They can do this with Mastery.you want to keep class dead for this much time
The inflated crit stats can stay gone forever. Good riddance. But replace them with something that would actually make the class multidimensional, not a burst spec that doesn't burst. Even something like a poison dot synergy (matching the assassin theme) could be cool.
Yeah they need to move nb away from just the niche one trick pony merciless bow proc crit concept.
Bring more damage back to siphoning skills. IMO make siphoning strikes based on hits like it used to with old sap tank brawler back in the IC days.
Move surprise/concealed to shadow. Make surprise attack the flanking damage/stun concept instead of offbalance. Concealed goes back to the invis damage boost and stun. No guaranteed crit or guaranteed sunder.....get rid of that bloat.
Do more with the mark skill for nbs to pick a target to go after instead of just willy nilly offbalance stunning into an undodgeable 25k+ merciless

I wasn't referring to real life societies. I was referring to how we play the game.
For example, I read a thread about how we run Alik'r dolmens on PCNA. Players were confused about us using "x" and "y" and "z" in zone chat for auto invites to the groups. We've done it this way for a very long time but these other players do things differently.
That is the kind of thing I am referring to.

@Urzigurumash 😂
@Prionyx On a serious note though NB is easily the second/third best pure class. It had one shot potential prior to class masteries, now it has even more crit damage.
They increased the NBs crit damage cap, now even on all impen you will be getting hit like you aren’t wearing any crit resistance
Is this a joke? Have you even read the post? You'd never reach NBs crit damage cap + NB doesn't have any burst or "one shot potential"|, stop complaining about NB if it's just a class you don't like and want it nerfed
You will get to the cap quite easily actually. NB was reaching 100% crit damage easily pre subclassing, reaching the new cap will be easy.
Ele sus 10% crit damage
Warden is getting 20% crit damage buff
Arcanist has 20% crit damage buff
Mora’s scribe thesis 12% etc
Monomyth 20%
Possible 18% crit damage buff from champion points
Minor force 10% crit damage
There are way more sources of crit damage I haven’t even included
You need 180%+ crit damage to reach crit cap in pvp atm, you'll never reach it unless you are doing this intentionally which doesn't make sense because other damage buffs would give you more, you'd never reach crit cap in a normal circumstances, please stop trying to get NB nerfed because you don't like the class

IF (and that's a big IF) everyone, as you proclaim, is running the meta in Gray Host (so essentially running the same sets, combined with the same subclass setup), wouldn't that automatically make Gray Host also about skill?
I mean, everyone running the meta would make it rougly the same as Vengeance (same loadout), right?
Everyone is not running the meta. Everyone knows that. When people say that they mean that people in off-meta, niche, or just plain bad builds can go up against someone who they can't win against because they're in a meta set before either player even does anything. Mistakes in builds are much more brutally punished as a result than mistakes in gameplay.
ETA
In the games where builds are less important (or don't have builds), mistakes in gameplay are more important than mistakes in build. The person with the better setup will usually win but if they make an error, the new person can punish them for that mistake and defeat them. In those games, skill is more important than builds.
And that's why I asked the question. You're right, not everyone is running the meta. Our whole guild is not running the meta. Still, we'd rather play Gray Host than watered down Vengeance.
Like I said somewhere earlier, for me there's only 2 things that are a plague on Gray Host. One is critical damage (way too high), the other one is healstacking.

That's just bad game design in a nutshell. That approach is fine for extremely niche content (like Trifectas) but that mindset is terrible for something you can do at level 10. This is peak PvP player privilege and exactly why Vengeance needs to exist.
