I wonder if we'll ever hear from ZOS about this last instance of vengeance. This time around I never saw more than one bar of vengeance population, though I've read that at least a couple factions hit two bars but only in the first couple days, and only while vengeance was the only option. As soon as GH came back essentially nobody played vengeance.

TLDR; You don't need Kevin. Yes.
There are only 4 texture files, low, medium, high, full for population, so low means from 0 to "some number". It has to be "from the lowest number" (which is zero) to "some value" (unknown, probably 40). Full (locks) is population cap (most likely, but this would require confirmation), so most likely:
1 bar = 0-40,
2 bars = 41-80,
3 bars = 81-120
Lock = 120+queue
They can be something different btw, like
1 = 0-20
2 = 21-60,
3 = 61-110
Lock = 111-120+queue

That happened ages ago when they swapped two skills in the NB line.
It's because each level of skill needs a different amount of XP to get to morphable. Assassin's Blade used to be the first skill, so if you morphed it it had a set amount of XP. But then they moved it to the third skill in the line, so internally it was 'missing' XP, which means if you ever removed the morph, you'd have to make up that missing XP.
What this means for the future though is that if ZOS is going to be swapping skills around in lines (like they said with the upcoming Class reworks), then any skills that swap will likely hit these problems.

I don't remember exactly when I left, but I do know it was for a variety of reasons:
- Lack of a feeling of long-term progression (both in PvE & PvP) -> you've got CP, sure, but what's the point past 1500 or so when you max out your power? There's no rewards for going past that or goal to attain. Grand Overlord is also hardly a feeling of progression. What does it give you? Not much of anything other than the notion to other players that you've been playing forever.
- A staggering amount of monetization -> ZOS employs all monetization strategies in place of meaningful rewards in game. Why reward you for completing the EP zones with a cool EP alliance-themed mount when they could just charge you for them instead and give you 75 gold?
- Horizontal progression -> a lot of people like this if you're story-driven, which i was for a while, because you can just explore willy-nilly! It's fantastic. But, there's no feeling of getting more powerful or stronger when everything scales. Then, at some point, things just die if you burp on them. I miss the feeling of wandering into a high level zone and getting rocked. You never knew what was around the corner and it was cool seeing yourself level up, getting more powerful and then coming back to those same mobs and giving them a whooping! To go along with this, i can get some pretty solid gear very quickly, and then what? What am i chasing? Achievements? There's very little reward, so why bother?
- Trajectory of the game -> I'll always love the game for what it gave me happiness-wise, but it's undoubtedly gone downhill quite a bit objectively both in quality of the game and quantity of players playing. Is it dead? No, but is it struggling relative to all years prior? 100%. What's the point of investing in a game that's heading downhill knowing it may be wasted? Would you invest in a stock that's been progressively going down and down in value knowing the people in charge are steering the ship in that direction? No you wouldn't. You'd invest elsewhere.
What would bring me back?
- A massive re-direction of the game progression-wise, reward structure-wise, and a "chilling out" on the monetization - all of which i have little-to-no faith in them doing as of now. Actions speak louder than words and they haven't walked the walk in so long
- My friends playing again
- A huge shakeup in the people steering the ship

You're right. 90% of people play on the epic games launcher right?? It's used as trend data and is ABSOLUTELY relevant. You can assume a relative percentage of players on the ESO launcher, epic, console, etc. are likely doing that as well. Pair this subjectively with how many people in your guild are logged on at any given time. What about cyro population? What about dungeon finder queue times? Let's use our critical thinking here.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom I was thinking about something reading this.
U35 is very often mentioned as a net negative since it happened. It also seems like the patch that introduced Subclassing (U46). When, if ever, is anyone going to speak to this fact? I get you guys can't respond to everything, but it seems like there's a few things that just keep getting brought up, and when you guys talk about how you learn from mistakes in interviews, it doesn't really seem like that reflection manifests in some candid conversation with us. What are your guys thoughts here? Did U35 result in a lower playerbase, did U46?
This would be admitting a mistake, something zos will never do.
Remember the dead silence after U35 broke pve for over a year? Now they're blabbing faster, but its still good old "just wait and trust".

For one thing, bugs.
For months I and a few others have had mouse acceleration issues with no fix.
I have no interest in playing the game when I can't even look around without the camera flipping out on me.
