Well, lets face it, without the frontflap half the playerbase would zoom in to see if those hotpants are as tight as they look. Purely out of of an interest for tailoring of course.
I don't think it would be a half of player base... But even if they are, so what? It's 18+ game... If someone wants one may run around without any clothes at all.
Also, we have shorts in game. Like the one from Zero Legion (from IC) or Agronian, for example. You can put them on without that flap.
If there was a half of player base zooming zero legion pants I have missed the result...

MS will not micromanage ESO or any other product. By every indication we can see, ESO has been growing every year even before this COVID mess. If revenue growth is even just half of that MS will not want to rock that cash cow for such a small part of the game.
actually according to steam charts (small % true) greymoor saw no player spike, and in fact only saw a decrease of players that had built up before its launch.
i felt like greymoor kind of flopped, but the numbers back it up. kinda disappointing.

There is a weird workaround that illustrates why we should be able to upload in all forums.
1. Open a draft new discussion in a forum where you can upload images.
2. Upload your image. This will produce an image URL through the forums.
3. Copy-paste that image URL to the thread/reply where you can't upload images. Save, but don't post your draft discussion.
That should give you the uploaded image, like so:
(If you need to see what the uploader image URL looks like with the BBCode, you can see it in the text editor if you quote this post.)

Most of the time Harrowstorms and Dragons are dead areas. Yesterday I visited N.Elsweyr to farm the lunar phases lead and there were 3 Dragons spawned and 0 battles taking place. And when a battle finally started, we were 4 people against the dragon.
Rather than thinking in terms of specific items and/or gear, maybe the better option is Currency. Farm Dragons/Storms for telvar or AP or some new currency to be able to buy stuff from a vendor. Maybe the PvE player would have more interest in joining in PvP IF they could get access to PvP gear First - just to be competitive.

Solo PvP does not equate to RunvX.
Solo play is frustrating, but only if zergs make 90 degree turns to run you over. Chasing battles isn’t difficult once you know how. Same for soloing resources, 1v1s, repping walls, placing your own siege. That is solo pvp.
Run v Xers are just there to waste your time. Once they start running around a rock/tower I ride away. I can retake that resource once they get bored and go looking for AP to cheese.

1vX are using very specific builds, designed to buff their defense and survivability. There are sets which drastically increase offensive capabilities, after taking damage for a period, and that is one of the ways they can also deal damage.
The skill use within the build is also vital, these folks are using specific skills, in specific situations, that keep them alive or offer huge burst damage in combination with the sets I eluded to earlier.
Also, speed buffs with line of sight mechanic exploitation. You may think 6 people are doing damage to them the reality is its probably less cos they are line of sighting, dodging, blocking etc.
Frankly I find the 1vX playstyle deeply boring for anything more than a short spell. I also find it quite immersion breaking, cos 1 player running around a stone for 10 mins chassed by 6 or more people who cant kill them, is just silly. But each to their own.
I like to break those up
A nice bow gank followed by bow ulti, executed in quick succession, at a point when the 1vXer drops lower on health, as they do periodically before regaining quickly... but you time it right, its good bye 1vXer and its incredibly satisfying

"No one accuses the Irish farmer of exploiting as he farms potatoes. Can the farmer farm 10 potatoes? Yes, he is a potato farmer and has learnt all there is to know about farming potatoes!
Can the potatoes farm the farmer? No they are potatoes. Can a farmer farm a farmer? Maybe, how about 2 farmers? Most likely!
The moral of the story is it's better to bring a potato farmer to a potato farming event and don't be upset if you are potato being farmed at a potato farming event."
Most the time you are killing people far less skilled than yourself. These are easily found in a pug and even more so in an event.

Blocking (massive damage reduction)
Roll Dodge (window of invulnerability essentially)
HoTs (Artic blast, living trellis, passive healing via animal line passive)
If you were attacking me, I run SnB back bar, so if you're using spells I can reflect them with defensive posture. I can use the ult for 6+ seconds of massive damage reduction. Combined with HoTs and a spot heal ill go right back to full health.
Also if you're attacking me, you netter have either high damage or proc sets. Essentially if you're not running a dedicated PvP build you won't be dealing enough damage.
Without LoS a player has a hell of a time 1vX decent players
