare older mmorpg fan with a very small chance of seeing anything I enjoy ever again. I realize that and left the genre. I didn't like EQ or WoW raiding, BoP, need a group or suck your thumb mmo style. I wanted UO, DAoC have fun and kill other players who like to kill other players, craft ,do what you enjoy to make your gold to buy and craft gear for PvP.

I'm waiting to see which direction this game goes. I can accept it humbly and move on if they want to pump in WoW PvE and believe Cyrodiil is enjoyable for the masses. You have to admit. Making VR mobs harder and now weaker... They're still tweaking the leveling system. Those are beta decisions and send a message that they're not ready to focus on end game. If you played DAoC, you'd realize there isn't any creativity in Cyrodiil. Its a copy paste job. Now consider this. They're tweaking leveling mobs, coding for console, how long before they have the focus and manpower to pull the entire direction of the game out of limbo? Because that's what Im here waiting for.

I have 4 low VR characters. I still have time to get there. I'm doing it on purpose. It's disheartening to consider that after I get there to VR12 they're gonna focus on PvE and let Cyrodiil stand. I'd like to know the state of the game and the direction they're gonna go.

Would buy again, enjoyed getting to VR in the first area, enjoyed experiencing areas 2&3 as well (barring a few fights), enjoyed PvP although the campaign has gone very one sided since they cycled... but ad a result enjoying doing Cyrodiil dolmens, dungeons, quests & shards with reduced gank fear.

Am now enjoying doing all the group content as well and some day soonish will go and tackle Craglorn, probably will enjoy that too.
