PTS Patch Notes v9.1.4
The Elder Scrolls Online v9.1.4 is the final PTS patch before Update 39 launches on August 21 and contains bug fixes for some Arcanist abilities, housing, some game crashes, and more. The size of this final patch is approximately 207MB.
Arcanist
- Herald of the Tome
- Fatecarver: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs did not properly interact with interrupts between the lock out duration and immunity behavior, after being affected by an interrupt.
- Curative Runeforms
- Remedy Cascade: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs did not properly interact with Interrupt's lock out behavior and immunities.
General
- Fixed an issue that caused the Apocryphal Well furnishing Leads to be harder to acquire than intended.
Quests
- Keeper of the Fate: All Plague-Gusher’s abilities now have proper public-facing names in the death recap.
Item Sets
- Fixed an issue where certain Cyrodiil Item Sets would sometimes be available in Item Styles other than your Alliance Faction.
General
- Fixed multiple assets in Auridon around South Beacon that could flicker or disappear when using Occlusion Culling.
- Updated the first background image seen on the login screen.
General
- Fixed an issue where some music or sound effects could drop out when your character was near lots of other players.
Achievements
- Fixed an issue where using Pirharri the Smugler while not in an Outlaw's Refuge could increment the Outlaw's Refuge fencing achievements.
Endeavors
- Fixed an issue where some zones did not have any daily or weekly endeavors.
Fishing
- Fixed an where fishing with Sharp-as-Night could prevent you from reeling in normal fish in fishing holes that do not drop trophies.
General
- Fixed an issue that caused irrelevant keybinds to appear when changing the pathing type of a pathed furnishing in a house.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the game to freeze when attempting to purchase a House Guest or Assistant while previewing its placement in a house.
Homes
- Fixed an issue within Kelesan'ruhn where far terrain fixtures would pop in rather than load in gradually.
- Fixed an issue with the lighting in Shadow Queen's Labyrinth home where the window reflections could pass through walls in certain places.
Furnishings
- Fixed an issue with the "Necrom Window, Framed Exterior" furnishing where it had a small gap on the bottom.
- Fixed an issue with the "Necrom Ceiling, Domed" furnishing where it was missing its exterior geometry, causing it to look very strange in Housing Preview and Placement mode.
- Fixed an issue with the "Necrom Wall, Tall Ornate" furnishing where the asset had visible gaps and texture seams.
- Fixed an issue with the "Necrom Funerary Pyre, Logs" furnishing where your character could float if you walked on its front.
General
- Fixed an issue that caused the client to crash when attempting to leave an area that included a theater scene with sound effects that had not yet completed.
General
- Reduced the number of Anchors required for Fighters Guild dailies from 3 to 1 and Summerset Geyser dailies from 3 to 1.
Alliance War
- Fixed an issue where a fight between Aldmeri Dominion and Ebonheart Pact could incorrectly display a Daggerfall Covenant sword in the map UI element.
Re: Update On Endeavors Resetting Issue
Hi all. Just wanted to follow up here based on some of the feedback. Our intention with highlighting the Endeavor reset issue is to be proactive with the community, noting we are aware of the issue and working toward a solution.
We do not expect players to be monitoring their endeavors in fear of accidentally encountering the exploit, and we'd like to highlight the Endeavor resetting is not a widespread issue and is pretty rare to trigger. In addition, we have a better understanding of the issue and have set up systems on our side to see when someone is specifically exploiting. So if you accidentally run into the issue, you don’t need to worry about having your account actioned.
We are not looking to punish anyone who accidentally stumbles into this, but rather inform the community about an issue we discovered and warn that we will take action on those who take extreme advantage of it (which, again, is not accidental.) We hope this helps to clear up any concerns here. Thanks for your patience and understanding regarding this.

This is why a forum isn't the right place to communicate on these things, just make a centralized news feed on the website from which to post to different channels (when needed with different flavors).
A statuspage wouldn't hurt either, a lot of this stuff can be automated.
I do get why ZOS posts this stuff on social, some people read the forums, but I'm sure most people are on social or other channels anyway.

Just to update everyone on this issue, we are close to completing our investigation and have started unbanning the majority of affected players; only those that we found have exploited maliciously or an excessive number of times will remain banned. Please remember if you come across a game exploit, make your best effort to avoid it and report it to us as soon as possible. Thanks for everyone's patience while we investigated this issue and you can expect an email from our Support Team soon with an update on your account, if you haven't already.
