What's the difficulty level? Do I need to form a raid for this?
You don't need a true raid group, you just need a group. A pug with someone holding aggro is going to be more than enough. You can also just build tanky and roam around looking for other players in the instance.
Yes it's difficult, but it's far from impossible. Group up and slot some defensive abilities.

You can walk out. There's a door near the house that either takes you to fargrave, with a wayshrine nearby or, if you don't own fargrave/deadlands, takes you back where you were before.eb.annetteub17_ESO wrote: »(PS-NA) Apparently there is no way to leave the Night Market outside of traveling to a home outside of Fargrave from your Collections tab. I was very pleased with it. And everyone who went with me felt the same. All of the stragglers I picked up seemed to like it as well.
There are a couple ways to look at it, but it is designed to be a group zone so that is the best approach. I was able to get around solo very easily 4 ways. 1. Fighting my way through slowly and methodically 2. As a Tank (you can get around safely but cant kill many things unless you run into others) 3. By sneaking 4. By using abilities like Falcon's Swiftness to outrun everything
I was in there with all kinds of groups, organized, unorganized, spur of the moment random pickups, solo just jumping into the fray, Tanking solo with the fray jumping into me, ect. All of them a wide variety of cp levels. All of them a different number of players and roles. Groups of 3, 5, 12, you name it, I ran it.
The best approach for people who are lower or mid range cp or who may not be used to harder content is to make sure you have a tank or 2 and a healer or 2. Traditional roles, and you will have no problems. 12 people is best. With that, it should be a relatively smooth approach.
I can see where solo players may feel frustrated, but this content is for groups. As I mentioned earlier, there are methods to get around alone most of which do not require extremely high dps or cp level either.
Some things I was disappointed to see: Most of the Realm exploiting 1 faction. To eliminate this, the other factions should get a bonus or something checked against the total amount of players in said faction to offset the exploit. Also, people not picking up solo players asking for groups in zone when everyone could see they had plenty of room in their group. What happened to having a welcoming Tamriel? And what do they have to lose by doing this? Especially when some of those groups were following us. If we had more room, we would have picked them up.
Some of the tasks were a little vague as to what needed to be done, just like some of the fights. I find this to be a good thing personally. We had many laughs watching the dps trying to res each other while the Tanks and Healers were trying to figure it out😂 The adventure isn't always a bad thing. And if people are as good at the game as they claim, they will figure it out as we did. I can see where some people just prefer to watch someone else's video of it and take it as gospel. Its a lot more fun, just to group up and dive in.
I will add additional feedback as our guilds play it more, this is just an initial take. Also, its a new thing for Zos and im very glad to see them doing new things so give them a chance.

Re: First Impressions on the Night Market
As a 95% of the time solo player I actually really enjoyed it, you can sneak around and do the quests that don't need kills, you can look for a group in the zone chat or just find people running round and go with them. My main issue is skills/HA not working properly all the time and that some areas are totally empty.
I think an option in the group finder specifically for NM would better facilitate grouping.
People saying that they only play solo so can't do NM are just holding themselves back.

I find the experience after evening one... rather tragic.
The zone looks so exciting and there seems to be so much to do, but where's the motivation when you walk through a door for the first time and your main character, with 45,000 health, gets killed by a mob in two shots?
Mobs that you can defeat with some strategy, but what's the point if they drop absolutely no loot? We have the same thing in the IA, but at least there the mobs in the lower arcs are easy to defeat, and you don't waste your time fighting through hordes of enemies for nothing.
And what's with the insanity of not being able to revive on the spot? You finally find a group fighting a boss, you die, and you end up on some platform somewhere—why? It's completely beyond me why the Night Market wasn't designed for different difficulty levels. As so many have already said, if you can't play during peak hours, if there are no groups around, and you're a solo player, then there's absolutely nothing to do here.
I was really looking forward to the Night Market and would love to explore it, but right now I can't see that happening at all. It's not fun, not relaxing, just pure stress – and I already have enough of that at work.

I found the Night Market to be good fun.
I think the major pain point that would alleviate most of the problems people have with it is that the population cap for each instance should be increased. When I tested it on PTS the cap was 36 players, as far as I can tell that hasn't been increased on live. When you consider how big each zone is and how everyone will be at different grind stages/quests the zones are kind of empty and I can understand it might be annoying to find someone who is doing exactly what you need to do specifically, if you don't luck in with the Group Finder.

Well, it was much worse on PTS. Originally, every splinter was RNG. Now, it's only the "weak enemies" and coffer splinters. And considering that this is a 7-week thing, I think that's more than fine.
