Do you remember which update changed this? One of my newer characters keeps running into prologue quest givers in banks and guild halls, so it seems like it's not 100% universally the case.

@Hygiliack - other than bumping into Lyris in Riften, you can also grab any prologue starting quest for free from the Crown Store. They have their own separate tab there.

Regular quest givers for prologues are still there. This is about a specific npc and a specific update to them.

It's always interesting because I think there is validity in both aspects of folks' arguments. Obviously there are some things that are barred from existing as "pixels". We can't rip the children of tamriel in twain (Skyrim). Our characters can't exist without underwear (even just on our screen and nobody else's). We can't Pomegranate Banquet with NPCs.
There are some degree of ethics/morals present in virtual environments.

So then where/why does the line get drawn in the ways it does? Why is it acceptable gameplay to rob, murder, and soul traps a bunch of innocent women NPCs in Sentinel? If it's just because it's pixels on a screen and being done to only NPCs why can't players Molag Bal the NPCs too? And why are kids in Skyrim excluded from becoming murder victims, meanwhile players can assassinate a bride by dropping a statue on her at her own wedding?

I've never been able to find a satisfactory answer that explains both viewpoints simultaneously. This obviously is not limited to TES, but it's a huge can of worms and so I tried to keep it relevant.

I can understand why folks may have an aversion to killing pixel animals. I think it's probably good to be aware of the normalization of violence in media. But I also, personally, would say it's better to allocate those feelings of justice into the real world. An hour responding to replies on forums could be an hour spent volunteering at an animal shelter. An ESO+ sub could be a one time donation to a charity.
I find the idea of this is the closest I could get to respecting both viewpoints at the same time. Let the media feel uncomfortable, and use that as encouragement to do good in the non-pixelated world.

This is a really good improvments for the crafters. Clicking on every item is really time consuming process. I realised that when I saved hundreds of glyphes to level up one of my alts and I needed click or chose every single of them...

I think it was in Diablo that we can choose color specific (quality of items) items for deconstructing, ex: only green or blue items to prevent some accidents on the process of deconstruction.

Would be a nice option if we had a select all for deconning items

It's a new system we're all trying to get used to AND there's the anniversary event running, so there's a lot more going on. I think once I have a better sense of how many weeklies I will need to complete to get through all 10 tome pages before the season completes, I'll be better able to pace those activities. To the extent that I can roll ones that overlap with the Anniversary, however, I'll be doing as much as I can while it lasts.

I'd also point out that the first "week" of tome points actually only lasts 4 days, so there's some drive to get things done quickly. We'll see if it changes much when the first full week kicks off.

I was, and in fact we did some runs, all of them successful, and never fail or disband any. The only problem was with players who joined just to troll, but that’s nothing I couldn’t handle with a kick and a replacement.

But no, there’s nothing more to it than that. I just realized how broken Oakensoul is now, unless, yes, there is one "unless": players have enough experience with the game.

I always thought Oakensoul was released to help players learn mechanics and get into the game. At this point, it’s completely useless for both new and veteran players, Oakensoul is completely useless.
And yes, no more exclusive runs, and I’m "disbanding" the guild. There’s no point in keeping it going. New players are kind of “useless” if they use Oakensoul or 2bars, and experienced players aren’t interested in an "exclusive guild for 1bar" builds.
I just tried to create something until I realized how wrong I was.

Anyway, there’s no point in arguing about something where you’ll be right and I was completely wrong.

I really hate how the latest werewolf model looks to be honest. It doesn't look like a werewolf to me. It instead looks like Andre the Giant wearing a wolf pelt and sporting a mullet. It doesn't look mean or imposing to me at all. The model looks like it's stretched vertically and It's just really uncanny.

The current model on the live server looks goofy, and this new one looks ugly. It isn't an upgrade imo, it's a side-grade at most. A pointless waste of a designer's time that doesn't actually make werewolf form any cooler or more appealing visually.

For contrast, here's what a Werewolf from a game called Altered Beast on the PS2 looks like:


Look how much cooler and more menacing it looks. Why is it that a werewolf from a 20 year old, D-tier PS2 game that no one knows about and that was made on a shoestring budget looks better than that one we'll be getting. It's really not a good look for the design team at ZOS.
