Drive away 90% of the player base so 12 guys can have a power fantasy? That's a dead game. As much as I hated seeing ground oils go back in 2014, I still had to admit there's no way the game could survive if 1 sweaty player abusing weird mechanics could solo wipe an entire 24 raid.Urzigurumash wrote: »"We hate zergs, we hate noobs"
Yet here we are with 12 guys stomping 60+ by abusing weird mechanics the 60+ don't understand, and the game is dead. Who would've thought. It was also a huge mistake to cater to the "we hate siege" crowd because balanced siege engines would be exactly how smaller zergs beat bigger zergs or ball groups, ground oils did that a bit too well.
Catering to comp groups also made winning about outside-game logistics more than on-field combat prowess, yet another major misread on the type of players attracted to Cyrodiil. Casuals and sweaties alike loved the power fantasy they saw in those 1vX vamp mdk demigods back in 2014, the whole group comp thing was niche to serious GvG.
PLEASE give us an option to turn off weapon glow.
So many gorgeous weapons that are unnecessarily obscured by weapon auras/glows for enchantments and poisons.

Honestly, after thinking a LOT about this, most items in the Crown Store shouldn't cost more than 1,000 crowns.
If the prices were more reasonable, I’m sure a lot more players would spend money on the game. A lot more. Most of my friends have that super cheap house that’s available through Steam, precisely because of that.
(But yeah, Zenimax is never going to do a general price reduction, unfortunately.)
No and because people are literally cheering for these prices now, they see its working and people are still buying 😬

Yup.
Spell correctly if you wish to be understood. Every computing device has built-in spelling check and dictionary, as well as access to the internet for the same. There is no excuse for misspelling for native English speakers. Further, the difference between "tatters" and "taters" is significant enough to render a completely different meaning.
Perhaps the necessity for spelling correctly is best illustrated with an example. Suppose you were set upon by a pack of rabid skeevers. Their bites are painful. Would you prefer the skeevers to 'step', 'stoop', or 'stop'?

I really don't say this to be condescending, but I am shook to my very core that anyone could see the difficulty in this game as anything else than a major flaw in game design, let alone describe it as challenging.
I started a new character and played it up to lvl 6 in Stros M'Kai, and I could simply walk past/through huge groups of enemies with no consenquence, walk through all traps and simpy light attack the few enemies I had to kill to complete the quests. I never equipped gear either. Again, what is the point of having enemies, traps ect if they have no possible chance of ever killing you? It's as if enemies and traps in this game are just scenery.
I play a lot of Nintendo games, which are games known for being very accessible even to a much more casual audience. If Nintendo had designed a game this easy it would be a major failure on their part. It's absolutely ridiculous thinking that the current balance does anything to good for newer players, all it does is push them away.

Crazy that there's all this talk about 'engineering the experience' to make the game easier when there's literally a video in my signature that shows a naked, statless, CP-less lvl 3 character standing in front of a bear attacking him for a minute and a half before it manages to kill him.
That's the default, intended experience of TESO's overland I guess.
