This is a weird one, I see this -sentiment- brought up in different paradoxical ways over the years. But if we actually look at gameplay from before 2020, it's almost night and day difference. A constancy: the gameplay over the last 6 years has only gotten faster and -faster-. Arcanist was designed as "low cpm" but actual gameplay pvp & pve group content is all FAST FAST FAST and very twitchy-reflex like apm. If zos is trying to lower the apm, they are doing something severely wrong for the past 6 years... lol.

I have no problem with weaving, even in 2014 where light attack > skill > repeat in perfect sequence was an enigma for the vast majority of players, I had caught onto that kind of flow from the very beginning of the game just organically figuring it out. But I am seeing a pattern with the downfall of this game's combat feel, catering to this higher apm. Or maybe it's all the proc-sets making it feel like that, either way the actual flow of combat has gotten significantly faster and bloated compared to pre 2019. Little elephant in the room I rarely see brought up in discussions around here. People complained about animation cancelling, but I had no issue watching my opponents and understanding what they were doing in their offense and defense against me. Now-adays it's just "noisy" and blurred with multitude of visual effects and proc-sets firing off in tandem from just a single player, let alone multiple. And this noise extends to PvE, in raids via all the players, and even the npc mechanics and abilities. Very noisy and overly flashy to the point that counter-play is so obfuscated. Just in time for consoles to get all the relevant pve notification addons!

I would have had it where you fight increasingly harder enemies and waves the longer the event goes on and the closer you get to 100%. Half of Solstice would be invaded with worm cult mobs instead.

More variety of activities instead of just a reskin incursion. Some sort of King of the Hill,Control, Defense battles where you fight increasing waves of enemies around a zone and the longer you hold the zone or objective you would get more points or something. Something like the Anka Ra's sites in Craglorn but longer and harder eh eh...

I would keep most of the dailies as is but obliviously better rewards as there is no reason to repeat any of the quests after you get the golden boxes and certainly not after the first 2 or 3 days.

ZOS: Merchants are available in the crown store!

The fetch quests having to collect fat, furs, essences and saps from enemies was poorly designed. There are usually like 10+ players in each of these areas that the game suggests and the enemies don't spawn back fast enough. So you have to wait unknown amount of minutes for them to respawn or run around like a madman like the other players trying to find and get a counted kill on a mob somewhere else in the suggested area. And even if you do get the kill the chances for the loot needed to complete the quest doesn't always drop from the mob. I had to kill 20+ skeletons before the essences start to drop randomly from the Cath Bedraud area in Glenumbra. Also people that have Heavy Attack/Oakensoul builds are one shotting the low health enemies, so if you try to light attack there is no chance it will count as a kill for yourself.

And then you have 7 more similar quests to complete if you want to complete after that for the other types of materials needed to be picked up. Not saying it isn't a bad quest to do, but just poorly designed. It needs some work. Would suggest to kill enemies that are part of World Events around Tamriel, like the dolmens, harrowstorms, geysers, mirrormoor mosaics, volcanic vents, etc.

They realized it was starting to look like there was zero chance anyone would end up actually unlocking the rest of the content they paid for and panicked lol

For starters, add another wayshrine and move them closer too the camps.place a merchant in the camp for repairs

I have no interest in a Winterhold expansion and have little interest in Nords.

Quite interested in Solstice however, and the differences in the Argonians and Altmer there.

Personally I would love to go check out Winterhold so I guess “we” is applicable. 🤷‍♂️

Solstice is a boring rehash of reused assets, and not exactly representing either culture respectfully. Instead of actually combining the themes to make something new they just placed existing assets side by side and we paid them for it with the Content Pass… we can do the exact same thing with housing.
