So I recently left World of Warcraft and am a new player to Elder Scrolls Online. I have been having a terrible experience with dungeons in this game. I mean, here's my experience. I have been joining groups to do dungeons, it takes awhile to even get a group, then when I do get a group, there is always one player that just leaves the group and runs to the last boss forcing the "Joining Encounter in Progress" mechanic and I am beamed to the end and it's over. This is the worst I have played on any mmo.
It seems to me that I represent a hopefully decent amount of players, meaning "the New Player". Seems to me ESO and the community would want/encourage new players. But I don't know, if ESO has been out for like 10yrs and this has never been addressed, then maybe no one wants the real new player.
Is this a problem for anyone else?
I'm sure I am not the only one to post on this. I wish there was an option to select in the "join" page that click for speed run or click for players who want to enjoy the scenery. Also, at the end, everyone leaves the group, leaving me with a very short timer and I get kicked out of the dungeon. I don't have time to go back and do anything. If the dungeon is an instance, why does it matter if I want to run around an explore? It shouldn't be hurting lag. That's like saying all the housing is hurting lag, housing is it's own instance too.
Joining guilds isn't great either, so that isn't an viable option. The devs are the best option to fix this type of thing.
Anyway, it's just my one, humble, single drop in the bucket, new player experience and it wasn't fun. Will probably search for something else.
