If you could go back in time would you buy this game or not?

    I would buy it.
Had lots of fun times in this game. It's broken now, and I just unsubbed, but I am not giving up my hopes. AoC turned out absolutely great once it overcame it's initial problems, and just like that game this one seems to be a case of Premature Release. If Funcom could make AoC playable in less than a year, then ZOS should be able to get ESO up and running in just a few months.

    Until then, I lurk.

Its a difficult question for me to answer.

To me the game from VR on is great, but could need a bit more variety at VR 12 (more open world quests, like in the VR zones 1-10, hard challenges and especially a housing system).

I don't raid, so seeing that no non raid content has been added is a bit of a "uhm" feeling for me due the experience with other MMO´s that also promised the world and then turned the dungeon grinder mode on with nothing new but dungeons and raids.

From 1-50 the game is a bit too easy I think, its hard to group as nobody needs anyone except for the events - this is a big issue in MMO´s for me. I want to meet and play with others, else I would play a singleplayer game. The VR´s offered all this, but this might be history now due the vocal minority here :(

The lack of multi thread support is also unquestionable one of the biggest issue´s still three months in the game, so you have to wonder will it ever be fixed?

In general the idea´s, the design of the game are still great and we will see what happens today with the nerf and future content. Right now I would probably still buy it as I am a very optimistic person, but the bad feeling in my tommy still persists due things that were announced in the past days :(

    I would buy it.
I unsubbed due to FPS drop issue which was way too much. But I do not regret the purchase. I did have over 500hours of fun for the money.

Only difference I would do: I would not buy Imp. Edition. I would go for standard + horse

I hope they fix the issue and introduce non vet campaigns so I can get back :-)

I only touch TESA when I lived in South Korea. Did not find in ah compared to ESO.

I would buy it, because is an awesome game, having clocked already more hours played than on any ES before.
(main character is around 1000 hours playtime by now and has barely scratched the surface)

Also there is nothing out there to play that comes close to TESO. Even the good old DAOC that played 11 years, looks pants compared to TESO. (and I refer to both PvE and PvP)

And I have faith in ZoS, because not only they do listen to the community, but they are quick compared to the rest.

Mythic took 5 years to fix the Champions and Thanes. ZoS fixed the Templar in 8 weeks.

What this game needs, is less AvA campaigns and more capacity on the existing ones to make the battles bigger. Fixing the teething issues with some class abilites that are OP.

eg DK scales ability that allows a player to take 18000 damage, and not being able to scratch him.
Vampire Mist form, should have a cooldown of 5-6s, before they use an Ultimate. Because "Bat swarm bombs" are everywhere, right now.

Other than that, the rest are teething problems.

course I would buy it. I mean it dosent have the same immersion as skyrim you know people running around dungeons with you and monsters spawning after 30 seconds, no lonely mountains roads to traverse or scary dungeons. but its still an addictive game

If I count the amount of hours passed having fun in that game compared to the average amount of time I'm having fun in a single player game, for the same price. It is an excellent investment, around 7-8x h/$ of entertainement.
    I just love chaos!

If this poll was during my first month of game play my answer would be no. Since then, I have grown to love this game a lot more.
Took a couple of weeks away from the game to refresh myself (so to speak); came back & have not looked back.
A lot of quest related bugs are fixed. Not many bots around - if any now. No more gold spamming emails.
Sure there are still issued to be addressed but I have faith these will be ironed out given time.

Think I hit the wrong poll option...oops lol

had some moments first weeks of game with some irritations but since all those have been cleared up and I have found what I like to do in game (solo pvp quest storyline mainly with some grouping) then most definitely yes. looking forward to the other factions stories now

Hell yea, i would do it a million times over. Why the action. When have u ever been able to do that roll in an mmo? Never.. This game is going to be the game. We all see it but they ran out of money. It is cool I am here to get them on track 15 dollars at a time. To think this game cannot be you are fooling yourself. When I can block with my shield and have live action u best believe I will sponsor. If u ever played an elder scroll u know they have a line up still to come. WoW I played for 9 1/2 years I tell you this one has it. Ppl or reviews talk $&@! But do you not see a great game in the making. Drog signing off. No more comment on this subject.

Actually Tera Onlines Combat system is where ZOS got the idea from. TERA Online was the first MMORPG to have a "True Action "Targetless" Combat system, and it still trumps ESO by a mile (In more then one area). Tera Online is unfortunately even as an F2P game a much higher quality and more professionally designed MMORPG, then ESO in it's current state.

Yeah, I don't know why that guy was saying that ESO is the only mmo with rolling, or why that's so special. The Secret World and Neverwinter have similar combat styles, both with separate action pools that don't diminish the resources you need to use other skills and spells. So does WildStar. I guess you could even count WoW if you're talking the Monk class. Action and avoidance mechanics in MMOs are nothing new.

I'd go back in time WITH the installed game on a disc and tell them "Here are the updated patches! You'll have a smoother release. Now fix the other bugs!"
