Enjoyed my first night in NM very much. Don't particularly know why I am there or what I'm doing, but as a healer I got a group very easily and just followed everyone around. Very chaotic, and lots of healing needed, so I was a happy camper.

I feel like we could cut the boss health in half and it's still be fine. This zone is going to be dead when everyone gets their achievements. In future events, it will be deader because there's less achievements to get at that point.

I played about 3hr tonight both as a group and solo. With the group I played as a tank with 3 friends, and as a solo I played on a solo dk build.

With the group setup we were capable of killing all of the bosses we came across in the night market, and the difficulty level to me feels very good, around that of a dlc dungeon. I would honestly neither make it more or less difficult, my only annoyance possibly being an over use of silences.

As a solo player, I also had a good time. I hope ZOS does not balance this zone around people who feel it's too difficult for them to solo, because as they've said, it is meant to be group content. If a player doesn't like group content... then ok, not everything has to be for you specifically. That being said, I found mobs to be at a difficulty level that feel quite fun to solo. So again, I wouldn't want to see the difficulty reduced here.

This is not accurate. Players are not given priority to be instanced with players of the same Faction. There may be fewer players in the Ruckus District right now because folks are prioritizing a different District, but that is not how instancing in the Night Market works. When players enter the main hub and Districts, they join based on when they entered until the zone cap is hit, then a new instance spins up. That's it.

You can say it's not true; but the actual player experience tells a completely different story. I played the Night Market for two hours this evening during prime time on PC NA. I encountered a total of 9 other players roaming the three districts with 4 of those seemingly grouped together and the other 5 being random solo players. There were several instances where I spent 5+ consecutive minutes in the districts without seeing another player. The mobs seem to have a fairly fast respawn rate but even considering that, I did not see dead mobs or empty sections where a pack of mobs had just been wiped. Instancing in the three districts has some major problems which spells trouble for this event if things are this dead on the first day during prime time.

Overall, my first opinion on this opening night is that this is a huge misfire from ZOS as this zone sucks.

So, how long until the apology tour starts for this fiasco? The quest starter doesn't work if you go to the entrance where the map says to go. You can pick up the quest, but no quest marker on the guy, the conversation doesn't progress no matter what you do. Was this written by AI like a lot of other Microsoft owned slop? Come on. What gives?

What is the point in a zone you can't progress solo? What is the point in the wasted dev time to create something very few of your players will be able to enjoy? Why do I pay for ESO plus for this? You claim to be listening to your players, but the same complaints that came up during PTS are coming up now. I don't see much listening going on.

Okay but if those are just style pages, then what is the point of the rewards for the pursuits when they are just going to make them as drops anyways for the Night Market? I cant even sell it because it is character bound on pickup...

Same for me as many others wrote. Was in there for 6 hours, and only one period of about 10 minutes was like the night market I was waiting for. I finally happened to find some people, and I killed a lot of mobs with them, and even one brazen boss. THAT was fun! Then I died and never again found other people in a greater number. So I died and died and died.

I dont't understand how the scaling/phasing of the instances was programmed but there should be some hint for us where it is crowded and where to go. Nearly everyone seemed to be there yesterday. But every time I opened the doors to one of the factions it was a ghost zone. Perhaps there WAS a group of players fighting in every zone. But if I have no clue how to find them I won't continue. I am not the one yelling "lfg", and I hate to group with random without voicechat. I thought it would be like with dolmens: you just go in there, find a zerg, and with some luck can do some quests parallel.

First I tried soloing, but that was taking forever and I soon realized I can get quests done much faster by just dying, getting to the Oasis, then leaping towards my next objective. I don't know if it's a bug or feature, but you can complete quest objectives while still dead. So that allowed me to solo some quests.

I am one of the ones who have been asking for harder overland and this definitely qualifies. Your post made me think, is the new challenge mode going to affect this zone? Complaints about it being too hard by a lot of players, imagine it in Vest. mode.
